Part One: From the Streets with Malo2! For a less biased opinion, we decided to go on the streets and ask some players what they think about some issues in runescape. Question: Is cooking even a skill nowdays? ----------------------- Salano2: No, nobody wastes time on making cakes when you can cook a ton of lobsters and shark for an easy 99. They should separate cooking into fish and other stuff. Elf Warior 2: No Zyrm: nope Mememe33: shows how much you can nolife. Pokemking: Not really, too easy and too many peoople have the skill cape. Chineset: Ya sure Dragonbow 99: No not really, because I've seen lvl 3's with the skill cape Question: With billions being staked, do you think the duel arena is becoming too unfair? ---------------------- Salano2: yes, some people are making 500m in a single fight while others are working thousands of hours to make 1/5th of that. Stake a phat set and you can buy every buyable stat to 99, thanks to the free 1.5bil. Zyrm: No, its up to them what they stake. Mememe33: I've never staked before, but it has always been unfair. Pokemking: Yeah a bit. Dragonbow: Don't know, I rarely go there, only to fight wth friends. Speaking of cooking... Without looking at the high scores, which skill do you think has the most people at lvl 99? ----------------------- P2p player answers: _______________ Mememe33: I'd place my money on cooking. Pokemking: Either cooking or fletching Dragonbow99: Knowing all of the macros nowdays, I'd say fishing --------------------- F2p players answers: _______________ Imperialpop: I would have to say strength the5255: Strength Chineset: Magic Vonkotsu128: Woodcutting Because there seemed to be such a big difference in the answers from free players and members, I decided to split them, and let you decide why they might have given such different answers. Correct answer- Strength with over 18,000 people at lvl 99. Part Two: RuneScape Deja Vu by St_shir! Hello from sunny Europe! This is officially the warmest day so far this year, so I decided to do nothing at all but play today, panting like a heavily furred dog at the heat. As I logged in, a sudden deja vÃÆÃâÃâú hit me. It felt, smelled, tasted exactly like the very first summer of me playing RuneScape. For that precious half of a second, it was so exciting to play. As quick as it hit me, it was gone. But it got me remembering the beginning of days for my little pixelated friend who I possess and whos head I haunt with weird ideas of what to do next. I remembered landing in Lumbridge, being scared to death at goblins thinking they might attack me. Man, they were huge.. I stood on the end of Lumby bridge for half an hour, pondering whether to risk it or not. I actually had a story going on in my mind, kind of a roleplay. My father was killed in Draynor by accident because some greater darker evil which was lurking there, happened to be in the same place with him, doing their dark evil lurking things. Anyway, my character, knowing nothing of the great evil out there, ventured out for vengeance, falling into the spell of Zamorak on the road (okay, I have to admit, I really like the color red). I started playing with new ideas every time I got to log in. I lost that spark somewhere down the road though. I still sometimes roleplay a bit, but it's hard when mining 40k gold in a row, not too versatile and adventure-like, one might say. To this day, I love new players. They are full of that new, fresh spirit, not yet corrupted by experiences of all kind, good and bad. So today, for a moment, I met myself back then again. It was invigorating, pulled my pixels to stand straight again. I have to admit, she had gotten a little slouchy with all that mining going on. To be completely honest, I wouldn't go back. I am satisfied with where I am ingame and out, how I have gotten to this point and where I seem to be going. Nevertheless it is nice to sulk in that bittersweet nostalgic summernight's dream for a moment, thinking about how I shouldn't have tried to kill that black knight back then. Or how I should have let that boy from my class kiss me when we were ten. These are all good dreams but beware! Dreamtraps do exist and dreamspider will definately have a nibble at you if you stay too long. So, back to the reality of today, which is really hot but very nice alltogether. So the spring ends and another summer begins, a new start with sometimes unbearable temperatures, yes, but I wish you all the best of deja vÃÆÃâÃâú's now and that these moments right here, right now, would make a perfect deja vu in the future. Part Three: Blah by Firsttsurugi! Section 1: Word of Advice Keep your cousins away from your clan. It'll cause rules such as: no family discussion, no arguing, and no guests can use the boards. If the item you're using to make money is in the wilderness and near the ardougne lever, only bring a noobish blade weapon. Never bring rune+ weapons or you'll actually lose something important. Don't think of Silverlight as the most powerful weapon in the game or you'll be highly disappointed. If you're a non-member, than try for a rune weapon. If you're a member, than try for an abyssal whip, ancient staff, barrelchest anchor, god staff, or barrows. If you hate you're current homeworld, go to the German ones. Section 2: You know you're a noob if... You know you're a noob if you think Silverlight is the most powerful weapon in the game. You know you're a noob if you brag about getting 600gp for completing Shield of Arrav. You know you're a noob if you call everyone else a noob. You know you're a noob if you try to give the wilderness rules. You know you're a noob if you blame others for your problem. You know you're a noob if you think that EVERYONE admires Zezima. Section 3: Unjust criticism Too many people are calling everyone who doesn't do as that person sees as the thing they should do. If people are mining coal at a faster rate than them, don't complain, either keep trying or switch worlds. Also, too many people think of people like Zezima as noobs with no life. They only think that because you know that they are not yet as good as them. Once they get a few skills to 99, I'm sure it's easier to get others to 99 because they can see through their financial needs. Don't criticize these people. Section 4: Thread of the week: Investigating the Wise Old Man On the Tip.it forums, in the General section, there is a thread called: Investigating the Wise Old Man. This thread was made in order to discuss and theorize about the Wise Old Man (or WOM). While they do get off track a lot, they have managed to come up with great theories. Their current main theory is that the WOM is attempting to start a second god war. Part of the theory entails that he is attempting to rise to godhood, as Zamorak did. There is also early talk that the WOM is not really a Saradominist, but is, in fact, a follower if Zaros. They are also checking different towns and cities, looking for anything suspicous. These searches have uncovered many things, such as the Saradomin carpets with the colors of other gods, such a Zamorak, and a link between Lumbridge and Kandarin. If you wish to check it out, go to the General section of Tip.it. Part Four: The Bronze by Chr!stopher! The Bronze ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ part 1 By Chr!stopher Ah... here it happened, taken out of the orange warm furnace together with 14 cousins of mine, from different ores but the same rocks. Put into the rug sack of our creator, now, it̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s not that much of it anyway. Of the top my cousin told me, he could see knights walking around in all colours, a few in the colour of us. Our creator himself was wearing nothing except an old dirty apron. Our creator mumbled something ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬ÅOḫ̢̢ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæ how great it will be when I can create Iron so I can fight in that!̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâÃ
