The end-user (i.e. you) has no way of calculating this value without spending infinite time doing tests until enough sample data is available to make a conclusion with ~99% certainty. :geek: I'm sure a Jagex employee could look at the code that describes the interaction between a player and their target and give you an answer, but you're not going to convince anyone to do it for you.

Another piece of equipment you might consider bringing in inventory (or as shield slot) is the falador diary reward shield to save even more prayer potions. Since I find it hard to burst for a long time per day, this extra 99 points of prayer (translates to a 3 dose prayer potion) each day would be excellent in prolonging my trip and thus more charms per trip.

It could be any number of things.. For example: - tester went through all the emotes on some of the hairstyles on both male and female models and they worked, so they assumed that the others worked (time constraints). Taking shortcuts like this happens ("If they didn't code these wrong, I'm willing to bet they did these right too!") - miscalculation in code that appears to run as it should, but does a little something extra that isn't immediately apparent to the coder/tester - complex steps to reproduce a bug. These will always be the hardest bugs to find because you have to do specific things to get them to appear. Very hard for a team of testers to do these simply because they are time-constrained, and 100,000 (or whatever the number of players ingame at any time is) runescape players are not. Also need to consider the number of updates in one day. 3 somewhat-major updates is pretty good considering the amount of text/processes that were made. Although, I did notice that they copy-pasted the fally reward conversation for all 3 levels of completion :evil: . I was a little peeved but it didn't really affect my reward or how I got it too much, so it's alright. You could be right, maybe the people at Jagex are beginning to wind down during the this season for whatever reason... We shall never know.

tl; dr You watch too many movies. Good for them if they've suaccessfully found their niche and managed to become competition for some of the larger companies in gaming. It's about time EA and Activision-Blizzard (to name a few) get some motivation to bring out better games that are accessible to more people.

What you said pretty much summed up why I love slayer so much. Gems/hides from drops -> Crafting Essence -> RC Noted logs -> Fletch, FM Runes -> Magic Charms -> Duh Seeds -> Farming, Herblaw Noted ores -> Smithing Bones -> Prayer just to name a few... By just training my slayer, I gain resources for all these skills that can be put to use at a later time. Suits my hoarding personality perfectly :thumbup:

It's really surprising that people are already drawing conclusions on shields that barely anyone has access to. I'm going to hold onto my final opinions until I see some testing models, thanks very much.

I wonder if it would be a viable option to go in full guthan and get that bonus healing. I understand that guthan's ability doesn't always proc when you want it to, but it could make things easier, slightly or not. Also, attack speed is a factor but if my theory is correct, i'd choose survivability over damage-per-second any day of the week :

Well, required items would be: -Jennica's Ring -Ammy of Ghostspeak -Hatchet -Pickaxe -Tinderbox -Spade -Albino Rat pouches *or any other blue charm pouch apparently -Good food (he hit me for a 32 14 :[) -Energy potions *optional but useful -1-click tele *just in case I used about 18 shark because I messed up a few times. Once you get the hang of dodging the thingies you'll be golden.
