Login Pin + Screenshot Logger Protection -New RSOF Thread-
If that's the case with everyone, then there is no reason to to have login pins or bank pins. However, this is definitely not that case and the answer is not as simple as people think. You can be the most cautious person while you surf the web, but that one time you decide to download something is all it takes. Instant messengers can be used to send keyloggers to unsuspecting friends. Password crackers can brute force any number of password through an account. Also, ask yourself, "Do I have the bank pin?". If you do, then there is no reason you should be questioning this suggestion.

Tip.it Vs Corr. War Over!
This is a game, not a fantasy novel. Why are you being so negative, if you have nothing good to say dont say anything at all. I wouldnt say negative just realist. Mssw we do well in because alot of members turn up to fight- this wont happen in a rune fight. Plus making it a pkri has completly ruined any chance of winning tip.it had. Plus Im willing to bet that VR will turn up for it and crash. Another thing is there are no leaders that ring out to me on the tip.it forums that have the skills to lead in a run in of this size except for enzco but he is in corr anyway. And come on - this is a game not a fantasy novel- we arent all going to "die" for what we believe in. A game is what you make of it, especially one like Runescape. Back On-topic: I really want to come to this one, but I'd have to bring my mith pure if I did. -.-

Tip It takes on Clan Corruption! I wish I could add my blade to the legions of tip.it, but, alas, I cannot. I guess I could go with my mith pure. If you can, I recommend that you attend this event. I can't imagine how good this fight will be. Good luck to all of the participants.

Thanks for pointing that out. :

F2P
You could finish up 99 fishing, I guess. And 99 firemaking if you're up to it. That'll take about 3m and a couple months. Put a nice trim on your fishing cape.

They're thinking about letting high level F2P post on the forums. Yeah, Treasure Trail items are probably a better example. But I still like my colored gloves example. : I think I'll add Treasure Trail items to the first post.

Holiday Musings and a permanent solution to rares
Raising the GP cap is probably fairly simple as I mentioned before. Maybe we should ask Mark Gerhard. : Is he a computer scientist? I think Andrew would likely be the better candidate. ;) Just a joke. =P I do think that changing the data type from int to long could work, but there's probably a simpler solution.

Holiday Musings and a permanent solution to rares
I don't believe he ever said anything about removing holiday items. He talked about removing rares.

The time it takes to enter your login pin won't matter. You won't login to the game until you entered both your password and your login pin. Plus, you have to wait about 30 seconds to login anyway.

Holiday Musings and a permanent solution to rares
With all due respect, I don't care how long you've played. Are you higher level than me? If so, kudos to you. If not... you have a bit more work to do. ;) People really need to see that the length of time they've played really does mean little to nothing. Your actual achievements are what mean something. If I joined in 2008 and I am level 138, and I meet a level 50 who joined in 2001... why should I think highly of him in any way? I've gotten 135 levels in a year, but he's gotten 50 in 8 years. Not very good. Well i don't care about levels, only about fun, knowledge and people who like my holiday items :) People do need to get rid of this mentality that showing off how long you've been playing means something. Having fun is what matters. Some people enjoy gaining levels and some people enjoying collecting and showing off items that some people don't have. P.S. Team Buddies was one of the funnest games I've ever played.

Holiday Musings and a permanent solution to rares
nachalo Ah, but it is broken, which is why I'm suggesting it be fixed. As I mentioned, what has happened with rares was never meant to, thus it is broken. That's like saying if a married couple never meant to have a baby, then it's broken and should be fixed (by killing it lol). I think I just described abortion. That was a bad example, but, just because something was never meant to happen, doesn't mean it's broken. The wilderness and free trade were taken out of the game to stop RTW. The system was not only broken, but encouraged cheating, scamming, "hacking", and macroing. It had to go. The holiday items situation may be a bit sticky, but getting a reaction similar to the removal of the wilderness to fix something that I don't believe needs fixing isn't worth it. And I disagree with you about adding a "Join Date" on the highscores, and I disagree with the people who say holiday items are enjoyed because they show how long you've been playing. Rares and holiday items are just all around cool items, and the fact that a small number of items makes them cooler. I'd rather have a rare than tell everyone to look me up on the highscores. Good read though. konets

Dyson
Very nice, streamlined RTS. Art style is gorgeous. Still in developement stages, yet a finalist for the Seumas McNally Grand Prize of the Independent Games Festival. Only 6 missions right now, but there are user-created maps if you want more. http://www.dyson-game.com/ [hide=Pictures] [/hide]

I picked out this comment to add: Kronicdemise - "It's really annoying when you take off your cape, and forget you can't put it back on." And reply to Zebles about how many f2p players do exactly that and how many more f2p may be convinced to do the same if this idea gets through.

Ook Im sorry, before I was confused about the support list. So leave out tifers, and only put the rsof members? Or make a seperate column for each. Ill do the former for now, unless you disapprove. And yes, Ill make a seperate area in the post clarifying that the suggestion is not against the rules. Sorry about my delay, i wasnt sure if you wanted me to add that to the post. Yeah, take out the TIF supporters and keep the RSOF supporters. And I didn't know you were part of TET.

Sorry if I seem a little impatient, but I'm still waiting for these things on the thread, Shadow_Clawe: - Support list that only includes supporters from the RSOF thread - "Is this idea against the rules?" And if you're still worried about credit, then I currently have no time to manage a thread on RSOF and have entrusted that responsibilty to you. :

Sure, how so? I reserved a few posts as there is a character limit in each post, in case there were too many supporters to fit into one post it would drag on to the next. Also, you might want to check on page 2, someone name Ninja said something about this idea being against the rules, which I tried to respond to as best I could. And maybe to clear this up with others who dont read that post, add a section "Is this idea against the rules?" And state why its not against the rules and should be added. Just a suggestion. One more thing: Im gonna have to change the names on the support list from tif names to RSN's. Just so itll make more sense, as people may be curious why it has 50+ supporters and only a few posts so far. Is this idea against the rules? Technically, this idea could be listed under the "Member's items on F2P Worlds", but this would not give f2p skillcapes. Remember, that you would still have to be a member obtain any type of skillcape. And members items being wearable in f2p has been done before. With colored gloves, you can even trade them to f2p players. With skillcapes, they are untradable. And yes, many people could use this excuse to get other members items wearable in f2p, but we're talking about skillcapes. After someone achieves the goal of getting 99, I think Jagex should give a little and give players the ability to wear skillcapes without stopping them from enjoying parts of the game. You think that's good enough? And go ahead and just put the RSNs.

Yeah, that looks good. Maybe putting something like "An idea by Crimsoncow42:" at the top would be nice. Edit: And you might have to give the "Good comments and suggestions" its own post later. Edit2: And put this after the "This is NOT..." "A shortened version for those of you who don't want to read the whole post: Make Skillcapes wearable, not obtainable, in f2p." Okay, Ill definately update asap by tommorow but atm am on ipod touch, which I cannot copy paste text. 2 new supporters ^.^ I read somewhere in the code of conduct amd it said its against the rules to post on behalf of another user... which is why i took the idea credits out. said something like, if their already a member they should do it themselves, and if their not, members features shouldnt be extended to them... -.- Yeah, I was wondering about that too. Technically, you're just giving credit like some people do when they repost a suggestion that has gotten eaten by monsters, but I understand. And more stuff for the thread: Maybe we should separate the support lists.
