Half Life 2 Crashing
Hi, I am having problem with Half Life 2. When I attack a guard with the crowbar, after you first get it from Barney, the game will suddenly crash, and I am left hearing a reoccurring sound of the crow bar hitting the guard, and the screen goes black. My computer is left unresponsive, and will not respond to CTRL+ALT+DELETE, nor any other commands. I have to physically hold down the power button to get it out. How can I get around this? I'm Running Windows XP with a 1.7GHZ (Minimal I know...)

Looking for a New Game? Ask Here!
Does anybody know any games that will run well on quite an old machine with lowish specs? It's only a 1.7gHZ... I don't care about the age of it, I just finished playing Half Life 1 for third time, so my expectations on graphic quality is low... I'd prefer if it was a FPS bur an RPG would be fine.

Things that annoy the HELL out of you.
Oh my god I hate that so much. It's worse here in New Zealand because most of the motorways(High way) are only about two lanes, so you're stuck for a while...

Finally giving in to cravings
Lolnothx. First, X-Box is cheaper than a PS3. I don't need Bluray or anything else it has. Second, X-Box has exclusives I like. Third, I've always like X-Box's over PlayStation. It appeals to me more. Fourth, I don't like PS3's controller. To be honest it's just opinion. PS3 is a brilliant machine, but I'll always like XBox's over them.

Finally giving in to cravings
After many years, I've finally decided that I am finally going to get an xbox 360. However, I have some questions regarding buying one... Should I buy it brand new, or should I get one second hand? If new, what advantages does the 250gb slimline have over the normal one? If second hand, is there a manufacturing date that I need to be aware of? Also, do I have to buy Microsoft's wifi adapter or can i use any wifi adapter that plugs into USB? Thanks guys.

HDR is High Dynamic Range. It is used so that you get bot the High Lights and the Low Lights of something in one photo. To do this, you take one photo where you think it looks good, then one that is over contrasted, and one that is under contrasted. Then you get a photo editing program (photomatix here) and mash them all together. Not really, but you get what I mean, right? @Felix: Devonport what! Favourite is the HDR of Devo' Wharf. After NCEA I think I need to do a shoot down there. Also crop your Pano, I can see black ;/

Pic's from my Holidays
Drop bear? It's a kola bear, and those things are so high from the eucalyptus they wouldn't hurt you. OT: First two are the only decent, the last two are just snap shots :( Favourite is the second though. Love the colours. Pity you didn't make it an HDR :(

Help me lose some of this extra weight!
Don't know why I didn't see this earlier but looking at your routine, don't eat right before bed. All your having is additional energy you don't need. It sits in your muscles unused and turns to fat while you are sleeping. If you feel you do need a snack before bed, make sure it isn't high in carbs. Can of tuna could be good.

Go away MSN!!

Go away MSN!!
Hey guys/gals. My laptop is running Windows XP SP3. Occasionally, I use MSN messenger. Now, because of MSN's little use, I decided not to run it at start up using msconfig -> startup. That works fine, until I go and use MSN again. As soon as I open it, it decides that it will run itself at start up again, until I uncheck it again. No other program does this. How can I stop it doing this, It's getting annoying... Thanks Tip.It.

Pregnant after 50?
And that is proof why people shouldn't give birth at such a young age.

Pregnant after 50?
I had a weird friend once whose parents where 60 and 50 when he was born. He's got mental issues and is pretty weird at times. It's kinda sad. I disagree with it. At the age, it would be nearly impossible for them to naturally conceive, and even then, the child will be limited (Obviously a 50 year old will not be active as a 25-30 year old.) to what they can do with there parents.

Help me lose some of this extra weight!
Just a friendly tip. It's easier to get rid of calories by not eating them, then it is by doing exercise to get rid of them.

Homelessness
As long as they aren't threatening, or doing anything else stupid, I don't have a problem with them. No jokes, but Auckland has a hobo that lives under one of the bridges on our motorway, near a train station, that has a laptop...
