  1. Thank you very much. :D Thanks guys. You definitely have a good point about the background being too blurry, since the hedges etc. are supposed to be only a few feet away. I'll try to put a more-detailed background in the next drawing I do and see how that looks compared to the blurry/airbrush type background I tend to fall back on. Also, compared to the reference, the shoulder pads are indeed noticeably pointy. I must have gotten carried away while smoothing out (ie erasing parts of) the edges. The fish was my favorite part to draw, glad you like! :) Thanks! I tend to work slowly and sporadically but I plan to keep on drawing as best I can. Lately I've been working on improving my ability to draw people (previously I'd focused more on landscapes and animals), so I'm glad it's had an effect! :D
  2. I hadn't drawn anything in a while, so I thought I would make a formal portrait picture of my character. My favorite skills in the game are farming and construction (well, not leveling construction so much as having a fancy house to repose in), so I wanted to incorporate these both. I took a few screencaps of a formal garden in my house and a screencap of the character's standard outfit. Then I Photoshopped the reference pics together to create the final composition I was looking for. Using this image as a template, I painted the final version using primarily the airbrush in Photoshop: For more details, please see the large version here. In keeping with my usual (inefficient, prolonged) style, the detailing primarily consists of thousands upon thousands of layered low-opacity brushstrokes: This wasn't really a drawing in which I tried to expand my artistic horizons or anything like that. It was more of an indulgent pic in which I got to play around with the things I like best, shading and texture, while having the broad outlines of the drawing already laid out for me via the game. It was fun, and I always welcome concrit. :)
  3. 10/10 Great job, and congratulations! Now you can farm for money instead of xp.
  4. I don't post often in the forum, but I visit it everyday; it is a great resource and is home to a thriving community. Thanks for all the work you guys have done in bringing it back.
  5. Pics! Before the war, Edgeville: Walking to the battle zone: Waiting for the enemy: No one left to kill... and green capes as far as the eye can see.
  6. The first and only time I ever died was at combat level 95. I had wandered into the Kalphite Queen's lair in search of potato cacti. (I was new to membs and figured that I was invulnerable to everything at that combat level.) Within seconds my hp bar had nearly vanished. I was wearing a dueling ring and somehow managed to click on the duel arena tele in between poundings by the kalphite guardians. I ran towards the bank, realized I wouldn't make it, and died from poison after closing myself in the kebab store. I respawned in Falador, home teled, and managed to get all my stuff back. (People must have assumed that the red dot in the kebab store was a spinach roll or something.) I still can't believe I was that lucky. That full rune was really all the money I had at the time. Later, I came close to being PK'd in level 50 wildy getting a clue scroll, and I lost most of my hp during Underground Pass by recklessly running past wall [bleep]es, but I've only actually died once. Weird huh?
  7. I agree, that is pretty bad. Even I haven't gotten that bad from a level 3 clue.
  8. From a level 3 scroll that took me into the wildy three times, including level 31 wildy where I came within 6 hp of being PK'd by a level 124 with a whip.
  9. Cool, thanks! I never thought of that before, but you're right: I set recovery questions when I signed up and haven't changed them since. Thanks again!
  10. Naw, it's free. I just picked up one myself the other day.
  11. I don't remember when I created my account (I think it was in October or November 2006), and I was wondering if there is any way of finding out.
