  1. I completed it at 56 agility. I did fail the handholds 28 times, but I was able to get the whole quest done in one trip I believe. (It was very, very frustrating, though.) I would recommend summer pies rather than agility pots for a little extra boost.
  2. These are good. I have nothing to add, except to note that when I was training agility to 70, I used summer pies as the healing food. I had a bunch lying around the bank, and they had the added benefit of keeping my agility level boosted, with (supposedly) lower fail rates as a side effect. It's something to consider anyways. :)
  3. Every now and then you'll get four-hour herbs. It's a pain, but it'll grow up eventually.

  5. Back when I was F2P I used World 16 Airs to get to 50 RC. You could try it and see if you like it; I found it less boring than normal RC. (ROF Quick find code: 37-38-228-54522372)
  6. Enjoy the awesome that is String Ammy. (I got 99 Mage with it! :))
  7. I don't know of any guides, but if it'll help, here's a writeup I posted on a similar thread in this forum a while ago: The trader is in a building east of the Varrock general store and south of the fletching shop.
  8. You can use mangled bones, and you DON'T have to kill the spirit, but you DO have to build the pyre on the spot right next to Otto, not any other spot. (Took me four tries to get that one.)
  9. You can go downward, but you'll have to use a spiral staircase in the hall to be able to access both levels. I believe.
  10. It took me six days once. I remember, because I was trying to do a quest that required brewing in Keldagrim, and I kept thinking: "Well, I'll wait till this Chef's Delight is done..." Annoying, but it will get done eventually.
  11. I think you have to talk to him for a while and it comes up as a choice during the dialogue. I did this for my giant pouch and it seemed to take a lot of talking / going through every option to find the right one, but it is in there somewhere.
  12. If I recall correctly, you have to talk to him about repairing pouches, and the option comes up after that.
  13. Yep, I've sold him 8k noted at one go before.
  14. I personally averaged 134k xp per hour stringing and only 65k xp per hour alching. I used stringing all the way to 99 and loved it. At roughly 1600 amulets per hour (my average), it would take you around 28 hours to string all 45k ammies.
  15. I've used string jewellery from 92 to 97 mage, and will be using it for 99. I personally highly recommend it. I average 134k xp per hour, at a loss of around 3.5-4 gp per xp (if you've completed the Rogue trader miniquest after Summer's End; otherwise, you'll lose around 6 gp/xp). To use this spell, buy however many unstrung amulets you need on the GE, and twice as many astral runes. Equip a mud staff and fill your inventory with astral runes and unstrung ammies, click on the spell icon, and the spell will cast itself 27 times in a row. Yup, 2,268 xp per click! I find this much more tolerable than alching, and worth the extra expense, in my opinion. I camp in the Lumby basement and periodically stock up on butter from the chest. After you've strung the jewelry, note it and use it on the Rogue trader (unlocked after Summer's End) to recoup a good portion of your costs.
  16. Ooh, you're right about the level. I don't know what I was thinking. #-o It makes sense that the clues wouldn't interfere, now that I think about it, since "work" is collected rather than items. Anecdotally, I have never gotten a clue scroll from combat while I've had workers on fish, but that must just be bad luck then. :)
  17. If you set your workers on fish, you'll occasionally pick up a level 2 clue scroll (in addition to caskets and boots). The problem is, if you get one of these scrolls, you can't get one from combat.
  18. Yes, I believe it does.
  19. Mith plates are fastest, but most costly. If you want to save some money, make and sell unfinished addy bolts or arrowtips. This is slower, but will save 50%+ in costs in the long run. I keep a spreadsheet of calculations for leveling, so here are some numbers, assuming you sell the final product on the GE: Mith plate: 250 xp/plate, 7.428 gp per xp Addy bolt (unf): 70 xp/bar, 3.584 gp per xp Addy arrowtip: 70 xp/bar, 3.024 gp per xp Gold bars (with goldsmith gloves): 56.2 xp/bar, 5.640 gp per xp
  20. You can use a Crystal Ball/Elemental Sphere/Crystal of Power to change the element of a stave (eg air to fire), but it can't charge unpowered orbs.
  21. They funny thing is, I think I had a glory halfway-done at one point. I must have turned the layer visibility off to work on the shirt and never turned it back on again. God agreed. I can't stand 99% of runescape fanart. This, however, brings some actual style into a boring game -- well done. Thanks guys! I'm glad you like the drawing, and I'm really glad it had the effect I intended it to have. You encourage me to keep working on my artwork and developing my style (even though it can be really tedious and frustrating at times, lol). :D
  22. I think they are a bit sharp compared to the reference, and I have the sneaking suspicion that the perspective may be off a bit (not so much a suspicion as a glaring fact, lol). As usual, I spent too much time shading and not enough time considering: Is this what object x would actually look like from this angle? Or: What shape is object x exactly and how would it sit on the body? I tend to be lazy when it comes to discerning the underlying structure of objects and how they interact with each other. Aww, thanks. :D You are absolutely right. I had a vague idea of a light source coming in from the upper left, and it should have cast a shadow on the far side of the right arm. I have the bad habit of drawing what I think looks cool instead of what would actually appear given a particular set of lighting conditions. Considering that I want my art to look realistic, this obviously something that I need to work on more! Thanks again, and I'll try keep these things in mind next time I begin something!
  23. Thank ya muchly. I have made up my mind that next time I submit a piece it will have a legitimate background (no more of this fake photograph-blur), so wish me luck! :D
  24. I've been using my trusty Wacom Intuous3 6x8" tablet everday for nearly 3 years now. I think a tablet is a great investment for anyone seriously interested in digital art, since it allows for greater precision and is much easier on the wrist. (I even play RS using my tablet instead of mouse sometimes, although the pesky make-x options get in the way of a purely keyboard-less experience.)
  25. Aww, thanks guys! I enjoy drawing these pics (even if I don't do them very often!), and I'm glad you enjoy them too.
