  1. I don't lure, don't plan to lure but I do think that it is against the rules and should be reported (trade lures, from what I understand). However, as many have posted earlier.... If a player willingly goes out into the wild, fully knowing what is out there and what can happen, then that is the responsibilty of that player. i mean, there is a "hard to miss" warning before going out to the wild. If you still venture out there for whatever reason, that is your risk that you take. Trade or no trade. Bottomline....do not ever trade in the wild. No matter what the other person states. I feel that people who lure others into the wild to kill them is a lame as rc pkers. Players with time on their hands killing other players for the thrill of killing them. Anyway, I do not back up luring. Pking, is one thing. I don't support pking rcers either, but I know that is a risk that I have to take if I plan to go through the abyss. Finally, luring, I feel, is the same as scammming. You are telling the other player that you are "not" going to kill them to trade ann item (dishonesty). Then you attack them for whatever item you requested? Yeah, that is very similar to stating you are going to pay 100k for an item but pay 1000 instead. Yes, the victim has a responsibility as well, but scamming is scammming and luring is just another scam. That is why there are "Scam artists" in the real world as well. Perhaps Runescape is not too far off of real society as we hoped it would be!!! LOL
  2. First day.. I hated fishing, and I mean I hated it. I enjoyed cooking though. There were many aspects I was still trying to figure out. Ihad other players guide me around the area to help me figure out the game play. That was about it. 3 years later, still playing, woot woot
  3. Ok, having read that....Abyss, hands down is by far the quickest method, trust me on this, I know (79 RC here) Good luck and have fun.
  4. The quickiest way, I think, would be the balloon. As previously stated, going through the abyss to craft laws is too dangerous and you will not have any armor to protect yourself from the "evil" pkers. The balloon method, requiring a Ring of Dueling and logs is far more safer and quicker than the Draynor method! Good luck!
  5. Smashig Brilliant idea!!! However, I guess I am the miniority of people that love to do Quests all by myself. I get a greater sense f accomplishment when I do it alone. But I do know that not everyone is like me and I know that there are those who really do need the assistance of others. So I am in favor of having a "Quest" world. I think it would benefit those who are determined to quest, but hate doing it alone. Good luck!
  6. simple....it allows me to do something I normally don't get to do...use magic!!! Play aroundin the medival time frame, travel and make new "friends." Time killer....well....that too but it is by far a great stress reliefer!
  7. Wow! Ok, I read the article and I really don't know what to say. MOre like a giant, "..." I noticed that a large amount of readers tend to bash the writer on the style in which it was presented. "Guthix Skiller." Well, I would say, I like the style. I mean, the writer is clearly remaining in character in spirit of the game. Personally, I do not work on "balance" for my skills. I mainly play RS for the quests and I work on skills in hopes to meet quest requirements and make essential items for the quests. However, because I have completed all of the quests... I just continue to go for my own personal goal of 99 mage. Because of my own personal love for maging, I just work on mage and RC. Depending on what I am doing in the game, I may work on other skills as well. For example, I am currently really interested in barrows because it gives me access to blood runes without having to purchase them. To do barrows, I need to make prayer pots and I need food. Thus I fish (quickest means to food) and cook. I could also farm and make much higher healing foods, but I think that would take too lang and Ineed food immediately so I can replenish my blood runes surplus. For RCing, I need pure essence. Before I would buy my essence, but since the price for Pure Essence has jumped to a ridiculous amount, I refuse to pay 100 gp for something I can just mine (thus I am working on mining). Well, as to which "God" I train under....funny how the author claims "Guthix" for balance. Thus: Non combat skills would be "Sara" while combat skills would be "Zammy." Not to bash the author in anyway. It was just an interesting read in my opinion and something for all of us to just keep in mind. There are different methods to traing certain skills. I think I will just stick to maging, after all, I am the "lil mage gurl!"
  8. My compliments to the author. Wow! I have been wondering the same and I have had people question me about it as well. Personally, I am a professional, an educator (hence the username). During my time off, I do play an abundant amount of RS. I don't mind it. I have very little money to do much with and I have very little real life friends. But I would not go as far as to say I am "obsessed" with RS. Similar to what the article pointed out, I do, as many would state, "Have a life." If my reallife friends call, I go and hang out with them. I go to work. I don't call of sick for updates. I stay pretty active in the social realm, both on and off line. Yet, when I am online, I have had some people ask me if I am addicted or not. It was difficult to answer. Yes, I am online a lot, but that would not classify me as an addict, nor someone obsessed. I just enjoy gaming. Again, wonderful article. Look forward to the next one as well!
  9. This is by far a better banking system. I do hope tat Jagex does consider it, it would make banking and finding items 10 time easier. I can't begin to count how many minutes I have wasted, "looking for 1 item." Good luck
  10. I am a lil mage from Hawaii named: hisensei808. I have read and heard some much about tip it so here I finally am. You can add me on RS, user name is the same, however I keep my chat on friends most of the time (like 98%). My hobbies in game are: crafting, maging, runecrafting, maging, agility, herblore, maging, some cooking and some fishing/farming, but most of all: maging!! Oh! and I love doing quests!! I am really looking forward to the upcoming quests (they better bring out that blood altar soon!) So, if you think you would like me for a friend, reply here and let me know a little bit about you. However, I do not like rude individuals, so if you can't be friendly, I may take you off my list. Take care.
