  1. My god the grammer in my above post was terrible. I re-read it and was all like, Eh? Sorry about that :P
  2. *stares at sharpers tech head rank :? hmm do u get those in bubble gum machines now? this has happened once before of cause u never heard about it cause the guy died after his computer exploded from being so full of spyware, addware, malware etc :P Tech_Head's are noobs. They don't really know anything :) If the guy died and no ones ever heard of it then how did you hear about it?
  3. There is risk of that with ANY computer. Your friend haven't multiple "bad luck" instances is very suspicious. From my experience and what I have heard professional about Dell's they are very realiable computers and well worth the price.
  4. I would discard this statement until some clarification is shown because my experience with Dell's has been 100% different. I have owned or used and worked with over 100 Dell computers over the last 3 years and have had absolutely no issues. What sort of problems did these people encounter Greatsilverwyrm?
  5. Let me know how you go and I'll post back here after I test some things on my computer :)
  6. GAH! What is it with my keyboard and missing the t in the all the time! :(
  7. It is not illegal to obtain and use the Microsoft Java Virtual Machine. Infact the MSJVM is actually older source code from Sun Microsystems and is still licensed until 31st December 2007. Microsoft still offers support for the MSJVM but this support will be obsolete at the above date. Microsoft is encouraging all MSJVM users to start he transiton over to Sun Java before the above date. I'ld be interested where you read that using MSJVM was illegal.
  8. I have the exact same problem. It only occurs if you use the World Select button to change from one world to another. I find that if you try to reload to a different world again it might work. The only solutions I've found is closing the client window and reopening it. I haven't been too fussed by the issue so I've just been ignoring it, but since it's not just me with the issue I might have a better look into the problem. EDIT: One thing I haven't tried yet is completely uninstalling Sun Java and downloading the latest version from java.com. I have a tendency to not let Sun Java automatically update so there is most likely a newer version. This is the first thing I will try. Also testing the issue in another browser running the same Sun Java would help work out he cause.
  9. Shields up the rest of your family is attempting to hack you!!
  10. Only the Viewer is installed so that is impossible ;) Have you not heard of Windows Firewall? It works wonders... I know... I'm THAT intelligent 8)
  11. I was at work... Maybe I was drunk from working too hard! Workaholic
  12. I'm not sure, maybe I was wrong.
  13. Restart your computer and try going into Safe Mode again incase it has frozen, it should be pretty fast. Let us know what happens.
  14. Yup, after all the mumbo jumbo it should start up in a relatively normaly state. Can you tell us what happened?
  15. Yeah, just tap F8 continuously from startup until the menu's appear, should be able to get it even after a couple of tries :) I guess from what your saying there is little indication of the problem. Sounds like some serious OS corruption if it's showing those symptoms. Starting up in Safe Mode will provide us with a little more information for finding out the issue and solution.
  16. I did lose some marbles once :( It was a very sad day.
  17. Since your getting far as the Windows loading screen I'm going to guess for now this isn't a hardware issue. Could you please test to see if you can start your computer up in Safe Mode? When you turn your computer on, tap the F8 key while it's loading up until you see options you can select to load up in Safe Mode, choose the default Safe Mode option and see if it works. If this fails then perhaps it is a hardware issue. But can you give any more information about when it stops loading and any error messages/text you see?
  18. Yes, you no longer require Anti-virus software, all the viruses went away.
  19. Welcome to the year 2005. Where Anti-software is no longer needed!! Hmm now I just have to hope I don't get a virus lol.
  20. I agree that I find Internet Explorer to be slow some times. I remember running a test between IE/Firefox/Opera and you could definately tell the difference between IE and the others. Meh, I just didn't like Firefox and Opera enough to want to change, but I do like alot of their features. I just decided to make do with Internet Explorer since it's just there, and it works. Maybe when Google finally make a browser it will be l33t and simple :)
  21. Huh? I have found IE to be more of a hog than FF.
  22. Meh I use a pretty default Microsoft opical mouse :?
