  1. I agree. PS: No sarcasm from me though. :? I prefer Firefox because of its extensions, but yes, IE is a good browser - if configured properly. The problem is that not everyone knows how to do this, and you two (Chris and Sharper, seeing as I'm quite sure you both know perfectly well how to secure IE properly) are outnumbered by a vast amount of people who don't know that. Take a look at the number of 'I got hacked' posts in RS general if you don't believe me ;) Pwnt, IE r now not teh leetz0r! But in all seriousness, I love your explaination.... Firefox is for newbies
  2. Download Internet Explorer, thats a great browser 8)
  3. Run HiJackThis and fix the following entries: R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing O20 - Winlogon Notify: Jesus - Jesus.dll (file missing) Then restart and see how your computer is then.
  4. Linux is a superior operating system, it does not need mere inhuman actions such as configuration like lesser operating systems!
  5. Please post a screenshot of the Application or System Event Log error it produces. To find the Event Logs right click on your My Computer icon and choose Manage from the options. Expand the Event Logs menu and select the Application Log (it almost might be in the System Log). There should be a red error message that appears one of the the log entries. If you can remember the time the last one occured it might be easier. Take a SS of the error and post it please. If you cannot find it or are getting confused then you can right click on the Application Log (and System Log) and choose Save As. This will save a .evt file. Once you do this, email me both the Application and System event logs. If any of these instructions confuse you please feel free to message me on MSN to discuss.
  6. He means that when you run DOS (Through Command Prompt) you type "cd.." and press enter to go down the level of folders. Alternatively you can type "c:" to jump directly to the C:\ drive root.

  8. I don't get Rap but I like your voice, it's not default and plain. Keep it up. Just some advice try to make some more unique music to go with your tracks. You sound like your trying stuff out but it's just so generic when it comes to Rap. Thats my professional music opinion :)
  9. Any DivX, Xvid codecs could effect it.
  10. Are you running Linux? I hear rumors it is a superior operating system and can operate faster than even a Windows computer! Could be one cause for your uber fast clock.
  11. I think that's normally related to video codecs. Please uninstall any codec's you have installed then try Runescape again. If this works then go online and download some updated codecs. Let me know if this doesn't work.
  12. School is for learning, not playing! You shouldn't be on runescape while at scho... [cabbage] got to go my boss is back.
  13. Hmm I dunno, I added 32mb more ram into my old ibm computer once and it totally died :( IT GOT THE SHAKES I TELL YOU!
  14. Why uninstall McAfee just to download and install AVG Antivirus for one scan then remove it?
  15. I also reccommend a Dell Notebook, I've had one for for about a year now and am very pleased with it.
  16. For starters you need to download LSPFix and remove the newdotnet dll. Search google for LSPFix and you will get the main website to download it from.
  17. Try this in Internet Explorer just to test something please. In Internet Options under the Advanced tab, tick on the option Show image download placeholders option. Then test the thumbnails again the guys have posted above, let me know if you can see the placeholders or not.
  18. Turning off System Restore can be done outside Safemode. When you turn it off it wipes all old restore points so if there are infected files they will be deleted.
  19. *gasp* Heya Sharper :) Long time no see. I think I've posted before on this thread. In case I haven't done so, I prefer Firefox, customised to near-death. *shrug* To each their own. To each their own :) <3 IE
  20. Ok. Still going ok today? Your log looked ok, could just be your OS is running sluggish.
  21. I was a very well known merchant about the time you were hitting your late 94-99hp days Eq T. I didn't start very early in 2001 and missed alot of the original PKing. But I do remember talking with you alot in early 2002, you were friendly and even showed me around the wilderness when I was only a low level. Was probably Purity or Robin that introduced you. Good to see there are still some old players around taking an interest.
