I do not think slayer dart or zammy flames will be good for you. Get chaos gauntlets and do fire bolt. It is by far cheap, and it works. I used it at lvl 70 and I did me fine with no problems. and if your collecting your own fires you be fine, just grab an air staff and buy a few hundred (or thousand?) chaos.

Blah, I'm not surprised. and I wouldn't be shocked if it needed an attack level, because the stats are pretty good. +20 stab +29 slash & +31 str seems too good to be true for a 1 handed weapon with no attack req, seeing as iron scimmy offers +10 slash and +9 str.

I'm in the process of training an obby mauler... And I was planning on getting mith gloves on the little guy... Well, obby maulers are known to use lots of uncommonly used weapons (ones that need 1 attack), like silverlight, slayer staff, machete, etc... And I noticed with mith gloves, I can get a skewer. I like it's stats, very good if it's 1 attack, but I'm unsure if it needs a level or not to wield. no items database mentions ones, but on runehq's equipment bonus calculator, it is grouped in the 30-59 req group. Does anyone know the reqs the skewer needs to use aside from rfd prequests?

people call each other safers to get the person to feel they are eating too much, a tactic that often results in them either winning, or using it as an excuse to run from the fight. pures try to be bigshots sometimes and take down full rune.. but when the matter of the fact being, they will complain you are wearing it. basically its them saying, "dang that armour is making me lose, take it off so It can be an even fight, except you get to risk 200k and I 1 item protect my scimmy so you get monks"

pretty much that's how it was. Ranarrs went up to 7k-8k ea though. apparently it's the buyer thats gyping people. instead of the person SELLING the unid herbs (who can potentially know what they are selling). Anyone ever heard of ranarr scimmers? Yeah. So before you say it's the buyer of unid herbs hurting the economy- you should take in to consideration this update hurts people selling bad herbs just as much as good herbs. So for those collectors that sell herbs and collected 100 unids and only 3-4 where ranarr... well it looks like they aren't scoring off even now are they? And as the buyer I do not mind the occasional ranarr scimming, even though I don't make as much money, I still get experience from the rest. I just miss unids. I was once a seller myself. Back before I had high enough herblore to make potions. I was completely at ease with selling unids. I had some invos my buyer liked. and some invos where my buyer was like "ehhh". I eventually got my herblore up so I could make my own potions. and thats when I started buying unids. I can easily go to chaos druids and collect an inventory of herbs, wether or not I have time for it is up to me, and that's why I purchased herbs and sold potions. You have 4 people in the scenario. person one is a collecter that sells all his unids for 1k ea. person two is the one who person one sells all his unids to, person two sorts out the unids, and sells ranarr+ for a profit. person three buys from person two. Person three uses what herbs he can in potions, and then sells the herbs identified. person four buys the individual identified herbs from person three. he makes the potions, and sells them, he pays more for the herbs, but there is no risk, or long process from sorting them out. now person 2 and 3 are gone. person 1 is stuck with his gaums marrens and tarros.

oh, and as for powerleveling and not breaking even.. ever heard of coal trucks? ever heard of buying raw lobs 240ea and selling in pk worlds 260ea? all powerleveling + profit needs, is an appropriate level to accommodate it. or what about hunter? powerlevel that and you make nice money.

I've lagged out at cyclops and lost 5m worth of items. as well as a fighter torso and my rune defenders.

Potential house layout? It's better to have your chapel right beside the entrance and portals / glory.

Hello, Im chokexx, I've been playing runescape since June 2006. This was my first account, and I have 2 other accounts I use frequently; m4ge ab0rt x (my mage pure), and I r gewd pk (My obby mauler). So you might ask "Hey wait, if that was your first account; How can you be a pure?" Well... It's simple. I learned how to pk before I learned out to train defence. (slash/stab always sounded better than defensive) :lol: l0l :lol: So after having no defense for a while I decided I was getting hit too much, so I decided to become a rune pure a looooongggggg time ago (before it was cool haha) I did dragon slayer, and got a bit more def exp, and had these stats when I first became a rune pure. Now they are this (Combat 86) [hide=Who am I?] In real life I am a 17 year old guy. That is me in my avatar. Yes I (had) a mohawk Now I just have dreads. I live in Tampa Florida, and I am starting a job at hot topic in october. I live with my mother, step-dad, and sister. I will try to update my blog/be on rs as much as possible... So my new goal is... * Get 60 slayer! :o I'll get 60 slayer so I can have access to aberrant specters, which drop herbs like crazy. With these herbs I will make tons of pots. :| * Next, I will spend a few days fishing 700 sharks. yikes. * Then what I do, is spend a day or two, making money (my secret), and I'm buying 5k chaos. (Fire giants from 88-90 str should definatly leave me with lots of fire runes). * Then... I BARROWS LIKE CRAZY. I personally like to use fire bolt with chaos gauntlets because I think it's very cost effective, and less risky, but since I will have 60 slayer, the option of slayer dart is available if I want to mix things up. * Once I raise 10m+, Im staking for the next few days. * When I get 25m+, Im ready to go for 94 mage. * In the in-between-time/boredom-time I will work on the 32 questpoints for barrows gloves. This also means I need to do dream mentor, lunar diplomacy, and finishing legends. Lunar diplomacy will probably be done before I start training slayer... And then dream mentor if Im still up for questing. So guess what. I should have decent stats and equipment now. I got my torso, my zerker helm, my defender, my whip, my climber/rune boots, my rune legs... but wait... I'm missing something? FIRECAPE!!!!!!!!!! * Now, I've already made one attempt at this... And the first time it didn't turn out so well... My first attempt ended on wave 51, because blood / ice bursting didn't heal me very much at all. My next attempt will be the same equipment, except rune legs & archer helmet. 800 purple sweets 20 super restores. 6 sara brews 1 crystal bow in inventory * After I get my fire cape. It's pking/moneymaking/staking/training combat from here on out! I will have all of my big goals completed, and now get to focus on my desired items. They are? Godsword with bandos & armadyl hilts. Santa Fury Beserker ring Red mask Thats it Perhaps one day I will become a barrows pure, then I must complete ALL the quests... and get 70 prayer for piety I also enjoy the fight caves, castle wars(if Im getting 94 mage of course Im going to cw haha), dueling of course, Monster hunting (one day I hope to go god wars boss killing, Daggonith king hunting, chaos elemental killing, & kalphite queen hunting more often). Well, prices going up are only good until you need to buy herbs. This is one of the factors that made me decide I'm going to get 60 slayer for specters. All the herbs I get from them should make it worth while.. But according to jagex it's to prevent scammers. When right on top of the herblore forum, there was a guide to making your own antiscam. -.-'

When I camp there I use around 2-3 pots per go. But then again I'm only 45 def and 52 prayer haha.

For the last time I am not ripping anyone off. One of the people that used to sell for me is a player moderator, I'm obviously going to get away with ripping a pmod off, right? they can go to the bloody herb identifier in nardah like I did when I was a low level herbalist. Or I will happily identify & return their herbs for experience. You blindly assume anyone that buys unidentified herbs is someone who takes advantage of someone who is a lower level. I am a zerker pure. If you knew what that was you'd know they need skills to be perfected. 175qp requires quite a few quests, which in turn requires skills. Being a pure is sacrificing one skill to raise another, not necessarily all of them. But this has nothing to do with skill totals, it has to do with the skill of herblore.

You are seriously the biggest cry baby. Get over it, you cant rip noobs off anymore, go collect your herbs. Playing internet hard [wagon] gets you no where. If you take the time to read, instead of whine about people getting ripped off, you'd see this... You obviously know little of the skill, so perhaps you should learn before you run your mouth. Your the reason I've made this rant. People that are narrow minded, and stereotype scammers with herbalists that don't like the rising prices of herbs on the market. No one is getting "ripped off" because they are choosing to sell their herbs, for the price specified. I don't sell my ranarrs(I make them into ppots), so therefore I'm not the person that is selling gaums stating they are ranarrs.

yeah unid herbs from farming would have been nice =) wouldn't have taken me so long to get unid torstol. but with over 10k people complaining about the pc update... and then jagex STILL not doing anything... Im pretty sure jagex isnt going to change herblore because a few people dispise the update. Unless this update was to give people time to figure which herbs are which then change it back (I hope, but very very doubtful) :pray:

I dont mind when the combat system gets altared. I am a meleer (and a little of a mage), so I actually look forward to combat updates. magic needs new spells horribly. and as for the whole dark bow thing Im glad. rangers are finally worth killing, and that bow isnt as great as people think. the only thing in general I dont like for any skills is when they slow experiance down. (that does not mean pc, I was never a pc product to begin with)

first off. NO ONE IS SCAMMING OR GYPING ANYONE. If someone wants to sell their unids it's their choice. If anything the buyer stands a better chance of getting gyped, unless the antiscam is in proper use. Basically you are saying exactly what this topic is about... "you cant gyp anyone out of herbs anymore" Your not gyping anyone from anything, you are making a business transaction for a seller. about 80% of the people in edgeville dungeon chaos druids are getting unids to sell. I collected about 300 herbs a day. it's not about me being lazy... Its about me wanting to train the skill and make money at the same time. Is that not what fletching is all about? Or any combat stats? the only plus side of this update is that herbs might go up. So if you invested in thousands and thousand of herbs, and lots of lots of pots, you gain something out of this. But after that you have to pay more for supplies.
