I wouldn't go so far as to say tobacco causes more harm than E. I know some people that are straight up E-Tarded from rolling too much. Although it probably is true that it's less physically harming (lungs, mouth, etc.).

My argument was not saying that people need to try cigarettes before they can judge whether or not they are unhealthy for you. What I was trying to point out is that children that come out of their health classes with a preconceived notion about what cigarettes are/will do to you are the ones that post strongly in this thread claiming cigarettes are the worst thing known to man instead of what they really are: a way to relieve stress and anxiety. There are plenty of things in the world that people consume on a daily basis that contribute to mass death (such as large quantities of food), but health teachers pound it into kids' heads that cigarettes are the worst thing you could do. I never claimed what your argument was challenging.

I'm not putting up a wall or being defensive. If you knew anything about counterarguments, you would know that they have to be VALID and any such argument which contains a fallacy of logical reasoning is INVALID. Since your argument commits the fallacy of Slippery Slope Reasoning, it cannot be addressed as a valid argument. Are you that dense? Jesus... EDIT: Or maybe the fact that you threw in a ninja edit to try to cover yourself. Nice.

A counterargument isn't a counterargument if it commits the fallacy of Slippery Slope. It makes it invalid.

The analogy I was making was not towards illegal street drugs, rather legal tobacco cigarettes. But it's okay, you can go ahead and slippery slope that.

You skipped the best songs(s) Wings for Marie (Pt 1) and 10,000 Days (Wings Pt 2) I can't say I got into those as much as the other songs on that album. There just doesn't seem like any coherent "point" to them. I think it was just an attempt to write some songs about his Mother. How she was so devoted to her faith that she was going to heaven and all the half assed Christians that she went to church with were not going to heaven. I also think he was trying to say that when people die they will be judged according to their own beliefs rather than a set of beliefs applied to everyone. I.e. Christians will be judged by their doctrine, Muslims by theirs, and so on. At least that's what I got out of it.
