  1. I'm just saying. Don't know who he is or what type of user he is. I'm just asking, even if you are a playboy girl, you ought to interested in your future if you are American (and globally as well). I am interested in politics. What I heard was rambling. He may have made real points later, but this was a political gesture, not an actual argument. Also, if this is the Senate, I'm pretty sure he has no audience (or a small one) in the chambers. Regardless, it's a shameful tactic and I think it shouldn't be encouraged, no matter what the topic. Look at it this way: If someone got up there and preached about how we should hang anyone who doesn't go to a Christian church once a week for seven hours, you would say it's a waste of government time. He can't seriously have so much to say that he can't clear up his points in an hour. Sure, it takes effort, especially for an old man, but should he really be wasting effort on it? No one would pay attention to his speech if it were so short, sad thing is I doubt anyone will anyways
  2. Or he should have kept talking until he died of exhaustion. No way people would have been able to ignore it then
  3. God damn, he better still be talking when I get back in an hour!
  4. A 69 year old man has not only filibustered consistently for 8 hours without food or bathroom breaks - he has done so without sitting down.
  5. anyone who takes Anonymous seriously is lulz worthy. Or who thinks NYT is anything but a gov't mouth, although that's why it's funny that they say they're becoming mature
  6. Haha, whenever someone calls for it to be adjourned I think. Then it continues from 10:30 AM tomorrow  Also
  7. Yeah, that's totally what DDoS attacks are. Professor of informatics at the university of Oslo called it just that two days ago. Is is pretty much a virtual sit in. Anyway, why the hell is Anon getting so much coverage? BACK TO THE ACTUAL WIKILEAKS
  8. From his video speech
  9. Bernie Sanders has been reaming out the government (FOR OVER SEVEN HOURS) because of Obama's plan to give tax breaks to the rich, it's absolutely amazing to watch watch live streaming http://www.c-span.org/Watch/C-SPAN2.aspx Also, he went after lobbyists, comcast, CEOs, [bleep]ing everyone
  10. Actually they're fighting against censorship. Fighting against censorship by basically censoring their targets. It's basically an internet sit in/protest

In a prophetic article on Monday he predicted the kind of argument repressive regimes would use following the US's approach to WikiLeaks. quote:

  13. This was mentioned like last week. Jesus christ, he's not an attention [bleep], he's making sure that the releases get out slowly so that they all get the attention they deserve and not just glossed over. Pretty hard to ignore stuff when it's coming out everyday vs when 250, 000 cables are released all at once. Gives the media time to pick which ones they want to report on too. Hurp a durp durp
  14. HAHAHA Putin owns http://in.reuters.com/article/idINIndia-53463620101209 e: WikiLeaks: France adds to US pressure to ban website • Minister warns of consequences for companies helping keep WikiLeaks online • US diplomatic cables released by WikiLeaks are hosted by French firm http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2010/dec/03/wikileaks-france-ban-website
  15. Posts from another forum I frequent seems more than reasonable, especially considering the regimes the u.s. sells weapons to but wait! http://wikileaks.ch/cable/2005/04/05MADRID1585.html yes, venezuela, notorious for wreaking destabilization and chaos throughout latin america despite america's every effort to heal fissures and promote democracy.... jesus [bleep]ing christ this world is complete [bleep]ing [cabbage] ahahahahahahahhhhhaaaahahhahahaha anyway, let's wrap this up by hearing from the u.s.'s [bleep] in the area, president uribe of colombia, thoughts on chavez: http://wikileaks.ch/cable/2005/08/05BOGOTA7402.html heh finally, a quick detour to spain about evo morales while we're on the subject http://wikileaks.ch/cable/2006/01/06MADRID76.html
  16. You're like the USG, anyone against you is a terrorist. ANYWAY, info dump time AVAAZ has a petition with nearly 300,000 signatures on it so far for stopping the crackdown http://avaaz.org/en/wikileaks_petition/?fpla Happy stuff http://news.sky.com/skynews/Article/201009115850853 Pakistan creating fake cables http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2010/dec/09/pakistani-newspaper-fake-leaks-india Good news Some thoughts on the US and wiki http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2010/12/wikileaks-the-web-and-the-need-to-rethink-the-espionage-act/67664/ a humorous rap video lol http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NXbCwq4ewBU Some interesting and funny stuff from Russia http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2010/dec/09/julian-assange-nobel-peace-prize https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2010/12/information-antidote-fear-wikileaks-law-and-you ^ Would be interesting if it would load, I suspect. It's about how successful a prosecution of Wikileaks would be http://ca.news.yahoo.com/bolivias-vice-president-posts-wikileaks-cables-official-website.html Good live updates http://www.guardian.co.uk/news/blog/2010/dec/09/wikileaks-us-embassy-cables-live-updates Featuring an appearance from the real Assange at the end
  17. http://www.forbes.com/feeds/ap/2010/12/09/technology-financials-wikileaks_8192332.html?boxes=Homepagebusinessnews As for the whole terrorism talk, terrorism is a fairly loose term to be throwing around. I don't think Anon is a terrorist group, and the only difference between them and the USG is that the USG can do whatever the hell they want. They're trying to shut down sites that discuss the whole thing, shut down wikileaks website, etc.
  18. Well the documents so far have been far more damaging for the US Gov than the Russians, so it seems like they're doing it to piss off the Americans. It's pretty hilarious too As for the trial, the British judge gave the prosecutors until next week to present evidence relating to the case and his extradition, if they can't provide sufficient evidence he'll be released.
  19. Those documents would have been released regardless, he merely pushed up the date they were released From the Guardian Look out for the full story later. ALSO ONE OF THE RAPE ACCUSERS IS NOT COOPERATING/FLED THE COUNTRY http://www.businessinsider.com/anna-ardin-stops-cooperating-in-assange-prosecution-2010-12
  20. Can you prove that? Because I'd like to see your proof.
