I don't see how I was wrong. I never said having it abolished would decrease crime. Fact still stands, having capital punishment does not decrease homicide. US & Canada have similar homicide rates. So if the death penalty were actually effective, US would have less homicide in death penalty states. Again, how was what I said wrong? Your map doesn't show that death penalty = effective deterrent, which is what I was arguing against e: Also I was trying to make the point that the vast majority of first world countries are against death penalty.

And you have made how many valid points. hmmmm...o  All my valid points that I felt needed to be said were posted in my first post. The fact that you probably didn't know any of them is pretty telling.

You know next to nothing/did zero research on your own topic. You need to leave for a while and educate yourself

Are you trolling or just incredibly stupid? Wow, yeah that came out really wrong. What i meant to say was: South Africa was a county with problem, like any other country. We had crime, yes. We managed to limit this crime though, using the death penalty. Soon as the death penalty was taken away our crime rates increased, a lot. And it kept on increasing. So clearly the death penalty did work, somehow. Now, the essay was based on that. It was based on how the crime rate then compares to the crime rate now. And by bringing it back there is hope that we might be able to decrease the crime rate again. So basically it would be useless for me to write about the death penalty in the USA or the Middle East and how the death penalty costs more money in the USA and how it increases violence in the Middle East, when in reality those two factors have nothing to do with what the death penalty does for South Africa. Is that a bit better? :\ No, I was talking generally. Are you trolling or just really stupid?

  6. If by mule, you mean another account you own, then that is considered multiple logging, and is against the rules. Such rule-breakings are frowned upon on this forum. Thanks for the back seat modding. Some people don't like grinding skills and some people don't like pking. Like taste in music. Shocking, I know.

No offense but for a 12000 word essay, you didn't do a very good job researching

If so (and i'm not saying you are wrong), howcome countries that still follow through with some sort of death penalty often have the lowest crime rates? And i mean crimes from petty theft to large scale fraud/murder? Also, i for one can say that South Africa had a much lower crime rate when we still had the Death Penalty. Y_Guy is 100% right. Death penalty has never ever been a proven deterrent, it costs tons of money in appeals like another poster mentioned (the fact that you didn't know this tells me you didn't research it very well), and it can even possibly cause the public to act MORE violent after an execution (though I've just started reading about that). IIRC, USA is on of few first world countries with the death penalty? Also, you say that other countries with the death penalty have lower crime rates. Lower than who? What type of crime? How come murder rates aren't impacted at all by having a death penalty, and why do some states that have the death penalty have HIGHER rates of homicide than their neighboring states that don't have the death penalty? blue: Abolished for all crimes green: Abolished for crimes not committed in exceptional circumstances (such as crimes committed in time of war) orange: Abolished in practice pink: Legal form of punishment for certain offenses All the death penalty achieves is retribution that people think for some reason needs to happen

Defence force building? Also, my gym is staffed by a bunch of 60 year old women who know jack [cabbage] about lifting. Stop making excuses, start with light weight and try to get the form right before you move on to the heavy weight. Don't trust personal trainers or gym staff either
  10. Saying it will cause even more inflation isn't an opinion.
  11. Never had that problem with wests or graveyard though. Now graveyard is gone and west is PACKED at all times, PLUS cannons
  12. Fish don't drown. Clearly you didn't read the article. Put the pieces together man!
  13. It's probably just like anything else. If someone gave you construction/electric/car/etc advice, it's cool. Just make sure you double check what they tell you, and if you want to pay them/they ask to be paid that's cool too. If they claim they're a registered electrician (or dietitian) when they're not and charging people for their services under the assumption that they ARE registered/certified/what ever, then that's illegal. Also, my sister is in university right now to become a dietitian
  14. I like your avatar
  15. Well I'm not too sure. My guess would be as long as they aren't claiming to have some sort of certification/credentials they don't have, they're fine. What exactly prompted this? Friend got tricked into paying some moron or something? Maybe there'd be a general law or by-laws relating to needing certain certifications or something, but who knows.
  16. Thousands of birds flew into hail, the hail then fell into the river, melted, and drowned the fish. Mystery solved
  17. I'm not sure what you mean. Do you mean someone making people pay them to give nutritional advice under the assumption that they're trained or something? Do you mean over the internet? Do you mean the people who work at gyms? What do you mean by illegal? As in suing, as in charges, as in a fine, what?
  18. To whoever was worried about green dragonhide: green d'hide has been steady at 1.7k ea for the past, what, 5 years? Until recently anyway. They won't change much
  19. Old school style clan? What's the difference from todays clans compared to old school? Clan wars in the actual wild? I don't know if you've noticed but, there are clans that actually fight in the current wildy against each other? And lots fight in the Clan Wars arena, a good amount of the ones in the wild are PKRi's

Well following the trend of topics in this forum, the OP came asking for advice and will never post here again.

  22. Last I checked you couldn't distinguish revs from other mobs on the minimap. It's not hard, you big babies: You see a white dot on the minimap, you run in the other direction. Oh no! You told them the secret to getting away from pkers! Common sense! WHY DID YOU TELL THEM?!
  23. Ignorant? Pkers are less of a threat than revs. All you need is teleport/pray. Really, how hard is it people? If you die to a pker then you shouldn't even be in the wild to start with

EVERYONE has abs below the fat. This might be interesting for you to read Tim. Everyone has little baby abs below the fat.
  25. Couple good points. The green dragon thing is a reason I don't want the old wildy to come back. Praying on players who aren't geared to fight other players, who don't want to fight other players, shouldn't have to fight other players. Green dragons being in the wild doesn't mean they want to fight other players, it means they want to make some money without going into the CT. And I'm in the wild slaying green dragons because I want fast cash, not have to wait for someone lower leveled to kill the dragons I want to kill. The wild is SUPPOSED to be dangerous, if you want the riches that await in the wilderness, be prepared to fight for them. If not, stay out. Simple. All are in the wild because they have such great benefits. If you want access to them, you have to take some risk. If you're too scared, stay away Also, as someone who did TONS of green dragons slaying, abyss rcing, and treasure trails in the wilderness with 3 items, anyone who dies is either not paying enough attention or isn't too bright
