EP
The way I've heard it works is that the drops are based on a tier system, so the higher the tier, the better the items. EP increases your chance of the random items being higher tier

How To Convince My Parents?
Why do you NEED to go see it at midnight? You likely won't even get tickets unless you line up 2 hours in advance

The ring of wealth is a LIE!
Case closed? All he said is "it works", well duh, it's called the ring of wealth. We want to know HOW it works

What Makes a Swear, a Swear?
And once again OT proves to me it's populated by asshats. You managed to bring religion into a post that had nothing to do with it. Same can be found in just about every thread. It was a ligament statement. The word profanity comes from profane, which means basically not of the church, leading to the deduction that it has something to do with the church. So don't give me that [cabbage] about being an [wagon] when you don't bother looking into the subject. Thanks. Dizzle check the link I posted. Lots of swear words can be traced back to old old words

What Makes a Swear, a Swear?
Here's a cool link I found once that goes over possible origins of the words http://sanityfound.wordpress.com/2008/0 ... ear-words/

Do you think animals are consciously aware they are living?
The general consensus is that tests like the red dot test are pretty good ways of determining self awareness, and I have a lot of confidence in them

Do you think animals are consciously aware they are living?
As in an invisible kind of fence of rat poison? Wow, what a law suit waiting to happen

Do you think animals are consciously aware they are living?
That you equate dogs on the same level as humans scares me. I'm trying to say that it was stupid of the guy to kill the dog when he could have just spoke to the owners. And he killed the dog because it was drinking water just barely on his property? Doesn't sound like a very safe guy

Do you think animals are consciously aware they are living?
Dogs aren't humans, they are property. Kid is still trespassing, I'm gunna blow him away I guess

Do you think animals are consciously aware they are living?
It's not his job to keep the dog off, it is the dog owners. K so next time the neighbours let their kid walk on my lawn I'm blowing the little buggers head off instead of talking to the parents.

Do you think animals are consciously aware they are living?
The dogs were on his property? He should have every right to do what is necessary to keep them off. That people sent him letters and complained enough to the point he had to move is the part that troubles me. Poisoning a dog who is drinking water off your property isn't the way a rational person would go about keeping the dog off. I hope that story follows him wherever he goes

Do you think animals are consciously aware they are living?
wouldnt that be a slow and painfull death and not rapidly? and wtf didnt you take it to the vets if you knew it was dying and it was a WEEK LONG If you know anything about rat poisoning, you'd know the only way to fix it would be a complete blood transfusion. We would have had to have her taken to the University of Minnesota's Animal Clinic and pay thousands of dollars. We didn't know that it was poison until after she died. We just knew she was dying because her back leg started to swell up and she couldn't move very well. Do you really think that we would just let our dog sit in agony and do nothing? Her back leg was swollen and she couldn't move well. That alone should have been reason to take her to the vet, if i read it right (as in you noticed her leg for a week before she died and she didn't see the vet before she died). In that case, should have taken her to the vet, found out it was poison, either decided to pay for the treatment or put her down. All this doesn't really matter though because what is done is done What I am more interested in is did you guys go after the neighbour at all? If it were my dog and I took him to the vet, I would get as much evidence I could and sue the hell out of that bastard. If he left any evidence that is.

The Hangover: AMAZING comedy
If by stupid you mean Will Ferrel kind of unfunny stupid humor, then you are completely wrong. I LOVED this movie, it's at a 80 (was at around 95% a while ago) on rotten tomatoes which is pretty damn good and it's getting a lot of good reviews. LOVED it. re-TARD

I am not PETA, I despise PETA. I treat my dog like a dog, my dog eats dog food off the floor and drinks from a water dish. Putting clothes on animals is [bleep]ing stupid. He did bathe once a day because of jumping in mud puddles at the dog park but they have since dried up. You bought a dog, you have to take care of it and not just throw it by the wayside and deal with it when it's convenient for you. A dog is a living thing that is susceptible to weather conditions, and an average size yard in a city isn't going to cut it's exercise need.

Someone posted a link about marijuana related car injuries. http://www.livescience.com/technology/0 ... anger.html Clearly the only logical thing would be to make cell phones illegal all together!

I repeat myself because we keep going in circles and people do seem to realize that just because they are dogs does not mean that they should be left outside 24/7, because they are animals and that certainly means they are not vulnerable to heat stroke, sun burn, hypothermia, need to be with their family, etc! Oh no, not at all!

It wipes it's [wagon] on the carpet. Hair gets everywhere. It steps in it's own [cabbage] then walks on carpet. It smells. When visitors come over it annoys them. Ask the vet WHY it wipes it's [wagon] on the carpet. Could be worms. Hair gets everywhere? Groom him, get his hair cut, or get one of those metal brushes that take all the loose hair out It steps in it's own [cabbage]? Do you let it [cabbage] in the house? It shouldn't be doing this, maybe you just don't clean the feces out of your backyard enough There are things you can do to stop it "smelling", putting it inside is a good start Annoys visitors? Are you kidding me? Dogs gets excited, dogs like people. If it's really THAT big of a hassle, put him in the basement while company is over or you know, TRAIN YOUR dog how to lay down, calm down, sit, stay, no barking, etc. You are really really lazy and have no good reasons to leave your dog out. If those are the reasons then you should have never gotten a dog. If you didn't want shedding why did you get a shedding dog? 1. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA 2. Living in it won't increase their resistance. No matter how long they live outside, if their body gets hotter or colder than a certain temperature they are either going to heat stroke or hypothermia. This is just stupid. And why would you NEED a dog that has resistance to heat and cold if this were? 3. This one is just saying that you are too damn lazy to train the dog. They have to live outside because you are lazy. Awesome. Free to sit in the same space every single day and night with no dogs or humans to stay with them, awesome. No exercise outside the fence. Awesome. Not training them anyway is just stupid, what if they dig and find a wire, chew it, and screw something in your house up? Damn, those are some lazy lazy excuses

There is a difference between being forced to stay outside in the sun and being in an air conditioned house and sitting in the less intense sun beam with none of the humidity or hot air I still don't get how you are saying it is a bad example. It is HOT out, are you telling me that dogs are ok with being hot? Because when it is 30 C outside and I take my dog to the park for a short time, all the dogs are sluggishly walking around or laying in the shade trying to get out of the sun. Theft can't be controlled? I like how dog theft only happens when you aren't there to do anything about it but fires only happen when you are there... If you are really gonna make dog theft seem more hazardous than house fires then that speaks for how biased you are. Not a very good idea when you practically having no one agreeing with you on this, bud. No theft can't be controlled when you leave your dog out and at all times, including when you are not home and when you are sleeping. I never said it is more hazardous than house fires, but honestly, being inside and risking a one in a billion chance at a house fire (which if you aren't a moron should never happen) than being outside all the time. And I know no one is agreeing with me, but that's because no one here has ever really given it any thought beyond they are dogs therefore they will be happy outside no matter what, because they are animals. Still, what is a good reason to leave a dog outside? And can that be achieved inside?

There really aren't any cons if you vaporize. If you don't, then it's as bad/less bad/more bad than smoking, yet smoking is legal?

Bird Problems.
It's also a risk to keep them inside because of house fires. Generally speaking, house fires don't happen often enough to be considered a credible threat to the dog. Although, around here, dog theft isn't a problem, either. Fair enough, but there are still all the risks associated with heat and cold and sun. Still, no one has been able to come up with a GOOD reason to keep a dog outside yet

Bird Problems.
It's also a risk to keep them inside because of house fires. A risk that can be controlled. And if there's a house fire it's likely that I will be home, then how hard is it to grab my dog and walk out the door? As opposed to having someone just walk up, take your dog, and walk away while you are not home or sleeping edit: And if there was a fire, chances are that the flames are going to go onto the flammable grass anyway

How is it a horrible example? I am saying nothing likes being incredibly hot, and if you think the dog does then just go out and see what it's like. We don't like the taste of dog food, dogs do, it is healthier for dogs than steak, so we give them dog food Dogs can eat off the floor because they have more bacteria in their body that protects them against different things that can be found on the floor Dogs do not = humans, I know. But dogs are not self aware, they do however have instincts and sensations. Heat is heat no matter what animal you are, and excessive heat is not fun.

Unless you are letting them in ever night, then you are not letting them in enough. call your vet, ask general questions about forcing a dog to live outside. Ask about cold winter, hot summer, diet during winter, behavior, and pack mentality. What fallacie? There is a difference from huskys you find at pet stores and rescues and shelters and the ones bred and raised in Alaska for the purpose of being sled dogs. Sled dogs also have more than 5 other dogs to huddle up with when on sled expeditions, that is if they don't get some sort of shelter brought with them. When not sledding and at home, I highly doubt they are left outside, and at the very minimum have heated shelters. Dirty water doesn't just look dirty. If I took a leak in your pool you would never know it. Know what the difference between your pool and a human in ground pool is? Heating and cooling in the pools (and chemicals that keep it relatively clean). Know what's better than a pool? A house with AC. I also have a kiddy pool for my dog. It is still a risk though, why would you continue taking this risk when you could just let him inside? Unless your backyard is some monstrous fenced in yard then I doubt it's enough. Walking and running around a yard every now and then isn't enough exercise. The elements are also a problem. Everything I've said so far, it's like you're getting me to repeat everything I've already said. Working dogs are awesome. Dogs like border collies that are bred to herd love to herd. It's great exercise for them and they love doing it, and they get to spend all day with their owner. Your dogs aren't afraid of the dark, oh my, I guess that makes it ok then! Those are all reasons not to get a dog in the first place. You got a dog, take care of it, that means providing adequate shelter, socialization, stimulation, and exercise. Not just throwing them outside and going to visit when it is convenient. Your dog is no smarter than any other dog, and I would assume stupider do to the lack of exercise, obedience, training, and mental stimulation 86 FahrenheitI converted all by myself. Geez I'm so stupid. is "[bleep] hot". Seriously? Add another 5 of your degrees to that thirty and that's how hot it is supposed to get next week. I'm from Manitoba, it gets down to -40/-50 during the winter and usually only up to 30 or 40 C during the summer. Regardless, it is damn hot for anything.

Didn't my post completely go over this? You can't compare what a dog likes/dislikes to what a person likes/dislikes. Really, we're just gonna go in circles if you keep this up. Tell me how in the hell a dog would ENJOY being in 30+ celsius weather wearing a fur coat? Does it like being over heated? Does it like being incredibly hot? No animal would like being over heated, and a human is certainly no exception
