Do Barbarian Assault Mini-Game to obtain "Fighter Torso" It requires 45 defence and is a very popular body armour, providing a much loved +5 strength bonus.

Its very hard with a 10hp character, but I would reccommend 1-50 all through Gnome Stronghold as I can't think of any other course that does not deal damage...

Are the Yews under the flax field closer? Theres like 6-7 Yew Trees there and a small walk away from catherby bank.

Remember to find a safespot otherwise their Fire Breath will get you. ;)

Try doing curses on a different monster. Curses give mage xp and no hp xp at all.

Slayer is probably the best way in my opinion. You train Range, Hitpoints and Slayer. Also almost every assignment the monster will drop charms, which is a great help.
