  1. Dragon Age II: I finished it yesterday. I can definitely see how 'streamlined' it is compared to Origins, but I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing. It got a little tiring at times trying to work out armour/weaponry for 9 party members some times. And they re-use every area about a hundred times, but I still found it fun. Plus I'm fairly sure I got it for free on Origin, so 27 hours of fun for nothing. It's just a shame I couldn't import my save from Origins, and I likely won't be able to import this save to Inquisition when I inevitably get it. Pokemon Y: I have a really bad habit of playing Pokemon games up until the Elite 4 and then getting bored of throwing myself at them until I beat them. So I decided to rectify that and finish this game up, two years after I got to the Elite 4. And I beat them all in one try. So that was neat.
  2. Painkiller, by Judas Priest. DRUMS. One of the songs that inspired me to improve at Rock Band. Now instead of being good at medium, I can nail hard and sometimes expert. Yeah.
  3. Love Will Tear Us Apart, by Joy Division. Another bloody classic.
  4. Don't Stop Believin', by Journey. A bloody classic.
  5. Middle of the Hill, by Josh Pyke. Just my favourite track from a great Aussie folk/indie/thingywhatsit artist. And that second track's payoff was worth the wait.

Miss Hottie 2016? More like lady bait. Sheilas love competitions like that.
  7. It's just occurred to me that The Beatles would have solo albums. I must investigate. The WTF Collective, by Jon Lajoie. Similar in tone to the Beatles, I've always thought this was a classic. Everyone always remembers Show Me Your Genitals, but this is what I remember.
  8. Time Moves Slow, by BADBADNOTGOOD. Interesting album, I can't see myself spinnin' it over and over again, but it's definitely a good one.
  9. Man ASMR is the strangest god damn trend out. I don't get it. The Battle of New Orleans, by Johnny Horton. My mum used to play this CD all the god damn time, so I hated it. Then I came back to it at 18 years old, and I enjoyed it immensely. Funny how things go.
  10. One Piece at a Time, by Johnny Cash. Always gets a smile outta me. Just a silly story that I can't help but love.

A new person bought the place I work at and changed hours around. I'm finding it difficult to adjust to doing 40 hours rather than 55/60 like it was before. I'm legitimately struggling to work less. I'm probably gonna take up more hours at my second job so my mental wellbeing stays where I want it.
  12. Betterman, by John Butler Trio. Truly a struggle to pick the best JBT track. I rate them all.
  13. Pain, by Jimmy Eat World. I know a few Jimmy Eat World songs here and there, and I've never been disappointed.
  14. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3jbdw43yvTY Fire, by Jimi Hendrix. Though I prefer the RHCP version, gotta pay mad respect to the original.

On the other side of that, when I gave up uni and began full-time work, my quality of life increased immensely. Do what makes ya happy, kids.
  16. I remember when my mates and I played Pokemon on emulators. It was actually the first time I'd ever play Pokemon, but that's a tangent. I found out about the speed-up feature, and used it a fair bit. I checked the time played and while I'd played around about five real hours, the game told me I was up in the hundreds or thousands. I've been playing Stardew Valley, and it's amazing. I finished Tearaway and it was amazing. And I finished The Wolf Among Us, and it was amazing. I've been pretty lucky in games recently and found some really good stuff.
  17. Aqualung, by Jethro Tull. This is my thread, so I'm double posting and claiming first post since the great subforum merge of 2016.
  18. Are You Gonna Be My Girl, by Jet. On yas, Jet. You were pretty great for a pretty long while.
  19. I'd haaaaaate more gifs of these toooootally not good looking sheilas. That'd be teeeeeeeeerrible.
  20. Eternal Life, by Jeff Buckley. Pretty much a perfect album.
  21. My life has purpose once again.
  22. Wrong Prayer, by 'Jaydiohead'. I forgot I had this. pretty neat mash-up.
  23. Get Up Offa That Thing, by James Brown. It's a song I guess.
  24. Beijing, by Japanese Cartoon. Strangest side project I've heard. Lupe Fiasco with some sick rap stuff to this.
  25. Nobody Speak, by DJ Shadow and Run the Jewels. Probably the highlight from DJ Shadow's album. Wasn't the most exciting album overall, but I'll give it time.
