Abyss Guide - Oh sweet sweet Abyss. [V2]
Eeeeediot replied to Karolismatul's topic in General Discussion
Super guide mixing good info with humour :) Couple of recommendations: - You linked the Tip.It Abyss map. Perhaps you could include the actual map in the guide as well within image tags for convenience's sake? [img=http://tip.it/runescape/map2/abyss.png] - Link to the Abyss monster bestiary pages that are linked to from that map page? - Link to Abyss part of Runecrafting guide? Good stuff :D -
Yea definetly CSS all the way, try turning off CSS on Tip.It. Practically all the formatting is done via CSS :P

Add this to each img tag: border="0"

I'm pretty vigilant with regards to my PC security, but I downloaded MS AntiSpyware Beta yesterday and done a quick scan which showed some pretty surprising results. My AV is Norton AV 2006 and I have the Sygate Firewall. Additionally, I regularly update and scan with Ad-Aware and Spybot S&D. On a less regular basis, I also use CCleaner. However, the MS Anti Spyware scan results brought up some things which I know wasn't spyware, but also these: Which I removed ofcourse. So my question is - what is your experience with MS Anti-Spyware if any? And secondly, could anyone be so kind enough to quickly look over my HJT log as I'd prefer to be on the safe side :P http://www.alhuda.org.uk/eeeeediot/hijackthis.log Thanks all :D

Are you still with Job Corps? How then are you going to be able to dedicate enough time to being "TET vice leader" as well as this? -
Moving from Site discussion to T&C where it might be more appropriate.

Wa'alaikum As-salams Kirby :) (forums rules require translation: peace be upon you) Yes. That is correct. Forgive me for carrying through on this, but I'm confused. On the one end, you say non-believers can go to heaven. On the other hand you said that for going to heaven, it is a requirement to be a muslim. How do these two play together? Do we have to go to hell first, temporarily, become a muslim and then go to heaven or something? As far as I know, there is the necessity to believe in the five basic pillars of Islam and hence be a Muslim to go to heaven, although the main point is not to do good actions to go there but rather for the fact that they are the right things to do. The original wording in the first post regarding the mountain and escalator analogy was unclear and perhaps gave rise to some confusion. If however, you happen to live in a remote part of the world and never come across Islam during your life time (very unlikely nowadays), then it would not be just for God to send you to Hell and the person is judged differently - I don't much about this though, I just know that there is this exception. As a further point, not all Muslims go to heaven simply because they are Muslims. As kirby said, God judges people based on their inner most thoughts (i.e. intentions motivating their actions). There will even be cases where people will be sent to hell for a certain period of time to serve out their punishment for the sins they have committed and then go to heaven. There will also be people in Hell forever because of the severity of their sins. Hope that clarifys some things Hannibal :)

Purecheese, if possible, could you please just clean any flaming instead of locking this post if you can, thanks :P It'd be nice for this to be kept open. I am a Muslim myself and this looks like an interesting post. I had a quick skim over it and there a few things that I disagree with. If and when I get time, I'll post back with details. I'd be interested on what grounds do you claim to be 'very knowledgable when it comes to religion'? Its not a personal attack or anything, but it would be good to know what kind of background you are coming from. Furthermore, there are several sects in Islam (you only referred to Sunni and Shia in one of the questions) and even more sub-dvisions therein, most with the same core principles but different view points on different issues. Which one do you represent and is it safe to assume you are answering these questions from the view point of that group? It would be inappropriate to state that any of these answers represent the Muslim population as a whole (or Islam for that matter) and its important to emphasise that.

Boy can you say that again. Hence your attempt at filling the gap in the market with your original rune blogs idea eh?

I think the 'digging up dirt' term would be better replaced with the euphemism 'researching the compeition' hehe. Dirty tactics are emplyed by people in real life so I'm not surprised that there are people that would use them on the net. Even with major websites if you're talking about tip.it and the like (millions of hits).
-
Well then it would just be a general theme..maybe we could base it off of the tip.it site design? That way it matches the site and isn't too Runescapey, but is still relevant. Thats what I think would be best too :)
-
I use it once every 3-4 weeks on top of regular Ad-aware and Spybot scand but be careful with the options and review the results carefully before you delete things. Quite useful for me :)
-
So I take it you use the black site theme rather than the default blue?
