People always say that the later seasons aren't as good but honestly the "caricature" features start to present themselves as early as season 4 (i rewatched the series a few months ago). I still maintain that the last season is as strong as the first, people just didn't like that Steve Carrell bailed. If anything, the series got better the longer it went on. Plus the writers gave us beautiful shows later on such as; Parks and Rec The Good Place SuperStore Brooklyn 99 And at least one other I'm forgetting that's gold
