  1. 45 prayer - feel bad as had been keeping this one for emergency use (was only 30 xp below levelling). Oh well an emergency is an emergency - hopefully will have more time tomorrow.
  2. 10k exp to go for another smithing level but stuck in a car park with a flat battery - what a way to spend the day!
  3. Me too *lol* (physical age 30, mental age under review) Smithing 62 achieved this morning. Seemed to get into a nice rhythm smithing steel, and then cannonballs at Port Phantasmasys. Getting a good rhythm seems to be the key to skilling into the high 50s and above. Some days you can get into it and some days you can't (and then you go kill things!).
  4. Just updated my sig - didn't realise runeweb needed telling to update. Guess you all thought i was lying about my level ups  Got my mining to within a couple of hours training of 72, so needed a bit of R&R. Off to the rock crabs to collect pearls. Soon have enought to go dragon hunting....
  5. Another fishing level at Shilo Village achieved without too much pain (this level seemed to go a lot faster than the last one). Done by 9.30 am so can spend any time I get today mining iron. Have got quite good fish stocks saved now for cooking levels (fish pie anyone? - might help speed up future fishing levels). Might start smithing tomorrow....
  6. Well there's a biggy done - 71 mining. Completed mining iron just north of Yanille. Now with coal from MTK I can start smithing steel and cannonballs. Hopefully aim for a smithing level tomorrow.
  7. Hey guys thanks for all your support. I know its going to be a tough call when all my skills get towards 70. Especially as some days I'm only on for like half an hour a day! But I'm really loving all your support and the PMs I get while I'm in game (HYT Dude). I'm hoping to get 71 mining tomorrow which will be a big one. Tomorrow's also my MTK collection day so with a bit of luck I'll get enough tree seeds to get another farming level. Thanks again guys, will let you know how I get on tomorrow.
  8. Thanks Gremmy. Yeah it'll reach crunch time in a few months when I run out of easy levels but I'll have the excuse of having my new daughter then.. you never know, sleepless nights might be cured by a bit of Runescape. Meanwhile have just bumped Herblore up. Had a load of Harralander stored from Farming and made energy potions from chocolate bought from the gnomes. Figure energy pots might come in handy at some stage and its easy exp. PS "Make All" rocks for herblore!
  9. Thanks for your support Mylez! Fising in Shilo Village this morning. I've mostly ignored fishing apart from when I've been desperate for food as I find it one of the most boring skills (strangely I find fletching therapeutic though). I was going to buy 1000s of feathers from merchants on the forums, but luckily found the Fishing Hut in Shilo usually has full stocks, so I can buy 50 feathers for every load of fish I catch. Was able to level up without too much effort (and semi AFK although multiple logging and fishing spots moving seemed to slow up the process). I ideally want to get my level up into the 60s so I can catch Karambwan for level 2 Karamja gloves, but I think I'm going to have to alternate with other skills so I don't getting fishing burn out!

  11. INTRODUCTION I've decided my Runescape goal is to try and gain at least one level (in any skill) each day. In RL I work full time and my daughter, Daisy, was born in November so I'm never going to be able to devote 100s of hours a week to Runescape. When I started this blog I had a bunch of levels below 60 to level. Now I don't! Luckily Summoning looks like its going to be a fairly challenging one to get up to 60! I'm currently just using the charms I get while on Slayer, so we'll see how far I can get that way... Come and see how I get on with my aim. Or HYT me if I'm in game!
  12. Don't bother with smoking or baiting - but do get the appropriate camo clothing as soon as you can. Also try and retreat at least four spaces from each trap. When you get to higher levels and can set multiple traps you can set them up in a pattern around you and run to each one.
  13. this update will have an effect. Before this I could double my money every week and get 300 odd K fletching exp. Still now I reckon 10 workers on maples, fletch and sell longs (u), then cover losses by putting 4 workers on flax, sell them, and have a worker to put on ?seeds, Break even and get a ton of xp
  14. How about mining gold from the 'Between a Rock...' mine, smelting it using Family Crest gauntlets, making into bracelets, high alching at ?320ea (having crafted my own nats). Too complicated or excellent multiskilling plan.

  17. As most of you will be aware Jagex recently changed the charter ship prices so that maple longs (u) can no longer be sold for 112 gp ea. What to do with the maple logs earned from Kingdom managing? Getting maples for tree seeds and then fletching the logs used to cover costs but I'm guessing the bottom will well and truly have fallen out of the maple market. Any sugegestions gratefully recieved.
  18. Thanks for the help. I hadn't realised I could give the butler noted logs (doh!). This will speed me up no end. I thnink I will give the demon butler a go (you don't start on construction if you're that worried about the expense!). The levelling has definitely started to get slow as I approach 50, so anything to kick it up another notch must be good.
  19. If you follow the road north from Ardougne until you hit the farming patch, its just a screen and a half NE from there. It is a square courtyard with a fountain in the middle and a dungeon entrance.
  20. I've been cutting oaks outside the Rimmington Portal and sending my butler to the sawmill with the logs. I should hit level 50 soon so my question is - is it worth going for the demon butler (economically - I know he looks cool). The butler seems to want his wage fairly frequently - will six extra planks a run make that much difference for twice the wage? I find the butler quick enough (although prone to wandering off when needed). Anyone with first hand experience who can advice? Thanks
  21. Always use supercompost (pick pineapples in Brimhaven or buy from Charter Traders). Keep everything you grow. You can use this produce to pay farmers to watch your next crop. Chain Farming - not just allotments you can work in fruit trees, bushes, and hops patches too. Moss giants are my best seed droppers. Otherwise thieve Master Farmers or hunt Nature imps (good tree seed droppers - I got six in an hour and a half from them when they first came out).
  22. It depends what your construction level is! To start with you have no choice but to use planks and nails. Build chairs bookcases whatever. As soon as you can use oak planks switch to these (no more "you bend a nail"). Build a workshop and flatpack furniture on this. Fastest way to get planks is from Castle wars bank>Balloon to Varrock>Sawmill>Ring of duelling repeat. When you get a servant who can do sawmill runs you can send them instead. (Three oak trees right outside Rimmington portal). Teak and mahogany are slower to harvest and more expensive - put them in the tip.it calculator and compare xp gain versus cost. Hope this helps.
  23. I am currently using the Zanaris bank>Fairy Ring>Nature Altar route. With two pouches I could rc 600 nats an hour, and now I have the large pouch I'm up to about 720 an hour. When I get my construction up I'm going to try taking house teleport tablets and then using mounted glory to Edgeville. The only problem with this route is the fairy ring is the other side of the river from the bank in Edgy (and one less slot for ess). Abyss and house teleports would probably be faster (and safer) still as you then wouldn't risk losing a glory ammy to PKers, and you could recharge your prayer at your own chapel.
  24. Ninja in Yanille. Baby on White Wolf Mountain. Baby and Earth outside Castle Frenkenstrain. Earth by Nature Altar. Seem to see more everyday though.
  25. Snapdragon from Nature implings as well. Nature seem to be pretty good for herblore and farming supplies. Managed to get four tree seeds (orange, curry, willow x 2) in three trips. Finding the spawn points seems to be key to fast harvesting. Natures respawn in about two seconds, so you can sit by the spot and keep clicking (until one gets away from you!). Still quite slow takes me about half an hour for one load (hunter level 60).
