  1. Construction? Hasn't really changed since the day it came out tbh :P Zombie implings are definitely faster for the average player, though I've never looked into whether traditional methods might be equivalent or faster for super-players like the top 15 ;). Have fun opening 1.5million zombie jars (or buying them in the first place for that matter lol) and THEN running about 100k bones to the guy in dorgeshkaan to get construction xp at around 30gp/xp. Personally I'm sticking to the traditional methods. :P Either in this thread or one of the efficiency chats, the number of jars opened per minute needed to be opened to beat conventional training methods, the number wasn't pretty.
  2. 400m. :) 105 dg and onwards towards 120 / some more 14m+ / 20m slay and farm / whatever else to follow. :)
  3. yes, i should, but doing c2's while reading news / playing chess/ whatever else means i'm not too fussed about it really, not exactly going for omgwtfbbq mega xph. :) Also, generally only doing a few at a time when i don't have the time for a floor / to go and do other skills, so they aren't all being done at once hmmn, a screenie to unspam... bought a couple days ago at 20.45. :)
  4. laws are bound, hatchet and fishing gear is due to me doing c2's for the nice xp in fish+wc. :P Bug is 2nd stone being charged at the last possible moment, it charges it but stomp heals and it doesnt count, it stays lit up afterwards^
  5. Occasionally 148 isn't completely full of terrible bad people, and you can manage a sub-30 warped floor there.
  6. Yes you can low alch in dungeons.^
  7. cheers. :) Been under a week, and haven't been gaming much, but updated cashpile. made 75m in under a week, can't complain.
  8. Ely is currently ~562 on GE.
  9. For players flying under the radar that don't get much attention, just going to mention Dapledo quickly. :) Grats to paperbag on ranged, time for you to do some not-so-expensive skilling? :P
  10. Finally bothered maxing out. :) 120 dg, and a fair few skills up to the 15m/20m mark next. For now here's a couple screenies so the topic isn't empty. :P Rate / Hate / Mast... Want to max out the cashpile, will be merching my way up to 2b slowly.
  11. ~8558.5 for a perfect rune sword. ~5445 for mithri. Was able to push mithril to ~225k xph, without any of the 1-time bonuses you get at the start, after some testing. That said, rune here is 27gp/xp at least, compared to mithril which is 8gp/xp (both gp rates assuming you never break swords, and always get max. so actual figures are higher). Compare this to smithing addy plates, which is simpler, ~12 gp/xp. Decent xp/h but you have to pay for it if you want to go all out. Extrapolating the mithril xph, it's ~350k per hour making rune swords at a bit over 9.5m gold for it.
  12. purp was at ~890-897 yesterday, it's going for 905+ today. anyone got current prices on the other hats?
  13. Switching rings is a loss of invy space, on some tasks you're close to juggling for space already. Never mind that slower kills = less kills = less drops per hour, but better drops. People going for purely speed this probably won't affect too much. Depends on how much it affects the drop rates, for me though i'm going to wait until they give us some numbers or people do some tests before i switch rings. :)
  14. Just wanted to drop in here and say grats to Suomi for finally maxing out his total level. :) Going to enjoy watching your slayer gains. Xensure, thanks for posting the numbers.
  15. It was 712m a week or so back, this is what being lazy, not properly gaming, and just checking in on the GE while watching TV gets me. I'll probably hold off maxing out until it's back over the 1b mark. :)
  16. Crazy profits there Stev, still building my cashpile up a bit more before i go for the high-end shields and phats myself. Merching pile should be over the 1b mark in under a week, and that's with being lazy and just using GE. :) Anyone wondering on lower-end rare prices, green <68, blue <87, red <118.5, and easter ~78.5.
  17. Looking forward to doing some floors with you efficiency nutters over the weekend, if i have the time. Golvellius - I disagree with you so often, but regardless... those testimonials were hilarious. :D That said, why do people take so long in the starting room? Grab something you can sell, get a couple bits of food, sell junk item you bought, buy toolkit and ess, make cosmics / astrals, run off. Takes like half a minute tops, yet on 148 i see people taking 2 minutes or so before they're even ready to start the floor.
  18. Stakers can stake smart. Simply do like what people do in casinos and if you lose double your stake the next time until you do win and you win your original stake, you could even tripple up if you want a bit more risk. theres nothing smart, thats not a trick or anything odds are odds, every stake you enter has 50% chance, so theres not a single "staking strategy" to make it so you will make money lets put it this way, if 100 people entered a world and all started staking, and every one of them did this, theyd all make money right? wrong just as much is lost as is gained, theres no trick to a 50 50 chance How is that not a trick or anything? its is a very well known trick Your comparison to 100 people does not work because if everyone starts at 1mil and doubles up and 1 person doubles up 5 times so that they are staking 32mil then they need to find someone to stake against, but everyone has won earlier and is not staking 32m so the problem is that they have no one to stake with not that the group overall doesn't make money. Making a "closed" situation where you limit the number of people doesn't work in reality as well as that not everybody bets systematically. Obviously if you close it to a certain number of people then there cannot be a net gain in their wealth it will just go from 1 to the other. Just going to drop this here.
  19. LOL'd at the anti-lure, but yes, defeating them in a real fight would be much more entertaining. Unspam. Brb Maxing. :)
  20. An obscene amount of GP is exchanging hands at the moment. I've found it interesting that the majority of people are either saying that the GE changes have made getting rich obscenely easy, or have said nothing has changed. And if you think nothing has changed, I'm perfectly happy for you to keep thinking that. ;) The GE is allot more flexible for merching now. I want to sit at the GE skilling and update offers every minute or two? Ok, there's items i can flip while doing that. Put an offer in for 100 whips, sell them in 10's as they come in. Trade some other quick items like Dbones etc repeatedly. Want to just play around with the GE inbetween floors / slayer tasks / whatever? Trade some slower stuff for bigger margins. The GE is a much more flexible tool for trading now.
  21. Do It Yourself.
  22. GE letting you buy and sell stuff simultaneously is fun <3:
  23. It takes money to make money. (Yes, no actual new money is made, blah blah. I'm still aquiring wealth, if you want me to use a different term.) I remember when the GE first came out, i had a lowly 17m to my name. I've flipped allot, and it's gotten to the point where i can make that in a day if i spend the time at the GE. Yet i still feel like there's allot more i could do if i had a bigger cashpile lying around, go figure. Point is, everyone feels in awe of the rich / maxed / whatever players at some point of their lives. It's not that hard to get there yourself if you put the effort in.
