  1. Just curious, but can it be 3D, or does it have to be pixel? And would you prefer objects relating to thieving, or a scene of somebody being pickpocketed or something?
  2. Awesome! Lovin the composition and the image image in the middle (I really hope thats not a stock, and you made it yourself) Only things i think should be fixed is that one clef (or whatever you call it :?) beside her left shoulder, it seems to stick out a tad too much. And the leaf pattern across the bottom is too repetitive. I think that if you were meaning to make it repetitive, you should have kept it constant instead of making them spread out and vary on the left side. But thats just me. Also, great sig.
  3. A faded phoenix type thing in the back might give it a nice touch. Great logo thing though. I think you should fade/fix the .net part, doesn't seem to fit in as well as the other fonts.
  4. Correction: You just don't model them in the best quality. Your rendering is fine, its the modeling and the postwork that need improvement.
  5. Lol, do you even know how to model? :lol: Hehe.. 3D Modeling is very hard to do, and consists of more than just a few textured cylinders. What program are you using to model them? I've noticed your using paint to save them - you should try saving as a .PNG instead - you'd get MUCH better quality images.

  7. Yea, i think he was wanting a sig he could use and thats why he'd pay for it. Thats why hes being so 'picky', because if your gonna use a sig, ya may aswell get it to fit your tastes, eh? :)

  9. Hey coolcoop58, if you move the "Detail" slider in "Render Control" window all the way to the right, it will look a TON better ;) Nice pic though. I think he used a pre-made texture called machine. Quote: "machine in this case" Nice stuff paul. :)

    Actually, no fractals are in it. Its just pure 3D, with some 2D. Meh, i'm not in it for the money, i'm in it for the fun of making something.   13. Well the general view on these things is that you should try pulling the trigger preferably with the barrel facing away from you..... :wink: There isn't a trigger yet, so it would be pretty hard to shoot ;) Clays = untextured, unskinned. That means no/very few colours..

    I'm trying something a bit different than the other entries. I dunno if you'll like it, though. Still adding more things, if you like it i'll add on 3d grass (not just the bitmap), a full quiver and some arrows too (so it doesn't look so empty ;)). I'll try doing those things tomorrow, when i get a chance ;) Well, i have a few angles. I've also got different colour variations, like this: Tell me which angles you like the best, and i'll add more stuff to it to make it look a bit more 'complete'. I'll also add a small text animation to whichever one you prefer. :) Oh, and if i've still got any type of chance with those 3d sigs i had a while back, then i'll also try fixing those up.
  16. Heh, i was thinking of doing something like this ever since i got that in my sig box :lol: (would have been a different concept, of course). Good stuff, unfortunately, most people will scroll right through it without noticing what it says because its so similar to any other one of those oversized things. (and i know that was your point..)
  17. Lol :roll: References are NOT cheap. If your going to mimic an actual item, why not try to get it the same as in real life, instead of totally different? And i don't know what you mean by tracing? Or are you using splines (I still don't know this - you never specified your technique). Using references are accepted and used by almost every modeler out there, unless he's just making something up as he goes. Though i'd like to point out, since we are on the subject of references and being cheap, using an image you didn't make to texture your gun is not accepted by most modelers. Its considered stealing, ripping, or in some cases, plagiarizing, and also considered "cheap", since there isn't as much work involved as making your own textures. And, I may be wrong, but thats what it looked like you did in this post. http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=113636 (thats why i asked to see clays/wireframes, since theres no point in rating the texturing if you didn't make it, and instead i could just rate the model itself) And i wasn't flaming, i was trying to help. And i was asking for a references so i could see what you were using as a reference, and give you points on how to improve. I was also trying to find out your modeling technique, and if its one i'm comfortable with i could help you out with that too. True, sorry about that. :mrgreen: If your putting it here to be rated (i'm guessing thats what your doing), you should prepare yourself for people who may not like the image you've created. Unfortunately, alot of people aren't as generous as others on rating highly, because their opinions may be different.
  18. Lol.. I know how to model and render in 3dsmax, and i know how to UV map (and texture without stocks), what else do you want me to know on this matter? :lol: And i don't do pixels. Don't judge a book by its cover :P
  19. Ahhh! So very off... Are you using references pics? (can i see them?) If so, are you using them in a different window or in 3ds itself? What's your technique? What do you start with, what do you edit in, what tools you use most etc... The stock is totally messed up, and it looks like the big cylinder piece at the barrel needs a smoothing group assigned to it.   22. Looks like you poorly UV mapped a stock photo onto a poorly made gun :roll: Wireframes or clays, please? Right now the gun looks pretty simple. For example, the top handle thing, it looks like 3 rectangles... Try editing it in poly form so it looks more realistic. And polycount?

    Alrighty. If you can narrow it down for me a bit and tell me which background(s) you prefer the most, it would be great, because i've got somebody else buying and they'll take whatever you don't buy (you get first dibs, since your payment is higher ;) Hehe) And by decor i assume you mean some kind of 2D (like linework?). Scanlines, funky hexagons, tech shapes, etc..? Or did you mean something else, like stock photos?
