God Came And Went (CC, Rate, Marvel)
The name, textures and colours may not be great, but they can be fixed. They are just eye candy that will make the whole image appear slightly better... Any designer will be able to see through these minor flaws to find out if the artist has potential talent or not. I think it's the composition and model that makes this piece feel 'pro'. And those are the things that can't be fixed, without recreating the whole thing. (but as I mentioned, the small size is a bummer, and that also can't be fixed)

[3D Modeling] P99
LOL! I was actually planning on doing that next, I've already started getting references for it! Mind reader :P But I might end up doing a Glock 33 first, cause it doesn't look too difficult and its a really cool pistol.

Nice abstract :) A bigger size would look great, and some subtle airbrushing or something else in the background would finish it up nicely.

[3D Modeling] P99
3dsmax 6 & Brazil Rio r/s If you see any mistakes or want to give me C&C please post here. set 1 set 2 Closeup on regular version: Details on tactical versions: Flashlight, Laser and a scope! The scope is actually of a different gun. I'm thinking of adding more grooves, knobs and other details to the handle to balance it with the tactical additions. ALSO note I havn't finished the smoothing, and if you didn't notice, it hasn't yet been skinned. I doubt I'll get around to skinning it, unless my photoshop fixes itself soon (currently broken!). I might do a cheap UV map of a reference though :D

Final Entries In! About to be posted...please review
Oo, this looks fun. Too bad I'm not very good at graphics, and especially bad at drawing... lol :( Are you entering, gsw? :)

New Shield! [Stats Included]
-SPAM- Nice drawing though. Looks authentic. Cool stats too lol :P

Blonde (and I am not just saying that for views! ) New v ers
I like the lips. You'll need to highlight it a lot more - right now the face looks too dull and flat. Lookin' good though.

3D render programs and info on Bryce?
Well, most decent 3D programs with full functionality will cost a lot of money. So if you just want to screw around and make a couple sigs, there is really not point in going through the trouble to get one (even if its free). However, two free ones I know of is Blender 3D and Gmax. You definitely won't get a good 3D modeling feel using the freeware programs, and your images won't be nearly as good unless you work with the program for years. Gmax: http://www4.discreet.com/gmax/ Blender3d: http://www.blender3d.org/

My art
Here is some of my favourite work I've done in the past, as well as a couple of new things. It's nothing special, just a hobby. I'm currently working on something new, which will hopefully be a lot better than the junk below. C&C, you know the drill. :) Misc: Unfinished: Layouts: 3D Modeling: Sigs: Gallery: http://www.venomai.deviantart.com << very outdated

PS Shaded Drawing, Drawn by Orchiare
Ditto. A lot of it looks like random burning... Its not bad for a start though. You should try your hand at more realistic stuff, instead of manga.

Rate this G (new version added!)
If you knew what you were talking about you might have sounded intelligent, since you don't, go back to making models. Damn, who knew there was so much contraversy on grunge style sigs :| Something I'd like to see YOU try is modeling. :D That would be fun. Whats so great about it? :? The abstract background has little depth, and (like most grunges) seems flat and boring, and the clashing stock photo on top of it doesn't seem too appealing. The text isn't special either, fortunately you've made that pretty subtle on your current one. The one with the clip totally clashes, even more so than the stock. Sorry mate, but I've seen better from you. You've been spending too much time at the grunge-crazed site, few people there know anything when it comes to design.

New "terragen" (Landscape) For auction!
:( Looks like a usual terragen. Nothing about it that stands out, or that looks any different from most of the other terragens around. The quality is low, and the pixel text is bad. But good luck on selling :)

What's up with the "u use premade u noob" snobism?
Lol, you should have been there when the 3dsm brushes were on the loose like i talked about    I can only imagine the chaos...

goku pixel sig - take a peek ^^
Ah, I'm not familiar with DragonBall Z, but I now see what the folds are for. The shadows under the lines should be above them, if you are using the reference picture above. As you can see, there was little shading/highlighting under the folds, most of it was overtop of them. But on your image, there is alot of shading under the folds, and very little (If any?) overtop of them. Now that I'm taking a good look at it, I'm not all that fond of DBZ drawings. But if thats what you were aiming for, I guess you did a pretty good job :)

Close this ' dont bother read or post
The squirrel is ok, the fingers and legs look pretty strange though :? I love the fur detail and shading on most of it :) As Lowgravity said, shading might help it, but it also might make it look too clustered :? Comments: -The arrow feathers look too bright, its kinda distracting and doesn't really look like it does in real life. -The tree looks pretty silly next to the uber-detailed squirrel. :? -Nice walls. I like the brick manipulation. -Too busy in the background for my tastes... I kinda think the background ruins it. Maybe its just me, but the people and trees in the back look really plain. I know its hard to put detail on such small things, but maybe you could have gotten them a little closer.. Right now he looks a really far way away.

goku pixel sig - take a peek ^^
Ermm.. Sorry, but I don't like it much. Looks way too plain, needs a ton more detail and the shading needs alot of work. The shadows under the cheeks (The black things under his eyes..? Dunno what those are..) look too dark, as if his face is steeply sloping inwards from there. If they are wrinkles, the shading should look more like the wrinkles are indented into his face, instead of extruding from it. It should be highlighted there, if anything. Though its quite good for a first. Keep practicing, and don't use such soft shading on the hair :) It could probably sell for a bit atm, even though it needs improvement.

What's up with the "u use premade u noob" snobism?
I like to think of it this way.. If there was a button on Photoshop that would randomize a nice sig background every time, would you use it? Everyone's opinion is different, but I wouldn't use it. I'd rather make my own art, totally from scratch, totally by my self instead of using a pre-made resource. The result may not be as cool as the pre-made, but at least I'd have built a little bit more confidence and improved in skill by making a sig from scratch. You're not going to get anywhere if you're work is just made by other people, and only slightly manipulated by you. Plus, your new art would look like everyone else who used the same pre-mades as you (though this doesn't seem to be such a big problem at tip.it ) Though I don't use pre-mades myself, I wouldn't go around flaming anyone who does. I don't think they should do it, but its their choice, and if its plagiarism, then its a risk they chose to take. The only exceptions I use in my own work are default things, such as Adobe Photoshop brushes, filters, styles, etc.., 3ds max maps, scripts, plugins, etc.., and even some textures, as well as a couple other things. :)

Auction: "Angel of Light" Sig - Start Bid: 100k
You stated right before this that you used Poser 5 and various DAZ products - meaning you must have used pre-made models. So you can't really say it was all made by you, since you weren't the one who modeled the woman or the wings. (correct me if I'm wrong, though) But nice sig :)

Do Vector - Wallpaper
Mmm.. Thats nice. The colourful vector should be a bit bigger though...

does anyone know any good free render sites
I hate to do this, because you shouldn't be sticking images you didn't make into a sig to try and make it look 'better', but here is a "render" site i hear is very popular. http://www.gamerenders.com/ EDIT: Hm.. Doesn't seem to be working right now. :?

Technique for pixels?
I start with a sketch, re-do it with a 1 pixel brush and try my best to keep the lines at 1 pixel wide. If its wider, it will throw off the look of your sig. And I use Photoshop, mainly so I can use the layer and history pallets to my advantage.

Eeh, Confusing 20 Min sig? :p
Nice. But it would be a lot better if you coloured and shaded the objects in it.

Option A: Try to stay away from filters until you can learn to use the program to its full extent. properly. Filters can be helpful in rare cases, but its a bad habbit to get into when your starting out. (Ironic for me to say this, eh?). And if you are using filters, at least try and make it look like there was some effort put into it. Option B: Work on a sig for more than 15 seconds. If you find it wastes too much time in your life, then stop making sigs because you aren't going to get anywhere. Option C: Make a completely new and BETTER sig, and never speak of this one again. And don't post any results until you are experianced with the program, or at least experianced enough to make a reasonably nice sig. Hope I helped. I'd choose all the options, if I were you. Art takes time. If you don't spend time on stuff, it will end up looking horrible.

how do u make a file *.png
If your using paint, some people can just type in *.png when saving and it will actually save it as a png file, even though its not selected in the 'file type' thing. Though I'm not sure if this works for everyone. If that doesn't work, try doing a google search for 'image convertor', and maybe include 'png' to your search. There should probably be free programs out there that can convert image types for ya (I'm sure download.com has a bunch) Or, you can post the image here and we can convert it for you. And as a last resort, you can download/buy programs (such as Photoshop or Gimp) that can convert it for you very easily, and also be helpful for all your other graphical needs ;) But this is kinda wastefull if all you're going to do is convert images to .png

A pixel BG I'm working on EDIT:PROGRESS
Lol, are you trying to make a cool pixel sig or one similar to the graphics in runescape? The sig needs a ton more detail and shading, and the skull above his head and his face are nearly impossible to see clearly because of the very light background. The text in the bottom right sinks in too clearly with the rock, and the squares in the corners don't fit. And lastly, the 2-tone border doesn't work, maybe if you changed the colours around but the blue makes it look like a mistake or something. Nice, though, other than what I've mentioned above :)
