-Photoshop 3 Random Creation-
London wins again! Considering the program you used (ew! ps3..) its not that bad. The blue doesn't follow along the white in a circular manner, and pixel fonts get blurry when you rotate them. Nice job with the white lines... Must have taken a while.

Few renderings I made
Nice. 1st; Needs smoothing. String looks odd, not very realistic. Too many curves in it, making it look too set up. Needs a ground texture, and general textures overall. Needs shadows and a bit more lighting. Not bad though, I like the modeling on the heart, if it was reflective and glossy it would look great. 2nd; Not much to say, you opened a .3ds and rendered it. :( I can't tell what you made and what you didn't... 3rd; Why the reflection on the ground? Whats with the opacity on the material? Its good, but its made up of very primitive shapes. You should learn box modeling or plane modeling (or something similar). plane modeling technique box modeling technique There are many different methods on every style of modeling, the two tutorials I linked to above just give you an example of each. Good luck with modeling!

ninja/assisin/whatever...
Looks great so far. The building on the left throws off the symmetry that was going on, but I guess it may have made it look fake. :) Still think you should change the colours, but I guess I should wait for the final composition.

Very nice.. Not a fan of eyes? :(

My 3rd pixel sig and line work for 4th
Bigfoot's breasts are a little too pronounced... Be sure to check out topics on human anatomy, a lot of your bodies seem very disproportionate. Its too incomplete right now to give much of a critique.

ninja/assisin/whatever...
Very nice. Only complain I have is the choice of colours. The bright red and blue makes him look like a children's toy instead of some fierce warrior. Can't wait to see the final product :) Great shading so far, nice pose, and great linework. Are you using a reference?

Consideration about ripping.
Well, Keiphus and Tttia being digital painters... As well as the beginners who are attempting it, like myself and a few others. GreatSilverWyrm, maybe even Keiphus and Entangle, as well as a few others, who are great in minimalistics... We have entangle, grey hawk and myself, and I'm sure I left out a whole bunch here, who are interested in 3d modeling. And we have a few vector artists... Keiphus, DementedHero, and even me (again, a beginner.. but attempting to improve). Quer is even trying his hand at vectors. We don't have many of these unique artists, but compared to those sig-related sites you speak of (like rks-gx, gamerenders or gfx-reborn), we have enough. :) And we have a lot of pixelers, which can be just as creative and talented as digital painters. Although some may not all be that great or use proper pixeling techniques, they are learning and soon will be.

Consideration about ripping.
HA! So all those people who spent hours building, drawing, concepting, and finally modeling & rendering Master Chief from Halo WANT it to be stolen and put on sigs worldwide? I'm an abstractist, maybe not a good one, but everything I make is 100% from scratch. (nowadays, at least) I'm disappointed when I see somebody using premades or 'game renders' on their sigs. Abstract sigs are probably one of the lowest and easiest forms of art, these artists who use premades have just taken it a step lower. Thats true, but sites devoted entirely to Sigmaking (unless the sigs include digital paintings, pixel art, or really anything other than grunge/abstract) can't be thought of as serious graphic-related sites. If you post a grunge with ripped content, or even a sig for that matter, on major graphic sites like cgtalk, 3dtotal, or conceptart, you'll be bashed and flamed within seconds. Nobody there wants to rate sigs, since they all know how little talent and effort is involved to make them, especially the grunge ones. Keiphus, Tttia? Entangle? GreatSilverWyrm? LordLiquid? The Jeppoz? Zilben? (just to name a few!) All of these artists are pros at what they do, each one with their own unique style of art. We have digital painters, we have modelers, we have minimalistic-ers, pixelers, abstractists, vector artists... you name it! Thats a waste of good time. 4 hours on an abstract sig could make a beautiful abstract wallpaper, or better yet, a nice digital painting. Anyways, I agree with you tj. Needs to be fixed! I hate seeing somebody who's completely ripping take the lead because his Master Chief or Max Payne is so appealing.

*- I need help at ideas for background -* + first Vector?
:) A little plain for a vector. Although vectors usually look simple in some aspects, they often have a lot of detail. Everything looks jittery and shaky.. are you sure you're using the pen tool? Do you have the original reference though? I'm interested in ninja-looking references for digital painting uses... ;) As for the character, its kind of difficult to tell what is happening. The colours and shapes all seem to blend together, making it look pretty busy. He also seems to be slanted back on an angle, with his arms crossed, but his head in a regular position, as if he's being all 'gansta'. I love the outlining on the axe. :) Looks great. dawg.

Lazy Summer Day's Nap-----------fixed rails
Thats so good :'( What tablet are you using? Needs fur though :P

My first pixel sig (well ok my 2nd)
Thats a pretty character good for your second! Not bad on the details, but the shading needs a little work.. and it needs a background. Keep workin' on it :) You're improving quickly

Evil WIP , 3rd UPDATE!(Warning : BLOOD)
Well, I'm not saying you actually used gradients, but since your shades look so close together, its giving the imitation of a gradient. On a closer look, I can see all the shades you used, and where the irregularities are in the skin and armour, but at a regular view the arms and face look too smooth and cylindrical to be those of a humans. Here is an exaggerated example of what I mean. On the top box, the shades are much different from each other, enough to define the irregularities in the shape. On the second, the shades are so similar that it imitates a gradient-look. Its hard to tell there are even different shades in the second one, unless you zoom in. But don't get me wrong, this is a great sig, AMAZING details, AMAZING textures/patterns, and the smooth-style shading fits great with armours. The linework is superb and I can't wait for the final piece. The only major flaw in it is the shading style on the face and arms, it doesn't seem to be matching with how light would actually affect it (unless you zoomed in, then it becomes more clear ;)).

Evil WIP , 3rd UPDATE!(Warning : BLOOD)
OH NOES!! I see gradient/pillow shading :( Great linework and awesome details, but some of the shading ruins it. wip = work in progress. Its quite obvious that he's not yet done... I'm sure it will look great once he is though ;)

Do not have fear!
Looks great, nice hair and nice shading overall :) Only thing that's bugging me is the face, some areas aren't shaded making him look somewhat flattened.

*PIXEL NUMBER 4* (see pg2) ------ load more done!
Whats with all these green glows on the items? The major problem is that it focuses too much on the torso and legs, and you cut out the heads and hands to do this. And the face is very important to a character. It contains the emotions, sets up moods and varies the overall feel of the image, all of which can be achieved through details. A 6 pack can't do this. The next problem is the text. Too big and distracting. With that out of the way, another problem would be the heads. They look shrunken compared to the ultra-buff body of the characters. Also try to balance out the shading a little more, and lose the gradient-style and pillow shading. There are a few things in the sigs that are unshaded, while others are over shaded. And lastly, the ground. Too flat, way too flat. I like the rips on the ninja guy, good thinking. This is almost "going the distance" to adding details. I'll give more crits tomorrow.. Off to bed!

Media's Price
abstracts; 100-350k, depending on quality grunge; 50-200k, depending on quality vector; 100-600k, depending on quality & effort pixel; 1m +, but some can be free or nearly free (although not nearly as good, of course) if you find the right artists pixel av; ?? banner; refer to the other styles, add a few here and there logo; 5k-500k avatar; free-50k This is just from what I've noticed and tested, and it isn't entirely accurate, the prices between artists and effort vary greatly.

My first pixel sig! And later ones.
I second that!  *gets paypal*

My First Pixel (NOW SHADED!)
Oh, its supposed to be white! Thats good, but it looks too solid right now. You need to still add more shadows, with slightly darker grays. This is just a rough example. You can see a stronger difference between the shades on the shield and cape (the cape was just an eperiment though, I think I may have overdone it :P). Pretty subtle change...
-
Get your pixel shading practice over here!
Not a bad start, but the shading needs wrinkles and folds in it so we can tell that its a shirt. Also, you'll need a lot more shadows than what you've currently got on the shirt, looks too blocky.

Need help on resizing image. (100k reward)
Psh! Thats low quality. :P

Comments on a sig?
It looks nice, but I think the other version you made of this screwy thing looks better. The sides look low quality and the text gets tight new the top of "screwy". Good depth though. Its creative...

Need help with pixel sig !
Well, I've roughly sketched some examples of how you could add more things to it. If you want to do something similar to what I'm suggesting, you'll need to start over again, right now the walls don't leave enough space in the sig for this to be very effective. The first is very basic, straight on view of the walls, some broken buildings, clouds and the sun. The second has a 1 point perspective (the dots being the vanishing points), and the third has a 2 point perspective. You could even go as far as doing a 3 point pserspective, although it might be too complex for a sig-sized piece :P As you can see, I've made the size of the walls a bit smaller to leave room for more scenery and landscapes. Of course, the walls will be like what you've already done, rough and bumpy. These are just the basic concepts. XD Basically, you'll probably want a powerful view of the sky, (most likely a sorrow setting) and maybe some other objects showing what is going on in the sig. (maybe a soldier along the wall, or some gunfire/smoke in the distance) If you want to keep what you've already made, you can add some rubble on the ground (for the ground to be visible, you'll need to cut the bottom of the walls off) and maybe a couple soldiers, heading in through the walls (maybe an explosion can be seen in the entry of the walls). This would be more of an action shot than a scenery shot... So it depends what you are aiming for.

Bryceness 5.0
Psh, thats noob! http://3dlinks.com/gallery_fullview.cfm?id=7603 http://www.cache.daz3d.com/galleries/ar ... 2/4206.jpg gg. Yea.. its good, just difficult to get great results with. Abstracts shouldn't be too difficult though (just as easy as they would be in most other programs).

My first pixel sig! And later ones.
Awesome stuff. I've seen most of them already. All great work! The fire arrow sig is new to me though, it looks awesome. lol! ownage background!!! Have you tried digital paintings? And do you have any sketches? If so.. i'd love to see em :P

My First Pixel (NOW SHADED!)
Well.. I'll try to explain the angle issue with a little pic. But I havn't checked this to align it with your sig, I'm just giving you an idea of different angles. And you don't need to draw the gridlines, of course.. :P As for the shield, I was thinking of something a little darker. I haven't seen a 'sara kite' (I've been retired from rs for quite a while now) so I'm not sure what the colours look like.. And to fix the cape, you should first lower the brightness and saturation of the colours (or better yet, of all your colours ;)). Then you can give it shadows. Even though its a white fabric, it will still receive shadows like anything else... You're also doing one hell of a job of keeping the colours low. Grats :P PS: Are you using a very dark monitor? A lot of the colours used, even on things like the party hat, seem to be at max brightness and saturation for that hue. Too bright, especially for a paper hat! EDIT: Oh, and about anti-aliasing, check the tutorials on this page: http://www.spriteart.com/main.html (more specifically; [link])
