  1. Those are the negs mentioned in 'the game', mystery came up with them so they are ancient. They aren't good ones, but should still work unless the girl has heard them before. (which is likely) To answer the original question, girls that get hit on a lot will dismiss you instantly (who has the time to screen every guy properly) unless you know how to get through their screen. The purpose of the neg is to be different. Most guys will give them a compliment, she enjoys the ego boost and then ignores him. If you don't give her that ego boost, she will be wondering why you didn't, and will try and get it out of you. She then gives fake IOIs and tests to see if you respond, and the game begins. That's the idea anyway, I can't say I even see many 9s and 10s let alone talk to enough to confirm the idea from experience. doomsavenger, I can see how you would think that, but it does have a purpose. Brad P's fashion bible covers the reasons for elitism perfectly if you're interested. (he applies the elitism to fashion but it works in this situation) Using jargon like the word neg also cuts down paragraphs of information into a 3 letter word.
  2. Exercises the brain and makes you think. Somewhat <_<
  3. How can you know you had a test but not know what it was? :s Most of the time the test will be her trying to get you to jump through a hoop like doing something for her, or following her. Girls that get hit on a lot will often just straight up insult you, and if you pass (and neg) they warm up a lot. I wouldn't worry about those types until you get out of school though.
  4. [hide=] It could have, but it is next to impossible because it also could have been caused by the flying spaghetti monster, or one of the other infinite number of deity possibilities. As I've said, the only thing that makes the christian god special is that the Christians killed everyone else. Alright, I don't want to turn this in a "Is God real" discussion, but you cannot ignore the amount of miracles that are credited to Christianity. It's not like christians just killed everyone they saw and that's why they rule the world or whatever. So many people who lost cancer or other diseases by the power of prayer alone, there are many examples, even to this day, and all of them are carefully examined by a board of bisshops and doctors. Look, I'm not a devout Christian (hell, I'm close to being no Christian at all), but I do believe in God and this has always been something that made me feel like it confirms my belief. Most so-called miracles can be explained, and for those that have no explanation, it doesn't automatically mean god did it. We don't know how something happens =/= god did it. As for the power of prayer, scientific research has been mixed, and some larger studies have shown no effect. One, in which recovering heart patients were prayed for, showed a negative effect. However, I'd say that's just due to some experimental error (you wouldn't believe that god intentionally hurts people, would you?), just like the studies that have claimed to show a positive effect. If you really want to establish a new idea in science, especially such a controversial one, you need a consistant demonstration of the effect in question, and that's just not happened with studies on prayer. You make prayer sounds like it's a steam engine. It's not something you just randomly turn on, it's not like you pray and *floop* everything just happens. Praying is something that shouldn't be done out of the pure believe that you'll get helped, but should be done to hold up a connection with God. You're the one who made it sound like a "steam engine" Fadooda. I was merely saying that scientific evidence hasn't supported what you claimed. If you now want to say that prayer isn't for healing people but is rather for a connection with God than that's fine. As another poster has said, isn't it convenient how you can say don't pray to expecting being helped, but in the times you are helped it must be God helping you. Frankly, this is the kind of thing that annoys me about religious thinking. Why be so kind to God? Why not question why prayer only works some of the time, seemingly at random (it's not like so called prayer-caused "miracles" are unique to Christianity, you know). It would seem that it's not God helping people get over their diseases, it's nature and cold heartless chance. Not as comforting, I know, but it's always better to accept the world as it really is. [/hide] The thing is Fadooda, there are no miracles. Apparently somebody prayed and received so the prayer must have been answered. Maybe the natural course of events just unfolded. Praying is pretty damn arrogant of Christians anyway - I know if I had some great master plan set I'd be pissed off if everyone bugged me constantly, asking me to change it. Spin a wheel with 5000 numbers on it. We got 3487, any other number and a different church would have killed everybody else and you would be worshiping a different god. Rien_Adelric brings up a good point - Especially if we take the many worlds theory into consideration which would mean there is a dimension outside time, so the universe's existence wouldn't need to be contained by it.
  5. Looks like the potassium just worked as a placebo temporarily, I'm back at the beginning  Starting to get them every night from 5pm till whenever I fall asleep again, last night was around 12am. For some reason I woke up at 5 and couldn't get back to sleep.
  6. Iamdan replied to Leoo's topic in Off-Topic
Well for me, asking for the cigarette would have been cause for instant rejection... Then you need to dress and carry yourself better  Maleficus1055, you should redo operation clown car but actually dress up like clowns.
  7. Iamdan replied to Leoo's topic in Off-Topic
Today I had the easiest hookup of my life. Asked a hot girl for a cigarette and she said she would give me one for a kiss and it went on from there. Will post results of my std tests later.
  8. The thing is, you don't need a list. I'm at the point where I don't even consciously look for IOIs other than with my compliance tests, I just have intuition. (I'm guessing my subconscious looks for them for me) All you really have to do is get some basic knowledge on body language and psychology and you can start evaluating gestures people make. Then you can start making your own compliance tests to look for IOIs as well as having your intuition. It's honestly not anywhere near as hard as it sounds. Remember the golden rule of looking for clusters. If she has her arms crossed don't assume she's trying to avoid you, maybe she's just cold. Maybe she also has her feet and head pointed towards you and is learning forward. Then you can start push pulling with your own body language, use it to change their body language and thus their mood and attitude towards you. I can't say I'm great at this, but it's fun to practice and see results.
  9. It could have, but it is next to impossible because it also could have been caused by the flying spaghetti monster, or one of the other infinite number of deity possibilities. As I've said, the only thing that makes the christian god special is that the Christians killed everyone else.
  10. Right idea, wrong method. Don't ignore her, (unless when first opening, and I'm pretty sure nobody else on this thread opens anyway) instead disqualify yourself while DHVing, or use a neg or 2 (or more) if you think she might get hit on a lot. Apparently some 10s in places like LA won't respond unless you neg a couple times in a row within the first few seconds.
  11. 2 and 3 are fine, 1 wasn't really what I said, but in any case: I know what I know because it interested me and I spent time researching it. I don't have the time to explain everything I have learned, retrace the steps that took me years, and find all the evidence though  Sums it up well enough.
  12. Not to mention all the proof you see today when it comes to the way attraction works. If evolution didn't exist I wouldn't get laid anywhere near as much as I do. Then you have things like attached earlobes and blonde hair which are much more recent changes than things like skeletons.
  13. 1.) Yes, but please use the proper channels / methods for proving it's validity. 2.) The big bang theory can be explained logically [sic] Explain this logic. 1. Proper channels? What is your reasoning behind wanting to handicap me? Make sure you answer the question without vowels. Stating that 9 is less than 10 is just as good as stating 10 is more than 9. 2. I'm not going to explain the big bang theory just like that, entire books have been written on it. We all know what it is, if you have an issue with a specific part of it then point it out to be addressed.
  14. 1.) Try not to prove one by disproving or ragging the other. 2.) Explain this logic. 1. You asked why I think the big bang is a more valid theory than creation. (or vice versa)I can't say that one is more valid without saying the other is less valid. Stating one is less valid is also a better way to show the other is more valid, because I have more to work with. 2. Which part? Whoever brought up evolution, it has been proven but this is about the big bang theory not evolution.
  15. Because Christianity is just 1 religion of many, invented by man. The only reason why the Christian god is widely believed in is because the Christians killed everybody else. If somebody else had killed everybody else then a different mythical theory would be popular instead, however we would still have the big bang theory. The big bang theory can be explained logically, rather than that some divine magic guy did it. Genesis is not supported by anything, it's a book. The only difference between genesis and harry potter is that many people believe genesis is true, because their ancestors told them, because their ancestors believed it and killed anyone who said different.
  16. Turns out they actually are nylon, I didn't think they looked like that. I just got a set of classical nylons and it sounds 50x better than the 20 year old strings it had
  17. I dug up my mum's 30 year old yamaha g245s, I'm guessing the dull sound means it needs new strings. The thing is, it has 3 steel strings (lower 3) and 3 nylon. I read that steel strings on a nylon guitar is bad and vice versa, and I have no idea which is actually supposed to be on there. Any ideas?
  18. Got your junk caught in your fly again?
  19. It's the donkey owner's responsibility the man lost his money. (he owns the donkey so it goes to him) He should have to compensate for the loss with money, or the donkey.
  20. Scientology is all 3. A scam, a cult and a joke. Loved the south park episode that revealed Scientology secrets, ones that are only supposed to be told to someone who donates lots of money. :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: The bible does not give you your morals, unless you're homophobic and sexist and all the other crap that's in there. You have your own based on society.
  21. deathdrow I made a post in this thread about how I used my limited knowledge of the brain to get over depression. It's effective and easy to do, but it's not overnight. You'd probably find it works faster for you, because I had mine for years before I tried it.
  22. It's called oneitis and it is avoided for good reason. There is no 'good game' to attract a girl who you are good friends with unless you really know what you're doing, other than breaking contact and coming back later. You might bumble though and do it by chance, but the odds are stacked against you. You're much more likely to get your own heart broken and possibly ruin the friendship. So there is no good advice that can be given other than that, if we gave you different advice then it would probably be bad advice. If you had a lot of experience with girls then it would be different, but then again you wouldn't need the advice in the first place. I mean you can look through my posts about stuff like attraction switches, flirting, touch escalation and asking a girl out and try it if you really want. I don't recommend it though. I'm not trying to be harsh or anything, it's just how things are generally. I've made every mistake many times, and I can see the issues that will arise for you a mile a way. Ultimately up to you, but I'd keep the friendship and move on. I'm considering getting one of my friends with benefits to come into the store when we are near each other, kissing me and asking me if 'we're still on for tonight.' Or I could start telling people in the store that I'm gay :-| I predict however, that her friend will ask me about it and the girl will find out that way. Grade 5 style  #-o
  23. Okeey, where to begin :/ Basically I'm a quiet dorky guy at work because I'm not a fan of the job and all I'm really thinking about is the end of my shift. I still dress well and have confident body language, so I seem to attract the nice quiet girls at work. Even if I was interested in being more than colleagues, I'd just corrupt them  (this goes to show how important the way you dress and carry yourself is - along with word of mouth (social proof) these are the reasons why girls I barely even know are interested in me) This is all fine, but 1 girl decided to act on it. She told her friend she likes me, and gave her her number to give to me. Not only am I forcefully reminded of grade 5, but I have to let her down nicely. She's so freaking nice though, it's like trying to strangle a puppy :( I started texting her out of politeness, being as nice and boring as possible and she hasn't brought it up yet but I'm trying to figure out what I'm gonna do. I know it's just a matter of saying I'm not interested, but she's so niiice. Like, sweet old grandma nice :wall: "gftog" isn't meant to be taken litterally (how terrible a person would you have to be to even be able to do that?). He's just saying there are plenty of other girls out there, and you're too focussed on ONE. This can lead to all sorts of unhealthy habits and behaviour, commonly reffered to as "oneitis". But I think you understand that he most of all jsut meant "move on with your life" or "get over it". ^
  24. Sumpta is right, and it's a point I've been trying to tell a friend who doesn't buy it. Exactly what IS the difference between a friendship and a relationship if you take out the sex?
