  1. What the [bleep]?

Yeah it sucked. I mean, I can still run around the world on an earlier save but it's just not the same, because the quest is just unfinished.
  3. You seriously need a light source. Ugh.
  4. Render I'm thinking. (even though I hate the use of that term)
  5. Sounds good, but i would like 8 GB ram. Can the motherboard support that? Also maybe a bigger hard drive ?? You don't need 8GB of ram, it's a waste of money. 1.5TB Hard Drive ($179) Big enough for you?
  6. It's not. $40 is an amazing deal. [cabbage], I got it and I owned HL2 and EP1 already.
  7. No, it's $40 for the entire orange box. That's it. You'll have a gift copy of Hl2 that you can give away to a friend. And no you won't have two copies of HL2, thats silly.

12 hours, maybe a little more or little less. Didn't really do any side quests. I mean, I still enjoyed the ride but the ending was boring.

Man, really disappointing ending. :( could have been so much better. [hide=spoiler]Game's ending just wasn't that exciting, and it was pretty generic. My character ended up sacrificing his life to turn on the purifier, then it was just like a slide show for the ending. Disappointing, really. Plus with the way it ends you can't continue on and have to refer to an earlier save. Lame.[/hide]
  10. I should add that you can get a 9800GT for about $110 right now, with a free copy of CoD 4. :)
  11. When I hear console I generally think of a home console, and not a portable device.
  12. The Wii is novel, but it lacks good games. Like, a serious lack.

The hate for vista is part bandwagon hate and part hating the size of it. And they are making Windows 7 drastically less bloated.

16TB is the limit, and it's really the "only" limit to the architecture. Just like 32 bit has a limit of 3.5GB. It can't be higher or lower, it just is.
  15. Yeah it's def their best. Their albums Jesu, Heartwrenched and Conquerer were pretty good too.

I never liked those graphic specific forums, save for stuff like CGSociety which has top quality work and artists there. Just too much of a circlejerk for my own tastes. Plus stuff usually is so bland because they copy the generic style everyone seems to use on said forum(s). I assume PR is the same way from what I hear.
  17. It's a pitty that the playstation 3 is almost $100 out of his budget, isn't it? And really, saying that being able to hack it and put linux on it is a big bonus for the OP? Come on. I'm not a fan of any of the next gen consoles, but the 360 is the best value for its price. Well as long as microsoft doesn't [bleep] you $100 out of a goddamn wireless adapter.

Like Dsavi said, I'm talking purely about the OS's hardware. For one, you can't really "improve" on a 64 bit OS's ram limit, its impossible. Likewise Vista handles 64 bit incredibly well already -- having two seperate folders, one for 32 bit and the other for 64 bit. As such 64 bit processes can run in 64 bit mode easily, and you can still run all of the 32 bit processes as well. I just don't see what there is to improve on the 64 bit portion of an OS. Improve on the actual OS, sure. Improve on various software to make it more 64 bit compatible, sure. But you can't do much to the actual core. Exactly my point. 64 bit has been around for ages, and apple is just now getting around to it.

Yeah of course you can. It's always tied to that steam account, forever.
  20. Dream Evil's Children of the Night. It's so cheesy, I love it.

I'll tell you what, it sure makes me feel better about pirating it. ;)

D_V, Servers need it all the time but I was talking at a very much base user use. As far as my knowledge goes people don't exactly jump up and down either to use apple based machines as servers. And you realize that WoW stands for World Of Warcraft, right?
  23. Jesu's Silver. No contest really, it's an incredible song.
  24. You're in luck, the Xbox 360 goes for $299 currently. I find the console pretty boring myself (Well I found all of this generations consoles to be boring) but that is purely a matter of opinion.

And I'm sure Macs can do some things Windows can't. New iMacs are said to be have a blu-ray drive, but who knows. Blu-ray hasn't hit the market hard enough yet because of sheer price. $300 for a blu-ray drive? No thanks. I'm sure we'll see blu-ray lowering prices on drives and then taking over like the change from VHS to DVD. You do know that Windows PCs had the blu-ray drive for a while? Exactly. That and she seems to think that 64 bit is something new, when windows has had it for ages.
