Worst game ever played
The GTA series is miles above runescape and halo. Its a good series.

what mmorpg should i try?
:-s Explain? The entire game is instanced. Even arena net has stated numerous times that it is a CORPG, not an MMORPG.

Hacking the PSP to play PS1 games
Custom firmware. 3.52 custom m33 firmware, plays homebrew, psx, psp isos all on 1 firmware. How tough is it to get on a PSP? I wanted to put it on my little brothers for him but I have no clue about them. You can PM it to me if it is beyond what we should be talking about in this thread

a futur runescape must try!
He's probably talking about Another world (or something like that). Why in gods name someone would want to copy runescape is beyond me.

Guild wars isn't an MMO. I would suggest WoW just because it really is the only good MMO out right now. You could also wait a few months and pick up Age of Conan. Everquest II would be a good try but I wouldn't recommend it to a newer MMO player.

Serious? I heard a little bit of their stuff, but didn't pursue it, because it just sounded like.. noise. Might re-try them though. I think you gotta be in the right mood for it. At the time I listened to them I was in a pretty hangbanging kind of mood, and they're fast as sin.

What are you listening to right now!?
Less than Jake- Goodbye in Gasoline. Good song 8-) .

Rogues suck against plate wearers. BTW Installing WoW now. The 500gb drive we bought was SATA and our computer (being older than camelot) didn't have the plug in on the motherboard. IT's fine. SATA is slow anyway. We're going to return it. So I'm using a 500gb external drive that my sister was supposed to get  . O well. Ah lame. And yeah rogues do suck against plate. Some of the paladin/warrior teams we could do fine against, the problem is though is that the other paladins really outgear my friend. We've beat a few of them but warriors can get some lucky crit strings and ouch! BM Hunter/rogue combos have been pissing me off rightfully too recently in the arena. I get burst down so much it seems I don't have time to even retaliate. I like them so far. Going to put on the cobrahide leg armor onto it once I find one for a reasonable amount of cash.

Bah they need to remove being able to mount in the arena, gayest tactic ever. So many paladin/warrior teams on tonight... got raped and still at a 1588 rating because of it. I know we can hit 1700 but we keep getting some blah teams.

Nerdy, nerdyer, WOW?
Sorry mate, can't know what you're thinking. A plain statement "WoW sucks" doesn't say much. Also its a 10 day trial. Ah well not arguing with this as there is no way I can. No, it doesn't and thats not what I was basing it on. I was basing it on the fact that runescape does indeed suck. I can't see someone playing something which is pretty much invigorating clicking for so long. Combat is boring and tired and PvP is all luck. You're wrong. One of the few I guess. Also not having a problem running WoW on a decent gaming machine still doesn't mean anything. Runescape is really easy to get on any machine. Arguing this is pointless though, no ones opinion is going to change. Sorry about any spelling errors, typing this while waiting for arena matches to start.

Nerdy, nerdyer, WOW?
Off-topic, do you speak it!? Sorry, all I see here is a runescape kiddie who's never tried WoW bashing the game. I'm sorry your parents won't pay $15 a month for you. Hint: actually play a game before bashing it, ok? Linkin park sucks, but thats beyond the point. You can not compare video game success and music success, they are different for reasons Lion already stated. OFF-TOPIC. I stay here because I know people here and moving to a knew forum would suck. Its still just a little java game. If they raised the price to $15 a month how many do you really think would stay and how many would move onto better games? Runescape is a poor mans MMO with very very low system requirements and a little and/or none monthly fee.

High School
Yeah agreed. Only guys I knew when I went to high school were like junior/seniors. Which btw don't sweat it as I said earlier. My first highschool year was in a new country (moved to germany from the states for 2 years). :)

Why can't America view gaming like Korea.
Agreed. I deffinitly think that the balance is somewhere in the middle, and moderation is the key. :)

I see. And yeah I never really meant it that specific, it was mostly just an example. In other games as well you learn what this 'goal' is, be it get to the other side or what. I get what you're saying but I think it would still be fine if you can devote time to both, and shouldn't be a huge factor. The one thing you can factor in too is it is much more dangerous to play a pro sport than it is pro gaming, one injury and your career can be ruined. There is a less chance of injury while gaming. Understood, and I don't blame them either with the way society is. However I think it'd be cool for a normal person to watch a 'pro gamer' and think "wow, he's really skilled at that". I do understand your point though. I have to give my own anecdotal evidence really, to this. I was playing a 5v5 clan match in an older half life mod called Firearms. In the beginning we were fairly unorganized and were just getting destroyed. The game uses a 'reinforcements' system, which basicly means every death subtracts a reinforcement on your side and vice versa. There also are these supply crates which will give your side reinforcements back. Anyways we are sitting here in this match and are down really low. We had something like 100 reinforcements and they had 200, it looked hopeless. We were on ventrilo at the time and a lot of us were just giving up. I kept on telling them that we could do it and we came up with a plan. A good friend of mine would rush them through the backway. We had 3 others camping at our base, guarding the crates and finally we had me sitting midway. The plan was working. We ended up evening the score, than finally putting it to 1-1, and we won. The only reason we won that match is because we didn't give up to the end and worked on something different. Also, another story. We all know what adrenline rushes are, and to be truthful a lot of times it can happen in a game. When the odds are against you (you're at a sliver of health and this thing you're fighting still has half) and its almost as if your reflexes are perfect, and you manage to dodge or block everything and finish it off. There is a video of this somewhere online (can't find it) of a street fighter tournement. Contrary to what you think you can "push" your self to get that extra mile (so to speak) in a game. its more than just knowledge of the game, but they need excelent reflexes as well. While a pro track person may work on being able to last longer while running fast, or trying to sprint faster a gamer may be working on his reflexes. How fast can he react to something that happens? A newer gamer will probably have a slow reaction time. It takes a lot more than just knowing how a game works to win. I would rather see one where children can emulate both and see the good sides of both. Of course thats only in a perfect world. Well the big thing is no other race has or has had opportunities to technology. Gaming in general is still very new. There is no way we can tell if it was the actual physical activity or just the actual act of being together and doing something together.

And in football you learn you need to get the ball to the other side, I don't see your point. A stupid person will not go to college. Trying to bring that into this is irrelevant. Also a football player going into college will most likely choose a phony degree (if you want to do some stereotypes here). When they graduate and don't go pro they are stuck with some random degree that isn't going to help them in the real world. Sorry but I have to disagree. Play a game as a team sport, it does teach many of the same things. You have to be dedicated, determined and persevering and have to focus to win with your team. Just like in any game (digitalized or not) teamwork takes several skills, which you listed. Pro gaming right now is obviously very small right now. Some people can break through, do good and get companies to sponsor them. What I don't get the most is that football is a game. Yet we praise them for all they can do and don't think twice about other games that take skill. Also, trapical, I agree that obviously everyone shouldn't strive to be a pro gamer. No one ever doubted you on that. However what would you say to Americas huge glamorization of pro sports? Don't you think that those people should do something better, become doctors or layers? I mean all they are doing is playing a silly game. And finally, one (hypothetical question). If a college actually had pro gaming as a sport in it, would you be more supportive of it? Pretty much if gaming turned into more than just a college club and into something like what college football, or hokey is. Would you say that at least they are getting a degree as well then?
