  2. I've always enjoyed metal. I haven't really gotten into any "new" stuff yet (I really should) just because I'm on ventrilo talking to people so often I rarely listen to music anymore. As far as name dropping bands goes I figure I'll post some stuff no one has mentioned yet. Sigh Primordial http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XT-clZE39CI YOB (pt1) (also an incredible song) Of course bands such as Helloween, Agalloch and the like I also really enjoy.
  3. So crazy ass question here but thought I'd ask. Is anyone in VG&C Korean and have a KSSN (Korean SSN)? Reason I'm asking is I really want to try out this Korean MMO thats in open beta but you need a KSSN and phone tied to that to get in it, haha.

Pretty good news regarding the Steamworks on PS3, lets hope they include KB/M support and put their other games up for download. Honestly that is pretty exciting news.
  5. It's hard to say. I think rehashing the same idea year after year with no real improvements is bad. I understand that there is only so much you can do but there are times where you just need to call it quits on something. That being said building a brand and brand recognition is a tough task. I fully understand that developers do not want to do a new brand every time. With the way game design is these days often times you can not simply fit your entire "vision" into one project. Often times they will create these elaborate backstories and mythos behind a game and it would be a waste to do just one. Personally I feel like the best answer are those games that set themselves up to be a trilogy or what have you. I'm fine with developers re-releasing or making a new game based off of an old brand though and honestly it can be interesting to see how an old brand does in a new light.
  6. Well the Z and X series have a nice linear plot. Now Megaman ZX I get lost. EDIT:Ah so you be trollin' what no? I honestly didn't think there was a plot beyond Willy being a bad guy.
  7. Megaman plot? Never realized there was such a thing lol.

Medal of Honor is a lot like Modern warfare. That's about where the fps comparisons end. I know you've had this stupid argument before and I know that you hate fps games but they certainly aren't all the same. Well, unless you view "using a gun" as being the same. The JRPG comment ; no I'm not going to go get pictures. However every damn JRPG is pretty much the same [bleep]ing thing, right down to the angsty teenager lead role. I don't see the difference between JRPG's (hurr see I can do this too) and I don't see how people can look forward to them. Also playing dumb on purpose just makes you look dumb.

What a stupid argument. Would you rather me go get a bunch of pictures of JRPG's to prove a point?

deadpool addressing the player at the end, haha.
  11. Think about that statistically. Also remember that there are several kinds of Autism and varying degrees of it, the autistic boy my sister babysits now and then is really shy. Also I'll be honest, I never saw you to be the religious type y_guy.

The thing is Nintendo is actually targeting those 21-25 something year olds who grew up with the franchises. They are working off of nostalgia. Even ignoring the games for a moment the 3DS they showed off was more than impressive and was the entire reason I liked their conference (I honestly don't care about a lot of those Wii games save for Zelda/DK) Now if you want to talk about a company targeting 8 year olds look no further than Microsoft. Their entire Kinect showing was showing off these games that seem like no one above 12 would enjoy. "Oh, yay, I get to pet a fake tiger. Oh, a dancing game. Oh a sports collection, how novel.". The fact that Sony came out there and said stuff like "games like Killzone 3 and Heavy Rain will support the move" helped them a ton. The only really "game" that seems to support Kinect so far is Forza and even then they aren't sure exactly what they are doing with it. I will say I don't like how smug Nintendo is about their position and honestly after second thought I would probably place Sony's conference above Nintendo's. Nintendo seems to have this attitude of "hah yeah you guys think we couldn't do this but we totally did and we have a ton of money now so [bleep] you." There is a pretty strong rumor out there of $150 for the Kinect...

The thing about Valve is that they obviously want to use their steamworks for consoles. Microsoft has screwed them in the past not allowing them to do free DLC (see TF2) and generally just not being as open source as the PS3 is.

Yeah I saw that. Nintendo is going to make me buy another handheld dammit. What was the release date again?
  16. Nadril replied to Demoli's topic in Off-Topic
lol who is voting for microsoft? The big thing to think about is the steamworks integration for PS3. I'm wondering how it'll all play out.
  17. Nadril replied to Demoli's topic in Off-Topic
    I would say 1) Nintendo 2) Sony 3) EA 4) Microsoft 5) Ubisoft

The issue I have is that the only thing the PSP had over the DS was that it seriously outclassed it hardware wise. Now the 3DS is sporting Wii-quality graphics while keeping it's touch screen and dual screens. At least we're onto PS3 games now. e: LBP2 is pretty powerful.
