Level 99 Construction Rareness Not a Reflection of Difficulty?
Existent replied to 91soldin91's topic in General Discussion
It's a combination of cost, usefulness, speed, difficultly/afk(ness?), if it's members only or not, how old the skill is, and a few other things. Agility: ~15k with 99 Thief: ~26k with 99 Cost: Both skills cost very close to nothing. Usefulness: Both are very limited in their uses, I would say agility is a bit more useful but not much. Speed: Thief is a little over 3 times faster than Agility. Difficulty: Similar amount of clicking. Release: Thief is a couple months older but hardly makes a difference as it was nearly 10 years ago. They are very similar besides the fact that Thief is a lot faster, which made almost 2 times more people have 99 in the skill. Difficulty isn't really the only factor in how many people have it, I think construction just has everything 'bad' for it besides speed, it is relatively expensive, it's not afkable, it's not very useful, it's not that old of a skill, and it is members only. -
Suomi told me that he was planning on getting 200m thief or hunter last, although this could change because he said he takes things day by day. I'm pretty sure he is planning on killing crawlers for runecrafting after he finishes slayer.
-
Assuming no time for moneymaking(which is reasonable), yes. Only applies to slayer, rc and agility(no horn), though. Mining might be very boarderline, and you wouldn't get any melee and summoning xp by then. Austin, it's 3 mage tree runs per day, btw. Any idea on how high you have to value your time for cave crawlers to be better than training them "normally"?

It's actually more like 140k smith xp/h and 130 mage xp/h
-
If I remember correctly, he did a lot of 26/76king back in PvP and probably made a lot of money off of that.
-
975 gp/xp so about 39b for 40m con xp
-
I don't think he has a set number of hours lol. Based on his gains today it would be around 16 hours but I think that's more than average, looks like hes going for another hunt record, gl Foot if that's the case.

??? The "real" Zarfot is Zarfot The "new" Zarfot is Foot Zarfot and Foot are different people and were never said to be the same person. The reason people call him the "new Zarfot" is because Zarfot quit and Foot has a similar way of playing or at least you would think that from seeing their vids. I hope I'm not making a fool of myself and they really are the same person :P.

I just tried it out and it's about 2,520 strung/h or 230k xp/hr Profit was 25 gp/ea or 63k gp/h

Just a suggestion, you could start opening them in the low 90s where the xp would be slower. Either way you would get the same exp from the effigies, but you would spend less time training hunter. Edit: I'm pretty sure that draconic jadinkos aren't the fastest until about level 95, before level 95, hunting carrion and igneous jadinkos at the same time is a bit faster.

What are you talking about, you can use fire titans to heal in single combat.

lol, are you kidding? Summon and left click attack updates are good though. -
He is also planning on getting 500 before using them i'm pretty sure.

o He'd have to do at least ~19m summ xp on the same day to beat Drumgun Also 'a lv too low' will have the daily record eventually by using 20k zeal on attack He also has ~4.5m in dungeoneering tokens so he would only need 14.5m extra xp. He has 3.7m in geyser titans and 5.1m in steel titans banked. 4 hours to open effigies 5-6 hours to use charms ~14 more hours to gain the 5.7m xp needed, would be easy with wines/overloads/frost bones.

The last level didn't take as long as I thought it would. Best skill in the game :). Log for 2,272k slayer xp (using cannon/turmoil/overloads/steel titan everywhere possible) 20 Effigies 224 Gold charms (lol) 2,061 Green charms 2,509 Crimson charms 659 Blue charms .85 Summon:1 Slayer 40,954k in drops 22,170k in supplies used (not counting 143 overloads) 18,784,000 Profit -
Why do you recommend superheating iron over gold? Gold gives more smithing xp per superheat. Sorry, I shouldn't have specified which ores. I just meant superheating in general would be faster magic xp than high alching.
-
It's worth it unless you are slaying for profit only. I've used turmoil, cannon, overloads, and steel titan on every task I could for around 2m slayer xp and I've still made around 15m and the only "good" drops were 2 whips and 4 staffs of light. Note: I didn't include overloads as part of the cost because I already had them made from 99 herblore. Using extreme potions would be a lot cheaper and would do the job just as well. If you don't value herblore xp I wouldn't recommend using them as they would be the difference between breaking even and profiting a decent amount.

You can bury a lot more than 1k bones per hour, also bonecrusher would get some of that out of the way. Gravite weapons are available to use instead of rune scimitar. Fly fishing trout/salmon in barbarian village for fishing. Superheating iron would be a lot faster for magic than high alching.

Well at a multicombat cannon task you should be using a cls or maul to increase the cannon's accuracy, and a rapier would be worth it for this over whip anyway. Not true, for example rapier > cls at frosts, heck even void handcannon > void deflector + ccbow (63 ranged attack difference, but you also lose like 20% primary weapon dps). Just use a rapier or a whip. Now that's obviously single combat, but there is very little difference between the setups in terms of cannon xp/hr. Frost dragons aren't multicombat So? [/hide]So the cannon isn't doing as much of the work as it would be in a multicombat area like spectres or dagannoths. Go back and read what Quyneax said. She already said it was single combat. A cannon still does a lot of the work. Have you ever cannoned black demons in single combat? I can drop them much faster with a cannon than I can without. I'm saying that something like frost dragons shouldn't be compared to a task like dagannoths where, I assume, the cannon does a higher percentage of the work. There is a certain percent of work the cannon has to do for it to be worth it to give up the melee dps for the extra cannon accuracy. It may not be worth it at frost dragons but it still could be at dagannoths. Yes, I have cannoned quite a few black demons in single combat, probably about 1k in the past week.

It depends on the attack bonus of the style of attack you are using. For Example: If using magic, it depends on your magic attack bonus. If using stab, it depends on your stab attack bonus.

If they really are 850k xp/hr it would cost 11.74m an hour. 13.81 gp/xp if you want to calculate a lower xp rate.
