The official DT thread! :) In my opinion Dream Theater is an even better prog band than Rush! [hide=Background Info]Dream Theater is an American progressive metal band formed in 1985 under the name "Majesty" by John Myung, John Petrucci and Mike Portnoy while they attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, before they dropped out to support the band. Though a number of lineup changes followed, the three original members remain today along with James LaBrie and Jordan Rudess. Dream Theater has become a successful progressive rock band, despite the drop in popularity of the genre since the mid-1970s. Although the band has had a few successful hits (notably "Pull Me Under" in the early 1990s, which received extensive MTV rotation), they have mostly stayed underground for their career, feeding off support from their fans. The band is well known for the technical proficiency of its instrumentalists, who have won many awards from music instruction magazines. Dream Theater's members have collaborated with many other notable musicians. Guitarist John Petrucci has been named as the third player on the G3 tour six times, more than any other invited guitarist, following in the footsteps of Eric Johnson, Robert Fripp, and Yngwie Malmsteen. The band's highest selling album is the gold selling Images and Words (1992), which reached #61 on the Billboard 200 charts. Both the 1994 release Awake and their 2002 release Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence also entered the charts at #32 and #46 respectively and received mostly positive reviews. Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence also led to Dream Theater becoming the initial band reviewed in the Music Section of Entertainment Weekly during its opening week of release, despite the magazine generally preferring more mainstream music. In 2007, Systematic Chaos entered US Billboard 200 at #19. Dream Theater has sold over two million albums in the U.S., and over 8 million albums and DVDs worldwide.[/hide] [hide=List Of Albums]When Dream and Day Unite * Released: June 11, 1989 * Label: Mechanic * Format: CD, LP album, cassette 1992 Images and Words * Released: March 28, 1992 * Label: Atco * Format: CD, vinyl, cassette * RIAA cert.: Gold 1994 Awake * Released: October 4, 1994 * Label: Atlantic * Format: CD, cassette 1997 Falling into Infinity * Released: September 19, 1997 * Label: EastWest * Format: CD, cassette 1999 Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes from a Memory * Released: October 26, 1999 * Label: Elektra * Format: CD, vinyl, cassette 2002 Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence * Released: January 12, 2002 * Label: Elektra * Format: CD 2003 Train of Thought * Released: November 11, 2003 * Label: Elektra * Format: CD 2005 Octavarium * Released: June 7, 2005 * Label: Atlantic * Format: CD, vinyl 2007 Systematic Chaos * Released: June 4, 2007 * Label: Roadrunner * Format: CD, vinyl 2008 Greatest Hit (...and 21 Other Pretty Cool Songs) * Released: April 1, 2008 * Label: Rhino * Format: CD[/hide] Personally, my favorite song is "Never Enough" off of Octavarium.

  20. The stuff that goes on at my school is way to graphic for these forums tbh.
  21. No, i'm not a snitch.
  22. Why does this site even need popups? Don't the banner ads generate enough money? Some of the popups lead to dangerous sites and overall they are just annoying. Seriously, does anyone even click on them? My idea: Remove the popups, nothing good comes out of them. And yes, I do have a popup blocker, but that's not the point; the point is, Tip.It shouldn't have to resort to popups for revenue. Support/Hate?
  23. Get the 120GB. It makes you look rich, and it holds 120GBS.
  24. Hello, I was recently looking at this online, and I was wondering, would I be able to pop out my 20GB hard drive and pop in the 120GB on with no problems?
