  1. Surprised no one has posted this yet.
  2. Kurt Cobain (Nirvana)- Vocals John Petrucci (Dream Theater)-Lead Guitar Cliff Burton (Metallica) - Bass John Dolmayan (System Of A Down) - Drums Band name: Dream System Of A Metal Nirvana 8-)
  3. So, Nadril.. You excited bout "Panic Attack" being on there?
  4. Calm down, it was just a discussion  Nonetheless, I'll stop.
  5. That is completely irrelevant. We're talking about banning someone from a public forum. In this case, you should be lenient and open-minded when you're thinking of banning them for good. Considering these people were banned before the rollback, I think they've had their chances
  6. So it's ok to be lenient with a murderer? After all he did was take another persons' life, no need for the death penalty... (I'm using real life examples to make people better understand my point)
  7. The problem is a warning is too lenient :|
  8. Illegally downloading leaked albums, are we?
  9. Words mean nothing, they just want to say things like that so they can post with topic titles like "Wat R ur flaw?". Seriously, how can you people not see they can speak english just fine, they choose not to, because they want to start problems. What they are doing is immature, but it doesn't warrant a ban. I got an offical warning for posting A RickRoll, but they made several spam threads, did many multi-year bumps, their bumps did not even contribute to the topics, I mean how does that not warrant a temp ban?

  11. In all seriousness, by your posts you'd probably like NIN http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CssRB9Ebw1k
  12. You cannot expect everyone to memorize which threads are old just because you know them. Not everybody frequently reads the same threads you do or knows the same people. It would be ridiculous to punish users severily because they didn't realize a thread was old. It is very easy to distinguish between someone trolling and spamming old threads on purpose and someone who made a genuine mistake. Spammers are always dealt with but not if they do not continue with their actions after being asked to (like the user you pointed out). Wow, trip you basically beat my argument. I have not comeback to your statment  I'll get this thread locked.
  13. Oh ok, i'll just ignore it and let Tipit turn into 4Chan. Thanks for the help ;)
  14. In the meantime, what shall we do?
  15. I'd say that in most cases, the person who bumps an old thread doesn't realize it's against the rules (or that it's an old thread at all!!). How often do you really check dates on threads? I'd say most people don't. In fact, sometimes people reply to an old thread and then when they check back later, they realize "Oh oops, I didn't realize it was so old." So even the Staff did increase the punishment, it probably wouldn't do any good.. because most people don't know what the concequences are before bumping the thread. It's common sense most times, If I see a post by Bubsa, I automatically know that thread is old so I wouldn't bump, the rest of Tipit needs to learn that.
  16. Since that was only two cases, I personally wouldn't give the user anymore than a warning - if that. If the person stopped bumping posts after that, then it's no big deal. But sometimes people just need a reminder of the rules. And another thing that you have to realize is that you don't know what goes on behind-the-scenes. Whenever a user is warned/temporarily banned, there is not a huge message on their profile that says "THIS USER WAS WARNED ON [X DATE] FOR [X REASON]." Yes the same person bumped two threads, but two honestly isn't a big deal. If it were me, I'd probably wait until 3 or 4 before handing out a warning. And if this user you mentioned had CONTINUED bumping old threads after Lionheart's post asking him to stop, then his actions would merit further action. The problem is, multi-year bumping is too common, I could find a handful more threads of multi-year bumps that don't contribute.
  17. Explain these please. viewtopic.php?f=10&t=229086 viewtopic.php?f=10&t=241003 Notice how the same person bumped them..
  18. My main flaw is I flame people who troll on internet gaming forums.
  19. you like anything that disagrees with the christian religion right? then i recommend Cradle Of Filth, it's black/satanic metal.
  20. Lolcats? 0/10
  21. This is EXACTLY what I mean. Before I go on, I realise this is an announcement and my staff rank may be seen as an official Tip.It view. I want to say that is definitely NOT the case, and this is my personal opinion. But so what if they are? I agree with you when you say it's horrible to read. I too usually type in full prose, even on an IM service. It just seems natural to me. However, you have to realise most people don't attempt to write in perfect grammar while they're on the Internet. txt-speak has, whether you like it or not, become the social norm in how people communicate using the written word, and I'm not going to sit on my high horse and criticise others because they've missed out capital letters or punctuation when it's actually me in the minority who write in perfect grammar. All I ask is they attempt to put enough grammar to make the thread readable, and if people do genuinely have trouble reading what they're saying, that they go back and rewrite it instead of relying on a mod to clear up the mess, or replying with flames. If anything, I've found talking in txt-speak is actually more relaxing, which reduces tension, although obviously I'd still prefer to read good English. We've got to make Forum.Tip.It a generally more welcoming experience though, and flaming others for not using grammar is just a show of needless hostility, and could possibly even cause personal offence if the person in question suffers from dyslexia, or another learning disability. I REFUSE to let Tipit become a place where threads have titles like "Post ur fav cloths" And the original posters say things like "Ya mine is like a hoode and shots, dey r kewl", If let TheChamp and JB post stuff like that, soon will have to let more and more people doing it, after a while Tipit will be just like Myspace, 12 year olds posting topless picutres of Zac Effron say "Lol wat a cutie!"
