  1. Is getting Half-Life 1 worth $10 to get? I've played the second in entirety on the Orange Box, and I want to play the first but I'm not sure if it's worth it on my new computer (bit of a waste, ya'know?). If I can get it from a friend, does it have an activation code...?
  2. I sort of click my teeth with music, sometimes, if I'm in a place where I can't tap or handdrum along. Think Guitar Hero INSIDE MY MOUTH. Sort of hurts my jaw somethimes, I think... or not. I don't really like it. Also, if my lips are chapped or something, and there's hangnail sorta things on my lips, I sort of chew them off, further not being good for my lips. I need chapstick. That's all I can think of off the top of my head. There's probably more, I just can't think of them cuz they presumably aren't detrimental in any way.
  3. The Grand Bishop 36% Strength, 12% Bloodlust, 36% Intelligence, 44% Spirit, 16% Vitality and 36% Agility! Grand Bishops have almost no skills with weapons and they are the least physically powerful of all the classes. However, they are by no means the weakest class. In fact, Grand Bishops utilize some of the most powerful magic in world: the power to control time. By controlling time, Grand Bishops can change the course of events and defeat opponents that no other class could ever dream of defeating. Although Grand Bishops are supremely powerful spellcasters, they most often use their power for good rather than evil. Those who use their power for evil may abuse their power over time and fall into chaos and oblivion. Although time may be a powerful ally, it requires a great deal of energy and magic to manipulate, so Grand Bishops use this power sparingly. Instead, they more often use their mastery over light magic and the basic elements to battle their foes. Congratulations on reaching this high class! I'll admit, I feel a little badass. Also, the percentages don't add up to %100...
  4. Why not burn the game onto a DVD? Would that work? Or maybe figure out a way to actually download from the flash drive onto your Xbox?
  5. My house is already networked together, I didn't have to do anything but ask my dad how to connect them. Thanks, I'm all set now ^_^
  6. I did not know that this was possible. Thanks a ton!
  7. I'm trying to get my iTunes library over to my new computer, ideally without having to copy the entire thing to an External HDD via USB 1.0 and then copying it back. I've done what I normally do, which is enable hidden files and try to import them directly from my iPod, but this doesn't seem to be working anymore. Is there anything else I can do? Would copying the files from my iPod to my pc work? Also, songs I've gotten from friends that were authorized to play previously are now de-authorized. Is there anything I can do about that? I'm running iTunes 10, and an 80g iPod Classic from 2007. I'd prefer to not download any programs. Thanks!
  8. I use Win7, and in the second case it normally works it out itself, but if not, your headphones should be enabled and default in Playback, and your speakers should just be enabled. Plug in the headphones when you want to listen to them and you're golden. Ok, I completely forgot about headphone jacks in the speakers >.> But I need the microphone jack as well, so I suppose I can just plug in when I need to and such. Fairly obvious; my day has been pretty off >.> Thanks for the help!
  9. I want to set up my speakers so I can listen to Youtube or Music without headphones, but I also want to be able to solely use my headphones when playing games and such. How can I do this?
  10. Well, according to Google, A) MY COMPUTER IS INFECTED CLEAN NOW (fml. I think I'm good though.) and B) The problem can be solved by turning off multi-core processing under options. I've done that - I'll see how it works tomorrow when I have the time ^_^
  11. My drivers were installed yesterday >.> from the disc with the card though (Radeon HD 5770), so maybe there's new ones online. Where do I find them? Also, it just crashed on the first campaign (Dead Center, I think). Almost exactly 10 minutes in ¬_¬ I'd prefer not to reinstall if I don't have to. I know I can though.
  12. I recently got everything set up on the computer I built, and it runs very well and there doesn't seem to be any problems. However, when I play Left 4 Dead 2 my PC keeps closing the program after 10 minutes or so. It only started doing this today (as opposed to yesterday), but it's done it 3/3 times I've tried, so I figured I'd ask. I bought the game on a disc, and if it makes a difference, I've only been closed playing No Mercy map. The other map I played worked fine. I think it may be a Steam thing - I've heard Steam isn't always reliable. Thanks a bunch - all help is much appreciated.
  13. Ok thanks lol. I was completely unsure.
  14. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827151175 Does this drive Read and Write DVDs, or just write them? I bought it thinking it would Read, but then guessed that it didn't, and now I'm unsure. I need to know because I have drivers to install, but I don't if they'll be written over somehow. Also, the only other DVD drive doesn't seem to work (it's dated). Thanks!
  15. Nevermind, I got it working. Thanks though ^_^
  16. I bought and built my computer!!! Windows is already giving me trouble, however. I tried to install and got corrupted file messages, urging me to begin again, only to receive BOOTMGR error. I changed primary boot to the CD, but under the repair option, no OS shows up, leaving me clueless as to what to do. Help please thanks?
  17. Mr_Adam

    Today...

The Usual. Driver's Ed later, and gotta work on a physics project. Most importantly, apparently Asians have ginger fetishes, because the Chinese textbook at our school has a redhead for every white person (it's all drawn - idealism?) Confirm? I'd like to know if I could use this to my advantage...
  18. Thanks a lot ^_^ I have to review previous works towards then end of the class (late winter), and I'll be sure to take this into consideration when I look back to this. I've noticed I do tend to comma splice a bit often. And yes, the names were essentially ripped from a) Sandman by Neil Gaiman (Constantine) and b) Bioshock (Tenenbaum) - I had to force myself not to use Bridget. They worked though, lol. Also, I've finished my Island Short Story! Even if it's not my best overall, I'm very pleased with it. I don't think it will be posted, sorry to say. It's simply too long (12 full pages, mostly single spaced, and 5,996 words). I'll be sure to put up some other things, however.
  19. Whoa, we moved to the Library - I haven't been on the forum at all for few days. Anyway, I've began At the Mountains of Madness by Lovecraft. Picked up slow (my reading habits are all screwy nowadays) but I could barely put it down once I began to really read it. Also, I finished a short story for Creative Writing, but I doubt I'll post it. It's 12 full pages, single spaced, on Microsoft Word  I'm impressed with myself.
  20. I managed to get Windows 7 from my dad's office. Thanks for all the help, but this thread is no longer necessary.
  21. Well, my dad said he might be able to snag me Windows 7 at work... but no word on that yet. If I buy anything but OEM, will I be able to install Windows 7 on multiple computers?
  22. I saw this on the front page, and I think that I'll explain why I don't play anymore. Following the major upgrade to the Runescape engine, my computer can no longer run it smoothly. It's not enjoyable when it lags up every minute. Since I've stopped playing, I've sort of realized that I really don't mind so much. I kept up with updates for a small while, but now I only think back to RS as something very nostalgic, that was once a big part of my life. I'm getting a new computer soon, so who knows, I could end up online again. I never give out my passwords like that, just in case. But if I logged back on it would be purely for nostalgia, and to see if I've missed anything truly changing in the past year and a half or so. Or, alternatively, it's free and online =P
  23. I made the buy - 4 months of squirreling and saving to complete my goal of a new computer, to arrive in the next week ^_^ Unfortunately, some research into Windows 7 made me realize almost too late that the product I was going to buy would screw me over, so for now I'll be using 32bit xp - but windows 7 is an upgrade I'd like to make. Which Windows 7 product should I get so that I don't get screwed over by Microsoft? I want to be able to upgrade if that's something I decide to do, and I'd like to be able to be somewhat warranted on the pc I build myself. Thanks so much!
  24. If you're going to build your own, $500 to $600 won't get you far, from my amateur point of view. I'm buying my own build soon, and the price exploded to nearly $1000 after adding a monitor and Windows 7 (an extra $250 - $300 alone, from a $675 build). I would suggest buying something pre-built. I'm not sure how far you'll be able to get with it, and how set you'll be in terms of upgrades, but you'll know it works and it will definitely gt you by (and I assume it will play RS maxed, or close). Again, I'm really not the most experienced, but I hope I helped!
  25. How much are you looking to spend?
