Today...
Wow, I remember that from a topic years ago. Did we ever manage to FIND the Viking Porn? Yes we did. It involved pillaging, burning, and charging. And tons of dead goats, being sacrificed to Odin and Thor. There was even a poster made about it, let me see if I can find it. EDIT: EDIT2: On second thought, if you want to see it, PM me. I've only heard rumors of this thread / the "Ever Caught Them?" thread. Needless to say, in a purely curious way, I'm very interested in seeing Viking Porn. Yet... do I really want to?

Need Quick Injury Help
I understand what you're saying, but it's really just something small. I think it's a runner's injury, because I asked my runner friend and he knew right off the bat (although I failed to get an answer because we then got very busy at work and I forgot to ask as I left >_>)

Need Quick Injury Help
I have a pain on the bottom of my foot, at the arch just before the ball before the big toe (I hope that's clear enough). It comes even when I walk, in a pressure-type of pain. Anyway, I think it's a result of running in cleats for soccer, and a failing arch support in the shoe, or the fact that it isn't laced properly (I think it's less tight as a result, near the hurt area). How can I avoid this from continuing/getting worse? Would something like Dr. Scholl's be good to replace a failing arch support? Thanks!

Your first kiss.
Ugh. 8th grade, after grad dance at a fire back at someone's house. With a girl who liked me that year, and we went out for maybe a week - I was more or less peer-pressured into asking her out, despite me not being a girlfriend-y sort of guy. Anyway, I think she made a commitment to kiss me no matter what that year, so after an awful little chat and behind a frakkin' bush, we kissed. Barely. Don't get me wrong, she's nice and pretty (usually) (and, erm, her chest is nice). But it was awful for everyone.

Literature
I stopped reading the Divine Comedy, in the middle of Purgatorio. I realised that I wasn't liking reading it, and that I was only reading it to tell people that I was. But at least I got through Inferno, which is what I wanted to read most. Yesterday I read the entire Scott Pilgrim series. I enjoyed it heartily. Not sure what to read next, though...

Building My Own Computer
EDIT: I turned down the entire PC, but my friend is willing to sell in parts. Parts that stick out to me are the processor (AMD Phenom II 940 (compared to 925 suggested by OldJoe)) and maybe the motherboard, since the one suggested earlier (GIGABYTE something) seems to be out of stock on Newegg. I can't find the motherboard on Newegg though, it's a 750a XFX according to my friend. I'm not sure how to discuss prices tbh, I'm thinking around $200 for both? Would being used make a difference?

Building My Own Computer
How much do you think I could ask for it?

Building My Own Computer
Ok, I'm bumping this thread back to the front page rather than make a new topic. My friend has another friend who's also good with computers, and is selling his old build. Here's the general specs: CPU: AMD Phenom II 940 Processor (3.0GHz) GPU: Dual SLI BFG GTX 260's (2GB GDDR total) PSU: Kingwin 800w SLI ready RAM: 5GB DDR2 Motherboard: XFX SLI ready 750a HDD: 300GB Disc Drive: DVD RW and CD Burner Fan: Two 120mm fans My friend is asking $900 (no monitor included, but he's also selling a Westernhouse 22" for another $200) This was the info given to me. I'm not sure if it's worth it, or even if I need something that big, unless I can really get it for a steal. Help please and thanks!

Scott Pilgrim VS. The World
BEST MOVIE I'VE SEEN IN THEATERS IN A WHILE. SEE IT. OUR THEATER HAD MAYBE 10 PEOPLE AT 9:30. If you don't get it though, you're NOT going to like it. But if you do, you're going to love it TOO much. In it's element, it's a god.

Scott Pilgrim VS. The World
Going to see it in an hour. Hadn't heard of it before a few weeks ago, but it looks like something I would love too much. I'm excited, and then I think I'm gonna read the comics.

I really only like spirals.

Board Games/Card Games
Hm. Mostly I just play games on the spot at friends houses or in other social events - not so much with my family. I can't think of specifics that I like too much, but I DON'T like the game of Life. I always lose. Also, I used to be really into MTG, but then I stopped because I had no one to play with. Now I found a bunch of people who DO play, but they're all wicked good. Also, the newer sets are unbalanced compared to older sets (Like Mirrodin Artifacts vs. non-Mirrodin), so I'm screwed. So I gave it up again quick.

Literature
In my opinion, The Shining was his best horror novel. Dark Tower series was his best works overall, but The Shining was an amazing novel. Heh, to me, Stephen King seems like a pretentious ass-hat. I read the Dark Tower, and it dragged in the middle... but the seventh book was great.

You should really play the first. And Opposing force. ep2 will give you a little more info on the G-man but not much at all. It's more about just placing all the facts together from all the games. A) I don't have a computer that can run even the Original Half Life (well, it might be able to) lol, but I'm saving up for a new one. B) I'm not even allowed to play it (hence being 1:30am). My mom is against anything rated M (just because). C) RAVENHOLM FREAKED ME OUT AT ONE AM. I was walking through, thinking: "oh boy, time for more puzzles and a little shooting in a new locale!" Then I saw a mans lower half hung to a tree, and zombies everywhere :ohnoes: [/hide] Trust me, if you're on TIF, you can probably run HL1. Perhaps. my video card meets the minimum (16mb >_>) but it's integrated, so trying to process the game itself will probably slow it to a crawl. I have a laptop i could use it on though - maybe I'll look into it.

It's 1:30am, and I'm tired. But I'm SOOO close to beating Half-Life 2 >_> EDIT: Beat it, 10 minutes later. I haven't played the first one, so it was kind of lost to me at the beginning, but this was a really great game. Looking forward to playing Eps. 1 and 2 next, and then crying for the never release of 3. G-Man though, creepy guy. I think he's a robot. Or under mind control.
