You can't say that considering they give almost all their profits to people in need. Sorry, just not right. x.x I agree with Greenday. Wrote one good song, famous, then died o.o? AC/DC is too but not horrible music just screams a lot O.o Giving money to charity has nothing to do with being overrated. Just means they're good people. um even though i really do hate Greenday, they never died. They still are making songs the "mainstream" community enjoys. I don't get what your trying to say about AC/DC, but neither Brian Johnson or Bon Scott screams a lot.

May I ask why? I think it's going a bit too far for a band like RHCP to compare themselves with bands like the Beatles. You've got it all wrong. It's supposed to be a tribute. And anyway, RHCP are better than the Beatles! Yea, how'd you get the idea they were trying to compare themselves with the Beatles. but RHCP aren't even close to the Beatles. I hope you were being sarcastic.

What about Lynryd Skynryd? They had 9 members. And they were much better than Slipknot. and too the person above, what was the point of mentioning the list? a lot of bands usually have around 4 members.

Most people only know Deep Purple because of Smoke on the Water, a lot of them probably can't name 2 other songs, yet Deep Purple has so many good songs.

Yea. I don't think Deep Purple is underrated. They're very well known, highly rated. Barrett's solo work is underrated as well. Same as the first Floyd album (compared to other work). Yeah but people only know Deep Purple usually for "Smoke on the Water". And yea, early Pink Floyd was also underrated.

I agree. Ditto. They are best than 95% of the bands, but they aren't the gods of rock as people usually say. Deep Purple and The Who are much better, IMO. And people decide they love Led Zeppelin just by listening to Stairway to Heaven which pisses me off. And then people say they're the greatest and that guitar solo the best ever. But The Who and Led Zeppelin i think are around the same "calibur" but I don't really see Deep Purple being better than Zeppelin. Deep Purple though is highly underrated. isn't skills and talent the same thing? but the drummer, i think is joey jordison or something, is actually pretty talented. But i overall don't enjoy Slipknot.

no one was comparing Linkin Park and Blink 182. We all know that these two bands are clearly not the greatest american band, but these two said it so we're comparing the two people not the bands.

PurpleCrayon if you thought Linkin Park was a joke, this must be the funniest thing you've ever seen... Back it up then.. I don't see how LP have anything to do with Blink 182. If you read a few posts earlier, someone said Linkin Park was the best american band ever and purple crayon commented on that, now someone says this. :roll:
