so you're saying that saying old pc every 2 seconds is a protest? i don't think so. that's all i've seen of these protesters do, besides flame me. but i don't dare go to fally, my comp would crash.... but from the screenies i've seen, they are all spammers. there is one shot taken that shows all but 3 people saying "@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@". the rest of the comments were actually a good way to protest the update.

It's never a good thing to call other players scum-- Especially when they haven't done anything wrong :shame: Anyway, I quite like this update. I hated PC anyway (Yeah, that makes me biased. At least I can admit it!). the majority of accounts that are pure have bad attitudes, they must think because they're on a account seperate from their main, they can be offensive. which is bull, because most drop trade or transfer a different way over 1 million gp worth of stuff. add that to the fact that i have met many pures who think transferring items from their main to their pure is ok if they use 2 computers, they have earned the name scum.

although the cost would be little, you'd have to update each account in order for them to have more bank space. sure it wouldn't take long for one account, but there are over 10 million f2pers. the only other thing they would have to do is program new accounts to have that capability. so it's harder for the existing account. add it to the fact that jagex is a buisness, and they think of f2p as a way to attract customers, i don't think they'll do it.

what, you never seen rune pouch? I think you obviously didn't read. Explanation is in first post. this is because the xp for runecrafting is so low that they needed to put in more space for rune essence to speed leveling a bit. however, one inventory of logs can get you more xp than runecrafting gets in 30min.

hmmm, is it a one time payment? and how much is it? oh and java hasn't reached it's limit, indeed it's being constantly upgraded to put better stuff in, but those things will be beyond runescape's capabilities for a while. and runescape has the most advanced java version there is. mainly because no game this big has ever been put on java.

yeah, they did update it because when i went through the village a couple of days ago, it looked nothing like that.

-.- ads pay for each click because each ad isn't on there for a set amount of time, you can't pay for 15 minutes worth if the person is on that page for 5 seconds. and if you notice every time you go to a page the ad changes, even if it has been 2 seconds and it's the exact same page. add to that the fact that programs that pay you to click on ads and google have stated that the majority of money the ad makers pay is for the actual clicks and not the space, it's a fact. also, you can't compare TV and the internet because the owners of the site can track how many clicks an ad gets while on TV you have to trust the advertisers word. plus, the fact that an ad for a web page is randomly picked from the list of advertisers that have paid for their advertisement to be placed on the site, you aren't guarenteed any time at all. plus, some websites only charge a one time fee for ads to be placed while others only charge a weekly or monthly payment.

That takes away some of my respect in a cape. Why do you think Fletching and Cooking are so common and also hated? Mainly because anyone can do it and not even be at the computer. (I know someone will say then why don't you have 99 in both. In response, I would much rather go after a goal more challenging, and time consuming. Something that requires me to think every once and awhile what I am doing.) It took Tripsis a lot more work than it would take anyone that is too lazy to click the mouse. That makes Tripsis and the cape even more respectable than it was in the first place. Fun minigame? Stop lying to yourself. The void robes/mace/helmet isn't special. It just looks cool. you don't know what this person thinks. his opinions are his own, not yours. maybe he thinks the new pc is fun, i know i tried it and it was a little fun.

Help and Advice? Too nonspecific. Even if this is a fail-ish topic, it should be noted that these kind of open ended questions should not go into Help and Advise. It's not non specific. It's yes or no. Yes, they did go down, or no, the person feels they didn't. The person wants an answer to a question, and from what I see those topics usually go into help and advice. you can't get a definate answer from players, because luck changes person to person. just look at half keys. most people say loops are more common, yet the drop odds are equal.

Riots in rl never accomplish anything, its protests that do. For the record--I have this one account. uhhh, did you ever pay attention in history class? ever heard of martin luther king jr.? his protests never accomplished anything until some of his supporters got violent. the riots in france against the tyrants that took over after the french revolution. that accomplished something.

There's a simple solution for that, it's called do-not-visit-world-99-fally. Or even easier, turn-chat-to-off..................... :mrgreen: That riot really does not harm. And as I explained above, it's not futile, it's liberating for the people doing it. you can turn chat off, but that inconviences players who are having a conversation or want to see what other people besides the rioters are saying. and it still doesn't fix the lag.

You also need tactics to protect the knight. No one used to have to worry about it before because the portals would be down before he'd taken major damage, and since destroying a portal gave him more hitpoints, the little damage he took was negligible. Now you need to kill/distract monsters so they don't kill the knight, and at the same time destroy the portals once the shields go down, while still making sure the knight doesn't get killed. You can no longer distract any monsters not even Spinners you either have to ignore them and keep attack the portal or just have a low level do it or do it yourself. Before the update all tried to make sure that the Knight had sufficient hitpoints. I never join a 30 sec. clan so I don't know anything about killing portals before he dies. before this update, pretty much all games that didn't have an organised team only went for the portals, not giving a crap about whether the knight died or not. that's why they almost always lost. only one or two people protected the knight, the rest went after the portals. only problem is everyone in a random pc game was so weak that they couldn't kill the portals before the knight died.

then why post? :-s its always helpful to think before posting. because i'd like to take part in the conversation. yes, it is getting ridiculous. i saw a person in seer's bank today who was lvl three, his name was "new pc no rs". seriously, it's just too ridiculous. riots are pointless, they accomplish nothing but piss off jagex. and the people who are trying to do something in the place the people are rioting.

anyone who trys to push you to do it is gonna steal from you. a true friend wouldn't care if you don't want to give them something because you don't trust them enough, they try to become closer friends with you to build up that trust.

This is not a riot, this is a protest there's a difference. As for Tip.its home world, no offense but not a huge amount of people that I know pay attention to that. This was also in world 70 something. No, I didn't participate in the PROTEST, but anyone who did should not be ashamed. It is the silly people who just used this as an excuse to spam the chat who should be ashamed. All of the @@@@@@@@@@@ and such should not be tolerated and deserves mutes. The things like "we pay, we have a say, old pc or free to play!!!" are perfectly legit. Loud and proud man. And yes, the forums are a great tool. Quick find code: 24-25-393-47843903 for those who care. : the problem is the majority of people who don't only do pc on their pures to train actually like the update. it made the game fun again. most of the community actually likes the update, so the arguement that we pay so we have a say is rubbish. and rioting dooes nothing except spam the chat box, what do you actually hope to accomplish by rioting? that only gives jagex more reason not to do anything to the update. and fixing the update would be a huge financial loss for jagex, as tweaking anything in a mini game takes a lot of time and programming, and completely revamping it like this probably took them 5 months. they were only able to release it after the game engine update. so there's no reason for jagex to change it.

problem is runescape can't handle these types oof things. i don't know about the clan chat thing, before the engine update it was impossible but with the update i don't know, i haven't seen what jagex can do with the game now. but runescape's graphics can't handle anything better than the current specials, and your comparing these two games is pretty unrealistic, java can't handle anything close to what that game can, and even that's not good as far as some other games go. these are sme good ideas, but runescape just can't handle them. sorry. EDIT: that game looks pretty cool, where can i buy it, how much, and how much is a subscription fee? if it's cheap i'll beg my parents to buy it.
