Who is your favorite Runescape character?
Non-player character, of course. ;) I've always liked Azzanadra. Zaros' champion, all-powerful Mahjarrat, etc.

07-Oct-2010 - Postbag from the Heim + Chaos Elemental Riddles
Kind of an interesting postbag. I laughed a couple times. Sad that my favorite character in all of Runescape (Azzanadra) didn't really reveal anything too amazing, though it's interesting that he has no idea what Bilrach is up to (which makes sense).

Correction, theres currently a noticable correlation between requirements of quest and difficulty. Difficult quests can be made without excessive requirements, and it would be the exact same quest, requirements or no. Excessive requirements don't actually add to difficulty of the quest in any way. Though, overcoming the hours of boredom thrown on beforehand may be the issue here. (Grind is not the best way to add difficulty, as i've already discussed). I see no reason why the rewards can't have high requirements. I.E all fired up. And frankly im bored of having to grind to do new quests. If you actually enjoy the skill, you don't need the quest requirement to encourage you to skill, you will do it anyway. If you don't enjoy the skill, then all the requirements are doing is forcing you through something you don't like. I can always hope that jagex doesn't get to this point just to please high levels. You see, our opinions are opposite, so this argument is going nowhere. However, I find it sad that you're so adamantly against releasing content for everyone, and not just low levels. It seems like a very negative and selfish thing to want. Dan, LOL at you for trying to discredit Bladewing because he's concise.

06-Oct-2010 - The Void Stares Back
I just threw everything but the champion at them, then used the champion to finish the job. Easy. I'm at the queen right now, but really don't feel like doing it.

Okay I'm completely over it. I was just being paranoid last night but I realized something that made me feel much better. But still, [bleep] women (as in they suck and they're for [bleep]ing). Wow that came out sexual either way. Cool.

1. There's a direct correlation between the requirements of a quest and how "difficult" it is. 2. The rewards would undoubtedly be amazing for quests with such high requirements and of such difficulty. 3. It gives people something to work for. Back when I was questing hardcore, I relished leveling my skills because I wanted to complete every quest. Frankly, I'm bored of not having to train to do new quests. Regardless of any of that, requirements in the 90s are inevitable. It won't happen soon, but it will happen. It makes sense, as many posters have mentioned, that a quester would have to be a master of various skills to help everyone. This is why this argument is pointless: it will happen regardless of whether or not you want it.

Wrong. No one's arguing that high skill requirements should implemented for the sake of exclusivity. Though I do agree that this argument is idiotic.

200 hours of fishing.
Its only borderline relevant to the discussion, and as both you and i have acknowledged, its impossible to prove either way. I'll ask you once again, do you think a 97 fishing requirement would make the game funner to play? Thats my primary argument here, and seeing as this is a game fun should be the primary concern (and not the e-peen of high level players). I've acknowledged it? You'll have to post proof of that, too. Yes, a 97 fishing requirement would be fun. There are two reasons: 1. It gives me a reason to get 97 fishing. 2. A quest with 97 fishing requirement would have an insanely good reward, which is incentive enough. That said, why fishing of all skills? Why not 93 cooking, 88 smithing, 91 mining, 95 slayer, 93 dungeoneering, etc? What's your obsession with fishing and using it as an example?

No, it doesn't. 80 magic is low and very easy to get. There are very few skills that are actually somewhat difficult to get to 80, and those are slayer, runecrafting, agility, and mining.

Further proof that there are people out there who don't mind training fishing. Amazing!

If anything, your argument is the one shafting the low level players, by excluding content from them until they excessively grind to X level for Y requirement. Uh, obviously. This is Runescape. You have to gain levels to get stuff.

Hopefully jagex never releases 90+ quest requirements just so the high levels can feel special. Lol, resorting to the "yer a high level so [bleep] you" argument? I think we can see where this is going.

200 hours of fishing.
You mean the discussion where your entire argument was based on the "fact" that no one likes fishing, therefore quest requirements for any skill should never reach into the 90s? Yeah, looks like you lost that one.

Don't worry, Sir Kurity - when quests with 90+ requirements start popping up in the next couple years, I'm sure there'll be plenty of quest summaries for you to read.
