Love nostalgia. Always raises the question - WAS it actually better/more fun/more whatever back then, or is it just nostalgia speaking? Like, remember good things, forget bad things, and people remembering things a lot more fondly once it's a memory, and not an active experience. Did it look better? No. Was there more to do? No. Was it more dangerous? Hell yes. Was it more paranoia-inducing? Hell yes. I miss the danger and the sense of foreboding. I'm not a nostalgic person, really.

There's only three things that could be remotely fun in F2P: PKing, FoG, and dungeoneering. Choose wisely.

I definitely agree that the wilderness seems much less . . . threatening . . . these days. There's landmarks everywhere so you're never lost, there's nothing really scary (lol rev dragons, yeah right), and there's no paranoia. I used to hate the wilderness because I was always worried about being PK'd. When I saw a white dot, I'd immediately run away and hide. Good times.

Everyone has satisfaction when grinding to reach a specific goal. Even me. However, EXCESSIVE grinding (50+ hours) with no goal in sight is not good game design. Then don't do the quest when/if it comes out. The fact is, a lot of people plan on getting 99 in everything, and like to have landmarks to hit on the way. If you don't think getting your stats high enough for something very difficult and high level is worth it, DON'T, but don't oppose such updates just because you aren't ready to work for them yet. It'd be better for the game in general if they go toward high-level reqs slowly, as opposed to tomorrow going "OHAI NEW QUEST WITH 97 RC REQ LOLOLOL." As has been said multiple times.

What dungeoneering armor set (full celestial, full primal, full gorgonite, full spiritbloom, etc, etc) would you want most in the overworld ("real Runescape")? Exclude weapons. By armor set, I mean helmet, plate, legs, gloves, and boots of the same material. I'm not asking you to list your current or ideal binds. 1. Which one would you want based entirely on stats? 2. Which one would you want based entirely on looks? Credit to Grimy Bunyip for coming up with this question. ;) As far as utility, it's between Sagittarian and Primal, but I think Primal might be more useful for more things. For looks, definitely Sagittarian.

Some 99s are worth it, some aren't. Some skills actually have a use at 99 because of dungeoneering, but even that's debatable. In my opinion, there's no point in getting a 99 like woodcutting unless you really like it or you're trying to max total. The only 99s that are really useful are combat 99s and dungeoneering (for the weapons).

Well, with full penance, I can always find pro teams in world 6 instantly, even without the clan. It would just be nice to have even better teams. ;)

I know there are a few BA clans out there. BAA is the one I can think of off the top of my head. I know they regularly have races to see who can do what the fastest. Like, full 10 waves the fastest (17 minutes and change), fastest queen round(like 3.5 mins), and other things. They probably have horn filling races as well. Those people can be counted on to finish everything with you. Only problem with BAA is that they're invite only. <_< Been trying to get in for a long time. I even learned from and played with a bunch of members, and they never invited me. Jerks.

No doubt it is a ton of xp per hour more then the latter, but how much did all that cost? I think full slayer helm torags whip+defender,glory, supers + (optional:piety, or using clarity of thought/burst of strength) is efficient enough. There was a turmoil, overloads, yak, rapier guy slaying next to me and I was still killing at 2/3rd the speed he was. (oh yea he was 138 im 113 as well) For boss fights its invaluable for training you dont need best in slot gear to be good. So its still not objectively the most efficient as theres a huge upfront cost in time and money that simply might be overkill for the training, not to mention the hourly cost (200k for the rapier, more for the overload pot, and prayer pots *all slayers should cannon if they have cannonballs so thats not in the elite vs not*) its like a lvl 100 taking super pots for goblins, sure you can argue it allows you to kill them .43423423 of a second faster but its not worth it. You break even slaying the way Bladewing described while increasing your exp/h significantly. Seems like a good trade off. Also, I think killing stuff faster is more fun, personally.
