  1. Yeah, I don't really like all the pictures. :| So Trey and I did a sort of experiment today. He went out and bought a can of Pepsi and I bought a bottle of Coke. Trey is a Coke man. I'm a Pepsi man. We took this step of faith so that we could end our ceaseless fighting over which is better. My Coke, taken by my horrible camera phone that makes everything in this picture look warped: [hide][/hide] Trey's Dutch Pepsi: [hide][/hide] So here's a few of the conclusions we came to: - Pepsi is more crisp than Coke. - Coke is sweeter than Pepsi. - Pepsi tastes more like a "light" soda than Coke; it's less substantial, so to speak. I like Pepsi for the same reasons Trey dislikes it, and likewise, Trey likes Coke for the same reasons I dislike it. I have a newfound respect for my friend, and I feel that we are closer as a result of the selflessness that each of us displayed in trying to understand each other's preferences in fizzy, corn syrupy beverages.

I went to concerts nearly every weekend from ages 13 to 17 (mostly metal bands and some 80s bands that my dad loves). The last concert I went to was Cynic, Meshuggah, and The Faceless in February last year (was it last year?). It was amazing. My best friend and I got there six hours early and we met every member of Cynic and Meshuggah. We actually hung out with Paul Masvidal for a good 45 minutes and I exchanged emails with him for months after that. We also had a pretty long conversation with Marten from Meshuggah. He's very, very talkative, which is funny. The concert itself was just . . . wow. No-one cares about The Faceless, so I'll skip that part. Cynic went up on stage, and we were right at the front. They were totally calm and looked like they absolutely loved playing their music for us, and the audience responded in turn. It definitely felt like musicians playing for musicians. Then Meshuggah went up, and the atmosphere completely changed. They started with Pravus and there were these two gigantic lights on either side of the drumkit, pointed right at the audience. Every time Tomas hit the snare, the lights flashed and blinded us. That, coupled with the six foot tall singer standing in front of us with his arms outstretched, looking like Satan incarnate and the audience EXPLODING right when they started playing pretty much made it the best concert I'd ever seen, ever. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oy2x-gUjiM8
  3. With your combat stats, I really don't think you'll be making any money from TDs any time soon, honestly. They're bad even for maxed 138s unless you really want effigies and cbf camping cave crawlers.
  4. Out of curiosity, gonna use DGS when you're 70 dg? ;)
  5. Anyway, STORY TIME. So I picked up Kelsey last night (found her house right away this time) and I actually went inside and met her mom and sister. OH BOY! So we drove up to this movie theater that NO ONE goes to, ever, and we saw Insidious. We were the only ones in the theater. Just like last time, we were pretty much talking, flirting, joking, and kissing while we waited for the movie, and even during the movie. The movie itself was pretty decent. Some of the imagery reminded me of House of a Thousand Corpses, which I like. There was only a couple parts that I didn't like (the ending included, pfsh). So the movie ended and we sat in the theater making out for like 10 minutes, then the janitor walked in so we ggs'd out of there and back to my truck. My best friend had told me earlier that day that he was having a barbecue, so I called him to see what house it was at, and I told him we'd head down there. Kelsey, however, did not want to go. She said she wanted to do something fun, with me, but not that kind of fun. WHAT. It was the first time I saw that typical girl [cabbage] from her, but we ended up swinging by my house. Five minutes after we got there, my brother comes home. D'oh! We left, went back up to her house, and we sat in my truck a street over and made out for what seemed like a long time, and I started moving into foreign territory (read: her chest area), which she did not object to, but I kept my hand in check anyway; I don't feel the need to move too quickly with this girl. Anyway, after awhile she said she had to go, so I walked her to the door, we said our goodnights, and I left. My mouth literally felt numb afterwards. Every time I looked at her she kissed me or hinted that I should kiss her. Not that I mind. I've always been a sucker for girls who give me tons of attention. I'm hanging out with her again tonight. I have no clue what we're gonna do, though. The city I live in is notorious for having nothing to do, ever. We'll see. EDIT: Oh, and not much Runescape lately. I'm still looking for a job like my life depends on it (funny, 'cause it really does). Gwyn, Nick, and Physics are definitely gonna pass me and get 120 before me. :(
  6. Hand cannons are more expensive, rubies are useless, diamonds/rune are bad without a chaotic crossbow and are worse than Karil's.
  7. I've been on ONE date my entire life. ...I should just become an hero. It's exactly what Green said: going out with girls is just a matter of confidence (and there's no difference between false confidence and real confidence). Though having a good sense of style helps.
  8. Ozan has a quiver. I've wanted a quiver for years. [bleep] you, Jagex.
  9. On a completely unrelated note, Platebeard is now a moderator (gold star) in the clan chat. Woe unto those who incur his wrath.
  10. because you're active enough to know what is really going on in floors? He is, actually. Him and I typically play at the same time (we're both in California and we both play very late at night).
  11. Just so everyone's aware, this guy is not in DGS. ^
  12. THAT'S A SAGITTARIAN LONGBOW, IDIOT.
  13. Obt's gonna father a legion of children, first around the LA/SD area, then throughout the rest of the US west, then around the world. The only indicator will be their unbelievable good looks and incredible ukulele talent. These children will eventually continue the cycle, until the world is ruled by a legion of attractive musical supermen. Then, the world will end, for completely unrelated reasons. Source: http://www.Science.edu/obtauriandoomsday.pdf. I [bleep]ing lol'd so hard. You made my day.
  14. NEIN! Only one now! I'm gonna try to be nicer than I was last time I went on a dating spree.
  15. I'm reposting this on the second page for visibility. [bleep] yeah, advertisement!
  16. My life is a make-out session with musical accompaniment.
  17. STORY TIME. So I went out with Kelsey for the third night in a row. I got lost trying to find her house, as it's in this crazy hilly wooded area with no signs or addresses to speak of. FML. But I finally made it, picked her up, and we went up to this park that overlooks the whole city. I brought my guitar, too; no girl can resist a good serenade. Right from the get-go she had her arm around me and this night was definitely much more comfortable for us than the previous two. This is especially important for me, as I tend to be a body language type of person. I played two songs for her (my songs) and told her I'd play a couple more every time we go out from then on. Can't exhaust my favorite medium for showing off so soon. ;) It started to get pretty cold, and neither of us had jackets, so we got all cuddled up, and the kissing and flirting began. She's a good kisser. It never got intense, exactly, but it definitely felt like she was trying to hold back. She's a pretty clever flirter, which I like. We kinda just talked, made out, and cuddled up for awhile. Then she said she had to go home, and really, so did I (I've been having to wake up extremely early most days for the past few weeks). So we got to my truck, made out again, and left; this time she moved over and sat next to me, holding my hand, etc. It was cute. We got to her house, made out in my truck s'more (that's 'some more', har har har) and I finally walked her to the door where we said our goodbyes (via making out, etc). She asked me to call her tomorrow. I think I will. I totally went into this expecting the same ol' thing I get with every girl, but I'm pleasantly surprised. It's only been three days and I'm starting to like her a lot, and I'm really curious to see where this goes. I no longer have any desire to chat up multiple girls. There doesn't seem to be a need for it at this point.
  18. The Wheel of Time series. I'm on book ten. I've always been an 'epic fantasy' junkie (LOTR, The Golden Compass, Harry Potter, The Transall Saga), and this is by and far the best series of that genre I've ever read, if not the best book series I've ever read period.

Then I would compare it to a proselyte top, not a barrows top. In any case, OP has a torso, so that's what I compared it to.
  20. Obtaurian replied to lzzy's topic in Help and Advice
No, I said torso because OP has a torso.

Bandos should be the very last thing you buy. A zerker ring provides the same strength bonus for 1/4 the price, and a fury is a bigger improvement over a glory than a BCP is over a torso (which it almost isn't).

Someday I'm going open up a Word document, save that post, and actually have it at hand to post when I need it. But not today. Not today . . .
  23. Obtaurian replied to lzzy's topic in Help and Advice
Berserker ring is much better. It should be your next big purchase.
  24. Obtaurian replied to lzzy's topic in Help and Advice
Get a zerker ring, then a fury as soon as possible. Both of those items are much more important than Bandos. If you have a fire cape, use that in place of the soul wars cape. This is assuming you're using piety/turmoil, right? If not, you should be - it's minimal cost for huge gain.
