I think there's only ever two people in the IRC channel - Michael and DrCujo, who is a former ranked keyer. Anyway, just so everyone knows, I'm F2P till Thursday or Friday. I'll have time to update the wingman section of the guidelines on Monday.

It's likely that the Moon Clan used it in a very different way. Lucien seems to use it in different ways, too. I'm sure if our characters spent more time using it and studying it, we'd be much more badass than the one time we touched it briefly.

Isn't Zezima married and working? I can't really see him ever coming close to the top 15 again.

I'm not quite sure what you enjoy doing, but you could always start collecting end-game gear so you can MH later.

Those are keyer and DPS medals which can be found on Grimy's forum. My medal means that I keyed a sub-18 minute warped floor, the black ring around the middle denoting that I died in that floor. The DPS medals have a primal helm symbol and require that the player receive both berserker and battle-mage/sharpshooter during a floor. EDIT: I made some changes to the guidelines for added clarity: - Added a disclaimer below the DGS clan page link to put an end to Tipiters thinking they can't join. - Added a recruit rank description to the ranks section. It was previously under rules. - Added links to the tip.it profiles of every mod/admin in the clan chat (except for Princess Rykudo who doesn't have a tip.it account). This should make it easier to contact any of us if there's a problem. I'll be completely rewriting the wingman section at some point today. I've only had one healthy relationship, and it went downhill after about two years (was 2.5 years). Relationships are okay.

I've never been able to get into Dream Theater, particularly because John Petrucci just sounds like he's playing scales he found on all-guitar-scales.com (probably not a real website) REALLY REALLY fast and Mike Portnoy is an extremely boring drummer (which is amazing, 'cause it's hard to make odd time signatures sound boring). Now that Mangini has replaced Portnoy, I'm a little more hopeful. The drumming will be the focal point of the band from now on. They're all amazing musicians, technically, but holy [cabbage] do they write boring music. I'll take Animals As Leaders or Cynic over them any day.

As some of you may have noticed, Rocked is now a bronze key in the clan chat. The "head keyer" rank (which was a silly name) has been re-dubbed the "leader" rank, which belongs to Grimy and Rocked. It's typically the case that Grimy deals with the technical and metagaming aspects of DGS, so Rocked will be joining him in that area. For those who don't know, both Grimy and Rocked are able to issue bans and promote ranks (keyers/wingmen/mods). Rocked will also be much more involved in all of the boring administrative stuff, including decisions on guideline changes. For his first task, we've asked him to pick 30 people to perm ban from DGS, so he'll be doing that over the next few days. :) Just kidding.

I find dungeoneering to be very fun. I used to do a lot more boss hunting, but most of it feels too stale and repetitive compared to dungeoneering. Granted, I have yet to try Nex. Anyway, I would recommend going for 99 slayer, then 120 dungeoneering. You'll have no shortage of end-game material there (slayer is debatable, but it'll get you near maxed combat stats).

So I've pretty much been spending the past week with my girlfriend. Every. Single. Day. At first I was a bit wary of getting into a relationship so fast, and I wasn't totally sure if I liked her enough or knew her well enough to want a relationship with her (I'm impulsive, I know). But . . . I definitely like her now. I don't know if it'll last that long, but right now I'm happy being with her. She doesn't seem to be emotionally unstable/insecure (after Kayla, I refuse to ever date a psychotic woman again). I don't know if this is the same for other guys, but I really like when a girl dresses well, which Kelsey does. She also works out and eats healthy, which is another huge plus. And the sex is great. Obviously a plus. I'm still looking for a job, but I just applied at this very fancy, historically significant hotel in my city. I'm hopeful for that. I spend the vast majority of my time job-hunting in a city that has one of the highest unemployment rates in the country. FUN FUN FUN ON FRIDAY! My P2P runs out tonight and I'm not sure when I'll be able to renew. I'm very close to 117 dungeoneering and I'm slowly working on 99 crafting, but I really haven't had much time to 'Scape between job-hunting and Kelsey. Oh well. I'm supposed to register for classes in a few days, but without money I'm not sure how that'll pan out. We'll see. My educational future is looking bleak. Now would be a great time to win the lottery.

Get void first. It's an armor set that will be extremely useful in the future for most things. Don't use void for bursting, though.

Why do people avoid trio? So when I get to say, floor 40 I'm better off soloing the high 30's? Trio has the most KO potential of any boss. If the mage and ranger decide to target you at the same time, you're dead unless you have tons of food and get lucky (they both hit over 700). I would just try to find a team anyway. They're less common, but people still do them.

30-35 is pretty common, but you might have some trouble with low occults like 36. Most people try to avoid trio.

You should be using a prom 2h, which is easily acquired. You will not be allowed to use DGS without the proper binds/rings, sorry. It's not like emp earth staffs are difficult to make, and upgrading your ring will help your perm team if you decide that DGS isn't for you.
