Dungeonsweepers (DGS) - Huge changes; read first post.
Isn't asking what was wrong with the binds suggested by Fire_R_A_G_E is a Dungeoneering question? Please stop attempting to continue this discussion. Everything was answered and settled, and Fire_Rage is discussing this with us in private. You can PM me if you want to argue about anything (I enjoy politics, dungeoneering, and men's fashion).

Once again I'd like to remind everyone to not spam or post anything that isn't somewhat related to H&A. Level-up pictures shouldn't be posted unless they're of getting 120. @ Articultural: Grimy deals with everything bind-related in DGS. Fire_Rage does not, and considering that Fire_Rage often posts sub-par advice in H&A and has posted sub-par advice in this thread, we would all prefer that he left the questions alone. At the very least, he should do so as a courtesy to us, as we've spent quite a lot of time answering his endless barrage of questions and trying to help him out with his phobia of online social interaction.

Dungeoneering for a newbie
It'd be better to describe "rushing" as being standard dungeoneering, and a better definition would be that it means completing the floor as fast as possible while still being efficient.

This, and to add to it, sometimes the spam posts bury the legitimate questions, which is a real problem. Try not to post random pictures or information that doesn't really contribute to the thread. If you want, use my blog to post random floor pictures and stuff, but we'd prefer to keep this thread as clean as possible. Thanks.

Sniper ring class
It doesn't matter because desperado is better, but . . . It's a straight 40% chance of hitting your max. At t10 it's 50%, meaning you hit your max half the time. All of the hexes in DGS used sniper extensively before desperado was fixed.

I was in the chat for about an hour earlier today while you were, and I saw a plethora of abandoneds, low occults, and high occults come and go, and you never spoke up. Not to mention the fact that you didn't start your own floor, which would make more sense considering you want to be a keyer. I even told you to start a floor while we were in the chat. Please stop making excuses.

It's very slightly better exp for all of two floors. Not worth it.

wtf is my blog doing that far down on this page.

Rows are always more efficient. Stopping between each floor is a huge waste of time, so doing 45-47 multiple times is the best exp/h.

Could you please stop posting and asking for Toad, asking if someone can help you key, etc? Just use clan chat and start keying. How many times have you actually used DGS since you started requesting a wingman on the thread?

What if Jagex changed the rules and permitted botting?
Maybe I'm weird, but I like fm. At least, I don't find it as bad as some people say. FMing doesn't bother me as much as say, agility, but only because I find it vaguely amusing to make shapes and patterns without losing time.
-
What if Jagex changed the rules and permitted botting?
Nah, I'd have my bot running while I was busy with IRL, then I'd come home and dungeoneer and reap the benefits without any of the pain. Because honestly, a lot of skills are just painful. I want to have fun, not click on agility course obstacles for hours and hours.
-
What if Jagex changed the rules and permitted botting?
I'd do exactly this, and for the purpose of having good keyer stats for dungeoneering, which is one of the only activities I truly enjoy in Runescape. I'm a combat nerd, so skilling has never appealed to me or my sense of achievement.

Just to let everyone know, DGS passed 3b total dungeoneering experience today.

@ Zodiark, Tipsi, and Litterbug: Everyone should be picking up every non-rejuv herb (unless it's appropriate to do so) always, without exception. It's good to pickup some seconds and to have a couple filled vials handy, and in general the team should almost never have to actually farm for a door. Always keep in mind, too, that potion doors are not high-priority unless you get boss early or something, so gating a pot door and doing it later isn't inefficient depending on the situation. In regards to inventory space, a single person should NOT be making potions, making ragers, AND making dino armor. That's ridiculous. Drop the dino armor and start dropping herbs for other people to hold. Also keep in mind that three ores is the most efficient number, so if you're running around with six prom and ten herbs and some seconds and vials, you're doing something very wrong. Just try to be smart about prioritizing your actions. Doing too much at once is not efficient. Also, warped floors are pretty easy. I die more on occult floors than anything else. If you're dying a lot, Tipsi, you need to figure out why so you can change your strategy and start dying less.

It's tried by everyone who gets unlucky with hood drops, including myself. Jettrider lost his hood in a bind crash and suicided around 14m exp to get it back. He told me on more than one occasion that it was miserable. You also have to consider that in teams with four hoods and one non-hood, you will be RAPED in every room. Every single monster will target you, and your sagi body does not stop rangers and warriors in the slightest. People who suicide 24/7 don't necessarily need hoods, but for everyone else, it's a requirement.

And making your team clear mimes and other rooms that you can't do because every monster and their mother wants to kill you. Dying less requires practice. Breaking the best defensive item in dungeoneering for a less useful item is not the way to go.

Micro Transactions vs. Bots...
I honestly wouldn't care either way. Bots don't annoy me. RWT or micro-transactions don't annoy me. Jagex is already moving towards the latter, so I can only assume that eventually we'll have both and be truly [bleep]ed. If Jagex started selling items and GP for $$$ and it made them enough money to improve their game, cool, but I think that's an extremely optimistic outlook that is fundamentally delusional if you consider how bad most Jagex developers are to begin with. I don't know if I want Mod Raven to be paid more money to make content that's just as [developmentally delayed]ed, for example.

effective use of chaotic long
You don't have the stats to effectively boss hunt. You'd be better off getting a rapier, using it to max combat through slayer or something, then dungeoneering for a CLS and other chaotics. Rapier is best for Kril, CLS is best for Graar, rapier is best for barrows.
-
effective use of chaotic long
Actually, your stats would have to be significantly lower for a CLS to be better than a whip in any situation in which you'd have to make the choice (which means every situation with the possible exception of safe PVP). If your goal is to slay or do any sort of melee training, a rapier would be much better than both a CLS and a whip, and would only get better over time. The CLS is a niche weapon with very few applications, and it's especially not worth buying at your stats.
