So yesterday a friend was over and we stumbled upon an old model rocket. We decided it would be fun to put 2 of the engines in it. The rocket: So we launched it with 2 engines, and it went pretty well: The only problem was we lost the top cone part, and the tail part with the fins on it broke in two. No problem, we had duct tape and a staple gun! We got everything back in place, taped it up, found a new cone, then tried it with FOUR engines because two was such a success. We had engineered it perfectly, what could go wrong? Apparently, this. No one was hurt, the only damage was a burn mark on the grass in the field, some black snow, and this:

I've seen it go either way. I've known people who say they're boyfriend and girlfriend for 3 months without doing more than hugging and holding hands, and I've known people who've had sex and don't call each other boyfriend and girlfriend. Honestly, I'd only call someone my girlfriend after 1 or 2 dates, and some kissing. Simply because I hug, hold hands with, and do all that other stuff with my female friends quite often.

The correct way to refer to your friend would simply be friend, or female friend. No idea about the qotd though :P

Yeah I know Israel has mandatory service. A Russian friend of mine says they have mandatory service in Russia too. I know in the USA all males have to apply for selective service, but no mandatory military service (unless there's a draft)

When would you say war is the answer? Out of curiosity It's kinda funny every time I post a topic online I am surprised by how many people agree with the views that you never hear about. I wonder on how many issues my view of the balance of opinions is distorted. Well when an unstable, aggressive government regime takes over a country, and are posing a very serious threat, and when you ask them to resolve it peacefully and they just give you the finger. Then, I'd say going to war is justified rather than just waiting for them to invade. For example, 1930-1940's Germany. Nazi regime takes over, starts building a large military, everyone says stop building a military. They don't stop. Countries say well fine, you can have the military but don't use it. German troops invade Poland. I think that's a fine time to go to war, because it's pretty obvious at that point that peaceful negotiation isn't going to work.

Will mankind ever be rid of war? I highly doubt it. As you said, combat and violence seems to be natural for us, and there will not always be a peaceful way to resolve things. Is war good/bad/neither? I think war is a necessary evil. It would be great to not have many soldiers die, but think of all the technological and other benefits that have come because of wars. Are the soldiers who fight war good/bad/neither? The ones on my side are great, the ones on the other are horrible. I kid, I kid. I think it's great that they are willing to die for their beliefs and for their country. Is war ever the answer? Sometimes.

Best game of my life today. I was in a private match with my friends, so I had my killstreak rewards set at UAV-Care Package-Predator. We decided to go play demolition, and of course they don't let me change my ks's <.< No matter, we're playing on estate (defending) and I decide to have a bit of fun with my fall M4 + noobtube and thumper. Start the game off with a triple noobtube kill, use the UAV, use the M4 to headshot a sniper for kill 4, then call in the care package. CHOPPER GUNNER! I ended up going 20-1, and getting the bigger they are, the harder they fall, wargasm, and crab meat. +finishing 40-7. :thumbsup:

I think it's fine to joke about it. At my friend's dad's memorial service, there were more jokes told than anything else, and it was wonderful.

(you get hurt you get away) I would assume out of fear of being hurt even more if the person finds you, or fear of holding yourself responsible if the person does something crazy because you left. 2. Do you think its possible that humans can/are de-evolutionizing? In the modern world we are provided with everything, food, water, shelter, protection. So the "weaker" of us don't die off, some examples that I can think of: Hemophilia, asthma, juvenile onset diabetes. While this may seem like a harsh, heartless outlook I think it is true (obviously), and before you think I'm a "master race" bastard know that I have asthma and yes I have wondered if I would make the cut. I don't think devolving is the right word for it. I think that evolution as far as the elimination of unfavorable traits has been slowed very much, but we aren't regressing as a species. I think a better way to say this is that we are at almost a standstill from an evolutionary standpoint, save for some physical traits. For example, the average height has been changing over the years. 3.Do you think humans were meant to be monogamous? I like to think of these days as the "Satisfaction Age" in that, if you have a desire you get it. Case in point are affairs, and before you go off on a rant about how that is only these days, they happened in earlier times, they just weren't publicized. Also if you look at most if not all group/"pack" mammals they aren't monogamous. No, humans were not meant to be monogamous. Other posters can explain this much better than I can, though. 4. Do humans/carnivores have a natural need for violence/bloodshed? Depends on who you ask. I know a lot who would say yes, i have a social worker parent who says no. I really don't have a stance either way.

I shaved my legs one time. My swim coach told me to do it, and a few other guys on the team did it. So I made a bet with my friend, and if I won he shaved his head and I shaved my legs, because I was gonna end up shaving them anyway. I lost the bet though.

Definitely not the greatest week ever. On Wednesday we found our missing cat. He had been missing for a month, stuck under our neighbors house. He was still alive, amazingly, but he died at the vet :( Then on Thursday my neighbor who has ALS couldn't breathe and was rushed to the hospital. He's still there now. :( So yeah, this week has been pretty bad. Hopefully next week will be better :)
