  1. Another idea was to have it load and pop up only when you hovered over it.
  2. Definitely something to consider - we like this idea and we'll see what we can do while also not skyrocketing page loading times. :) DK
  3. The Crew Wants You! Applications are now closed. Thanks to everybody who applied - it was fantastic to see energetic users wanting to be part of the team! :) Here is a brief list of Questions we thought you would like answered: Who read my application? Crew and Administrators How long until I find out if I was accepted or declined? You should hear back from us within one week from November 20. If you don't get anything after a week, please PM me. Will there be a list of those declined? This information is confidential and will be kept between us and the applicant. If the applicant wishes to tell people they were declined, that is up to them. Can I check in on my application? No, but you should hear back from us within a week. Will I be contacted if you declined or accepted my application? Yes. A pm will be sent to those declined and those accepted. If I am not accepted, is this the last chance I had to join the Crew? No. All applications will be kept on file for when a need for new Crew arises. As always, we also continue to look for people we would like to see join our team through our normal selection progress which happens within the Crew. If you have any other questions, please feel free to PM me. :) [hide]Tip.It's Website Crew is currently looking for volunteers to join the team! Tip.It's Website Crew is the team of volunteers dedicated to the upkeep of the main help-site. If you've ever had an interest in being a part of it all or think you have any skills that could make the site even better, you're looking in the right place! The Crew has many available positions each requiring very different skills and interests. More information on the various positions in a moment. Before applying, you should know a little bit about how the Crew runs. It is important to not glamor a position up, as one may find the Crew was not how they expected it would be when they applied. First off, Tip.It is not a for-profit organization - All staff positions here are fully volunteer positions. Those putting their time into the site are working purely for the bettering of Tip.It. If accepted, you will be required to make somewhat of a commitment to put enough time into your position and ingame research. Crew Training and Crew Work requires time to accomplish and without this commitment, you will not be able to meet deadlines and work as a team. Secondly, web design, coding or mapping skills are an asset, but will not stop us from welcoming you aboard. Our only request is you have a willing attitude to learn whatever interests you. Being a good student will help you throughout your entire Crew career. Both the Staff and Crew are very close teams and you will have the opportunity to meet and work with all existing staff to help better this site. Overall, the Crew is definitely a worthy investment of time. Those who enjoy close communities and view the site as their hobby often have a very fun time being on Crew. Positions Here is a look at some of the positions waiting to be filled within the Crew. Still interested? Excellent! To apply, you will need to fill out the following application and PM it to Staff_Applications. Please make Crew Application: <your name here> the PM subject for sorting purposes. Remember: PM your application to Staff_Applications - do not post it on this topic! Put Crew Application: <your name here> as the Subject Applications are only open to those who have been registered for our forums approximately 6+ months Remember, this is one of the main things you will be evaluated on! Please take your time to make a good impression IMPORTANT: Read every question and answer every question to the best of your ability Applications will be closed November 20, 2010! Even if you aren't chosen from the start, your application will be kept on file and we'll look at it later on when the need for Crew arises! 11. Official Tip.It Times Contest With Jagex Prizes! Running from October 21, 2010 to November 4, 2010 at 11:59:59 PM GMT Contest Closed Winners will be announced on a separate announcement within the next few days! The Tip.It Times is an ongoing article to article based editorial hosted by Tip.It and managed by the Editorial Staff. For a limited time, submitting a Guest Article to the Tip.It Times will give you a chance to win a copy of T.S. Church's Betrayal at Falador if your article or story is chosen as one of the best! Not only that, we also have one copy of the book that is autographed by T.S. Church himself which will be drawn for between the top four winners. Read on for more details! Dates: This contest begins as of the posting of this topic. The contest closes on November 4, 2010 at 11:59:59 PM GMT. All entries need to be submitted by this time. Contest Description: In this contest, all those wishing to enter should choose if they want to submit a Fictional story or an Editorial article. You may only submit a piece for ONE category. All pieces of writing must be about or tied into RuneScape somehow to qualify. Pieces must be all original and your own work. Below are the guidelines we provide for people wishing to submit guest articles. Although they are not mandatory limitations, keeping within these guidelines will give your piece a much better chance in winning than if you ignore some or all of them. Word count can be flexible, but preferably somewhere around 600 words or so. There all kinds of online dictionaries on the web - use one. Please be careful of your spelling and grammar. Articles will be judged in part on how well it reads, syntax, spelling, grammar and the whole nine yards. Be sure to include a title! No flaming or naming names, and no attacks on Jagex unless you have proof of what you're saying. Fictional pieces should be tied into RuneScape. Try not to rehash the same old topics over and over again. Read through the Tip.It Times Archives to make sure we haven't already published a number of articles on the topic you're about to write about. Do your research and be as accurate as possible. Lastly, if you're not sure about your article's topic, or if you have a question, ASK first. Judging Process: Fictional and Editorial articles will be judged as separate categories. Each article will be given a mark for Mechanics (spelling, grammar, etc.) and a mark for the content of the article to create the total mark. Judges for this competition are a combination of staff members and editorial panel members. Winning: The top 2 Fictional articles and the top 2 Editorial articles will be the winners of this competition. Prizes: Each winner will receive a copy of the novel Betrayal at Falador and their articles will be published in the Tip.It Times over the course of two weeks (November 7 and November 14). An additional draw will be made between the 4 winners to determine who receives the copy that is autographed by the author T.S. Church! To learn more about Betrayal at Falador and to read the first chapter, check out this page on the publisher's website: http://titanbooks.com/runescape-betrayal-at-falador-4809/ Submission Instructions: To submit your article, send it by forum PM to @Cowman_133 with the title "Contest Entry [Editorial]" or "Contest Entry [Fictional]" depending on which category you are entering for. NB: By submitting an article you are giving us permission to publish it on the Tip.It Times. We may also keep other articles submitted during this contest that do not place for use in future issues of the Times. We will contact you as a courtesy if we decide to keep it on the backlog. Additional Tips: Looking forward to seeing plenty of awesome articles! Remember, do not post your article here, PM them to @Cowman_133 with the title "Contest Entry [Editorial]" or "Contest Entry [Fictional]". Feel free to post any questions you may have.

  13. Hey guys, This is a general reminder that we do not wish to have piracy promoted on the Tip.It forums. I've removed a number of posts asking for tips and whatnot to get pirated copies of this game working. We recognize that piracy is a fast and easy way to get what you want online, but at the same time we ask that you respect our desire to not promote piracy here. You're on your own if you choose to take that route - this is not a place to learn how to pirate games. Thanks for your cooperation. Cowman_133 Tip.It Administrator
