  1. Fun to do when I'm bored and easy to multitask IRL while doing skilling and whatnot. Also working with the Crew keeps me playing as well.
  2. Official Tip.It Times Contest With Jagex Prizes! Running from October 21, 2010 to November 4, 2010 at 11:59:59 PM GMT Contest Closed Winners will be announced on a separate announcement within the next few days! The Tip.It Times is an ongoing article to article based editorial hosted by Tip.It and managed by the Editorial Staff. For a limited time, submitting a Guest Article to the Tip.It Times will give you a chance to win a copy of T.S. Church's Betrayal at Falador if your article or story is chosen as one of the best! Not only that, we also have one copy of the book that is autographed by T.S. Church himself which will be drawn for between the top four winners. Read on for more details! Dates: This contest begins as of the posting of this topic. The contest closes on November 4, 2010 at 11:59:59 PM GMT. All entries need to be submitted by this time. Contest Description: In this contest, all those wishing to enter should choose if they want to submit a Fictional story or an Editorial article. You may only submit a piece for ONE category. All pieces of writing must be about or tied into RuneScape somehow to qualify. Pieces must be all original and your own work. Below are the guidelines we provide for people wishing to submit guest articles. Although they are not mandatory limitations, keeping within these guidelines will give your piece a much better chance in winning than if you ignore some or all of them. Word count can be flexible, but preferably somewhere around 600 words or so. There all kinds of online dictionaries on the web - use one. Please be careful of your spelling and grammar. Articles will be judged in part on how well it reads, syntax, spelling, grammar and the whole nine yards. Be sure to include a title! No flaming or naming names, and no attacks on Jagex unless you have proof of what you're saying. Fictional pieces should be tied into RuneScape. Try not to rehash the same old topics over and over again. Read through the Tip.It Times Archives to make sure we haven't already published a number of articles on the topic you're about to write about. Do your research and be as accurate as possible. Lastly, if you're not sure about your article's topic, or if you have a question, ASK first. Judging Process: Fictional and Editorial articles will be judged as separate categories. Each article will be given a mark for Mechanics (spelling, grammar, etc.) and a mark for the content of the article to create the total mark. Judges for this competition are a combination of staff members and editorial panel members. Winning: The top 2 Fictional articles and the top 2 Editorial articles will be the winners of this competition. Prizes: Each winner will receive a copy of the novel Betrayal at Falador and their articles will be published in the Tip.It Times over the course of two weeks (November 7 and November 14). An additional draw will be made between the 4 winners to determine who receives the copy that is autographed by the author T.S. Church! To learn more about Betrayal at Falador and to read the first chapter, check out this page on the publisher's website: http://titanbooks.com/runescape-betrayal-at-falador-4809/ Submission Instructions: To submit your article, send it by forum PM to @Cowman_133 with the title "Contest Entry [Editorial]" or "Contest Entry [Fictional]" depending on which category you are entering for. NB: By submitting an article you are giving us permission to publish it on the Tip.It Times. We may also keep other articles submitted during this contest that do not place for use in future issues of the Times. We will contact you as a courtesy if we decide to keep it on the backlog. Additional Tips: Looking forward to seeing plenty of awesome articles! Remember, do not post your article here, PM them to @Cowman_133 with the title "Contest Entry [Editorial]" or "Contest Entry [Fictional]". Feel free to post any questions you may have.

  4. Hey guys, This is a general reminder that we do not wish to have piracy promoted on the Tip.It forums. I've removed a number of posts asking for tips and whatnot to get pirated copies of this game working. We recognize that piracy is a fast and easy way to get what you want online, but at the same time we ask that you respect our desire to not promote piracy here. You're on your own if you choose to take that route - this is not a place to learn how to pirate games. Thanks for your cooperation. Cowman_133 Tip.It Administrator
  5. Finally, a new issue of the >>>Tip.It Times!<<< When replying please make sure to clarify the article you are replying to! Thanks! If you spot any typos or mistakes in the articles, feel free to PM me or @Racheya. Enjoy the articles!
  6. Hi there guys, The official Falador Tavern IRC Channel is finally open for business: #rp. We can make #tavern our official channel if Hex is willing to give up the name for it. If not or if it doesn't matter we can simply remain #rp. This channel is open for anyone who wants to use it while roleplaying or even to play a game directly on the server. Feel free to join with a few friends and use it for a chat. Chat will be monitored by a few server admins and me, but unless necessary nobody will intervene. I am typically not online during the day, but I always keep logs and I can handle and serious problems come evening. To join, click live chat at the top or click here. http://forum.tip.it/ircchat.php Then type in /join #rp to access the channel. If you are using a client to join, the server is irc.tip.it and the port is 6667. Come on out!

  8. Hi there, I've been in touch with you by PM. :) DK
  9. The two above me have given you the best answers possible. If you find anything wrong specifically, you can let us know within this forum. If you want to write your own guide for players, you may use the General Guides forum. http://forum.tip.it/forum/63-archive-of-wisdom/ Welcome to Tip.It Forums! I'll lock this topic as your question has been answered.
  10. There is general support for this idea so I'll work something out within the next few days. Sorry for the delay!

  12. Er what? This forum is for reporting errors on our website not ingame. We can of course fix issues on our site. :)

  14. Thanks for these images, but I'm not sure of a practical way of using them. As zaaps said, a lot of people have trouble with getting it down to that point anyways, and even then it would be much faster to just force the last tiles, no?
  15. I feel you're taking this a little harshly. The staff wouldn't necessarily be 'intervening' with you guys - it would just be to keep the channel pleasant and free of spammers (possibly unrelated to chat) and to keep a more round-the-clock availability. It is also worth noting that if it is unofficial some people may oppose to who has the overall power and control of the channel. Yup you can always join a temporary channel as needed or we could even make several official channels if desired.
  16. Hey guys, A topic was created here not long ago with an advertisement to an unofficial Tavern chat intended for taverners. There was mixed feedback but I want to get your opinions on creating an official tavern chat? The official chat would be monitored primarily by IRC staff mainly for people breaking server rules (mass spamming, malicious content, etc.) and not so much for tavern-related stuff. Typically IRC channels are fairly laid back. If the channel is official we can create a sticky advertising it and ensure it is being run fairly and properly, whereas an unofficial channel cannot be advertised on the forums. I'd personally push to have an official channel there for use as needed and so new people to the forums can come in and get to know people and whatnot. This is a public board after all. :) Let me know what you think - would you use the new official channel or not? DK
  17. Sorry meant to post after I edited. Thanks again.
  18. We'll do our best.
