Not true. They run on separate servers and I can remember many instances of one being up while the other was down. Tip.it is the parent domain. So forum.tip.it can die on its own, but if the parent died so would the child (the forum) This is not the case. The website server can die on its own and the forum server can die on its own. This has happened before on many occasions.

We've thrown around ideas for it for years now, many being ones you listed here. Only once the system is put in place will we be able to tell what is exactly possible and what isn't. I am not sure if each user will have that much power to customize their page, but as I said we do not know what all is possible quite yet. Hope that helps.

Pain to update - it makes more sense to actually work on the projects instead of talking about doing them. That and I do not want to excite people for something and then not be able to follow through with it. I think it is better to not post too much about anything until it is confirmed that it will be happening. DK

Something similar to this is being developed for use site-wide, so at this point we will not be pursuing the idea of putting it into the GEC as it would get slightly redundant. In the mean time, Mil has provided excellent alternatives for you to take a look at and Looce is 100% accurate about Jagex's stance on the matter. Cheers. DK

We'll look into into having the items listed at the top of each difficulty of diaries. As Dark Aura said, a calculator is currently not of high priority, but may be something to do in the future.

Seeing as how it would be a massive effort to gather this data, and that we cover most of the important speeds in the combat guide here: http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=combat_guide.htm#weapons - I'm going to say no to this for now unless there was a much easier way of collecting data. I think the problem here is that there are so many ways to train and people generally need to find the way that works best for them. This idea has been tossed around in the past, but I think we concluded more or less that it is too hard to find methods that work best for a majority of people. Maybe we can look at adding small sections to other skill guides like the Mining and Thieving guides currently have? DK
