Well, the uni semester itself has officially started this week. Been for 2 out of my 3 days so far and I've realised something. This week has been a monumental waste of my time. They've just covered small bits of what I learnt in my bridging course. Funnily enough, I could literally only attend less than 10 days. I would be too. haven't been to a concert in 5 years now. Also Big Day Out is officially RUINED in Australia. Kayne West bought out 51% of the market, the ticket prices got jacked up, you have to do all this complex ordering from America for an AUSTRALIAN concert and he decides who plays. In saying that, jesus christ I want to go to a concert... Fat as Butter. It's a lot closer, and as the tickets have your name on them, people can't poach tickets. Big Day Out has been shit for years now anyway. My uni is weird. Practically the only sites you can access are YouTube and social sites. I can see what Notch is up to, while watching cats play keyboards. But I can't do any work. No, that's home in my spare time stuff.

They're closing one end of my road on weekend in August, including the Friday and the Monday. This means my trip to uni will be a lot longer on Friday and Monday, and the trip home will be twice as long. Not looking forward to it. Power is also going out tomorrow morning until the afternoon. Not going to be fun because my girlfriend wants to hang out, but her phone isn't working, so I won't be able to contact her until like 3pm. Don't even know what time she wanted to hang out either. Technically it's a news aggregator, but it's evolved well beyond there.

That's pretty sweet. I always wonder two things about this kind of party though: 1) How do you not get alcohol all over your fancy clothes? That pretty much always happens to me at least once, whether it's my drink or someone else's. 2) Do you remove your shoes when you enter the house? How does a gentleman not wear shoes? You either keep wearing them, or you get good at walking in socks.

Oh yeah, just thought I'd point out that Carreon is filing the lawsuit on his own, it's not being done as the lawyer of Funnyjunk, and he's using his own resources for it. It also seems that he is calling Inman untrustworthy because he's adding to two extra charities to the BearLove Good. Cancer Bad. fundraiser. Is it just me, or does the bolded bit kind of hint that he doesn't like Palestinians?

It's just 1 lawyer doing this, and the defence is being represented pro bono, which means that the lawyer is voluntarily working for free, or at a very reduced rate. In this case I believe it's for free though. Either way, Carreon is going to be destroyed in this case. The defence barely has to work to build a case at this point, since the internet is practically doing it for them already.

I'm surprised that nobody has pointed out to the fact that included in the lawsuit is Does. Which basically means that there are other, unnamed, defendants in the case. God knows who or what is also being sued, especially since Carreon is basically the new Jack Thompson. While I'm not going to delve into SOPA, as that is one big vault of worms, Reddit users don't have a problem with content being re-hosted, as many users will re-host images to imgur especially since it often prevents the Slashdot effect, but for the most part people will post the original source. This allows for people to view the original image and generate revenue for the creators, which many prefer to do, while saving the site from being overloaded by the masses. What they do have is a problem with is content being re-hosted without a link back to the original creator. In this case, Inman.

Woke up at about 6pm (stayed up the previous night drinking with a friend,) went and spent the next 4 hours at the hospital with my girlfriend as she had an acute case of the flu and she needed a doctor's certificate because she isn't well enough to work tomorrow. It's now 3am and I have to do some work for my dad at 10am. Far, far too awake to sleep before then. That's a credit card then. At least in Canada, the easiest way to tell them apart (aside from the fact that they don't have visa, mastercard, american express, or the name of anyone else who does credit cards on them), is that debit cards lack the 3 numbers on the back, and they don't have expiry dates. Debit cards are the ones you use to withdraw money form your account(s) at an ATM. online. The difference between a credit card and a debit card is that a debit card takes the money directly from your savings, whereas with a credit card you borrow the money from a financial institution (usually a bank or a creditor,) and you then later pay the money, with interest. Credit cards can also be used like a debit card with no interest. A debit card won't necessarily prevent you from making online purchases, it's just that many banks will give you a card without that option by default, or many people specifically request to not have the option. You can very easily ask for your bank to have that allowed on your cards in the future, which will then have the CSV provided on the back of the card. My debit card is a Mastercard with my bank so I can, and often do, make online purchases with it. It is often a wise idea to use a third-party proxy (such as PayPal) when dealing with online purchases as they provide you with added security and will often allow you to recover funds if someone tries to steal them from you.

Good weekend of drinking, although I had to play babysitter the first night. I'm also sick for the first time in a few years. Before now it's not even been a sniffly nose or warm head. You know r/circlejerk is satire right? Almost all the default subreddits (like r/atheism, r/askreddit, etc) are completely awful and it's making fun of it. I bloody well hope I know that, I was a moderator there for a while.

So glad I deleted my account. Now the FBI have to actually put work into stalking me. By that I mean read my messages and view my accounts on 3 different sites. Just notify them that as long as they hold an account, information they post can and will be shared. Their permission, or lack of opposal, are not needed. Also tell them that the FBI would have in their posession everything that has been posted on facebook. The closest they can get to deleting it would be to make it impossible for the FBI to track them, and then have all previously-held information become outdated and incorrect.

How do you think my friend is feeling. The winds might actually knock her house a few 100 metres downhills. That's why you don't go on r/circlejerk (which got banned the other day, it's back now.) The majority of reddit is mature, outside of the inside joking. The nicest people I've met are on r/trees and r/DepthHub is the place for intellectual discussion. Something that might help you socially is this post. You may think it has nothing to do with meeting people and befriending them, but that's the whole connections thing it goes on about.

As long as first world countries are capitalistic in nature, there will always be third world countries. If they can pay Lee the foreigner $10/day to manufacture goods, then why would they ever pay John the guy in a near-by town $10/hr.

Ok, so the guy I was staying with for a month is now being a total [bleep] to me. He's refusing to tell me what I left there, or let me pick it up until I pay him back for a $20 game he bought me as it was on sale. I currently have no income and don't know whether what I left there is important. Luckily his brother is more reasonable and has told me what he knows I left.
