Ethics and Morality
There's no factual basis for much of ancient history if you go by that account. If eyewitness testimony is unreliable, much of ancient history is purely speculation as well. It is.

Ethics and Morality
For the record I'm not against the teaching of religion, as long as you're not picking out any particular one as correct, and talk about them all equally. For a lot of people, religion helps them every day of their life. So you'd be completely fine with your child not learning english? Forgive me for being skeptical. And what if your child decided manners didn't apply to them, and refused to say please and thank you? Would you tolerate that because you didn't want to indoctrinate them? And for a lot of people, religion causes them to be killed or tortured in to conversion. I wouldn't care, plain and simple. As for manners, the teaching of it is social etiquette. The point of it is to help us communicate and cooperate as a species. Without it neither you nor I would be alive. It's about the way you go about it. If I told my kid that Judaism was the true religion and so he had to follow it that would be indoctrination. If I told them that I would ignore/disown/torture/kill them then that's blackmail. If I told my kid about Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Paganism, and other major religions and let them decide if they wish to follow any of the religions or none of them, then I am merely teaching them about religion. Sometimes I think you guys are slow.

Ethics and Morality
What are you, high? Did you even read his post? His point was that we force certain beliefs and practices on our children, because we believe they're for the best. Religion is no different. What would you do if your child decided he didn't want to learn English? Would you tell him it was okay, and that he didn't have to? I doubt it. Teaching someone to read a language that will help you every day of your life is not on the same level as making them learn about your religion. Should I ever have kids, I don't care what language they can read. As long as they understand some form of spoken language. I'd be irritated that I couldn't text them, or that they would have massive hurdles to overcome in society, but it's not like I would even consider forcing them to read in any particular language. Besides, my dad can't even check his messages on his phone or use a computer by himself.

I've found my new love. Degreaser + Reserve Shooter. If you pop around a corner to an open area it pretty much lets you do massive damage and send them flying, if they survive.

Morality and ethics are purely social constructs.

Feds Shut Down Megaupload.com
Probably because MU was apparently not operating within the laws as it claimed. One of the early pages on this thread had a thing about how they didn't actually delete copyrighted content as they should have/claimed to have. Yeah, the rest of the internet pirates, but it doesn't claim to do otherwise (And, in fact, revels in it  ). Plus, sites like Youtube do get hit by that kind of thing regularly; If you use it to listen to music, you're bound to have noticed that a lot of videos get taken down due to copyright claims. Similarly, Youtube/Google and Facebook aren't file hosting/sharing/whatevering sites. Megaupload was. I've spoken someone who has a job for one of those companies that basically sue people on the behalf of the copyright holders and said that MU was one of the better file hosting sites in that they tended to respond to requests in a timely manner and actually do take things down.

Similarly, free DLC: A high-resolution texture pack. I'm downloading that at the moment. About 15 minuets left. I hope not to mod my game too much. Only thing I've downloaded so far was a mod to let me make arrows. That's about all I really wanted. So far I have the Midas Magic mod, which is amazing and currently too OP, but the creator has said it's still a WIP. I also have a mod to reduce the weight of dragon bones and scales, a mod to add in brackets the skill tree to be levelled for books, and dynamic merchant gold, which means if you sell a lot of things to them in a few days they'll start to have an increased amount of gold. No limit to how much a merchant will end up with. I went mage for the first character in vanilla skyrim. I killed enemies with ease that my friends that went with other styles were stuck on for awhile. Magic is OP in skyrim period. It's not the mod. This makes you nearly unbeatable at higher levels due to spells such as being able to shapeshift into a giant, casting a paralyse rune, being able to spam giant fireballs, being able to open master locks, entangling enemies, mass reanimation and the early spells, such as heal + disease cure, summoning dragonlings, and poison cloak aren't that balanced themselves. That's in comparison to other spells too.

Same here. I just thought that on the rare occasion a NZ farmer got drunk and hit his sheep we sent some of our police officers over there.
