  1. Usually when I have that position, the "something terrible" is the result of you and/or Nex [bleep]ing my shit up on purpose because you don't trust me.
  2. He was also the one who decided to attack a god because it looked intimidating. And as for my nuke, I knew it was going to work, and guess what? It did. Took out a bunch of enemies, as well as whatever kept generating them, almost killed me (it was intended as a suicide attack, so this actually went better than planned), knocked out the others and lit up the forest like a thousand brown flood lights, leaving a huge clearing with burned ground.
  3. I convinced a priest to let a chunk of magical, living metal (Zareph) into town, I made a nuke using only earth magic and so far none of my guesses as to what is going on have really been that far off, only details such as who killed the white-clad woman. I think I deserve that title by now.
  4. To be fair, the only thing I did that was not according to how you said things ought to have been done was to flee to remain in the tomb after the fight had begun. The rest of the time I just simply lacked the information, such as that about the white-clad woman's finger even missing. Also when I did strike the owl, you said it flew off into the canopy, which means up into what would usually be hiding. And also I was searching, I kept walking and looking around, that usually means "come on, give me something to work with here". But yeah, finger-bone, which that bullhead Zareph was to thick to take note of and the rest of us weren't informed of. That is the sort of keystone I'm talking about. Had I known it was missing, I would have asked the priest about it, but when I see a skeleton it really doesn't fall naturally to me to count the bones to make sure none are missing. I'm the brains and true moral center of the group, not the psychic. As for what I will do, now that I know it's a castle-town and not actually a fortress, and that the king has a means to torture the white-clad woman, what to do seems a bit more obvious. Oh yeah, and as for me stubbornly saying there was no solution, that was not a thing that happened. What I was saying was "we could do this" and "where the [bleep] are the rest of the puzzle pieces? It'd be good to know because we can't just simply search this whole [bleep]ing area". I did what I could with the pieces I had, but half the pieces of a puzzle don't make for a picture that can be extrapolated into what the other pieces are, it just makes for a mess that doesn't yet fit together.
  5. Sometimes if people seem to think the plot is unsolvable, that is because of lack of information, either as a result of a key piece missing or because it is just too well hidden. Puzzles are fun, but cease to be so when you have to actively search for the pieces for more than a few minutes. Also if a plot point is supposed to be found, an indicator for such and the general location it inhabits is a must, else the players will get bored of waiting for the plot to move forward. An example: Player: I engage the ship's autopilot. Bad GM response: The ship slowly drifts forward. Good GM response: An error message is displayed, there's something wrong in the machine room.

Actually the longsword only played a minor role (I'm pretty sure I lost it after I surrendered), and it's shape was way too impractical to be related to this place (it had a square tip, a square tip). And no, my surrender wasn't symbolical of anything by its own, as I resisted detainment until the prison manager gave a hand wave to confirm that he was okay, at which point I just laid flat down and let the guards take me away. As for the so called references of yours, the weird guy was just silent and sitting in his bed at all times except during the breaks. The badass chick was different from how Iey plays it, being more anime-esque, silent and carefree in style. The prison manager was way more like an ambiguously bad guy from an anime than Nex ever plays, with a white trenchcoat and spiky, black hair. Being shot in the gut was as punishment for leaving my cell and never really did anything other than leave the weird bullet there. Also i really don't spend that much time here. And the cat wasn't really that important either, it was sentient, it was my cellmate and I gave it all my food for no reason at all, despite it having more than enough food for itself, that's all I remember about it. So no, not symbolical of any of those.
  10. A circle beard is when they connect, a Van Dyck is when they don't. Anyways, I just had the weirdest dream ever. I dreamt that I was in jail, with a longsword, and I shared a cell with a weird guy and a badass chick with a katana. When an earthquake struck the facility, the first thing I did was to run up to the helipad and make sure the jail's manager, who looked like he'd been pulled straight out of an anime, was safe. I then surrendered myself, got shot in the gut and sent back to my cell where the badass chick used a pair of forceps to extract what looked like a very thin, high-tech slug from the wound. Eventually I started relocating around, going such jails in such places as Mexico, Eastern Europe and eventually Africa where I became cellmates with a cat, whom I gave all of my food until my release. Some things of note are that there were these weird breaks where we were outside and it was seemingly random what we were and weren't allowed to do and that all the food looked like bars of soap. Also this dream seemed to last for an eternity, as the story lasted for months and there were no time skips. Pretty sure this could give any dream analyst a headache, but if you remove the fact that my cellmate in Africa was a cat, it would've made a pretty good dystopian prison game book or movie.
  11. Actually Van Dyck is correct way of spelling it as well, I just don't like it. The name I prefer is actually two letters different (not one as you may think at first) and I believe it may be synonymous to creek.
  12. [bleep] yeah, only some pigmentation left and I'll have a circle beard (or possibly a Van [bleep], hard to tell which). EDIT: Fine, I'll have to spell it Van Dyck. Can't see how that is any less swearing than the other though, as it is closer in spelling to any non-name word.

  14. The trick to buying good headphones, is to buy headsets. They can be somewhat more expensive than most headphones (not including such as Skullcandy and the likes), but nothing beats the sound quality and comfort intended for hardcore gamers. If you need them for something other than the computer though, make sure it doesn't have to use USB.

  16. Seems like a pretty good idea to me. Dungeoneering seems the best of the two, but you could also go for an exponentially growing value, like most non-MMO games. Lvl 2 requires 10, Lvl 3 requires 15, Lvl 4 requires 20, Lvl 5 requires 30, Lvl 6 requires 45, etc.

So in your opinion, DLC for a game should be the sequel to it for half the price, with the bonus of starting as powerful as you were at the end of the original game, which is exactly what was done with New Vegas, yet you're not contempt with it because they now also have a deal where you get all the DLCs along with the game for an even lower price? Yes, new kinds of weapons, introduced in Old World Blues are energy melee and thrown weapons, and a ranged weapon with customizeable effects (note there are other new weapons as well, but these are completely unique). And the storylines are related to the main stories. Old World Blues and Dead Money pertain the story of Elijah and Christine, two characters important to Veronica's story arc. Old World Blues and Lonesome Road pertain the story of Ulysses, the original seventh Curier and an important character in ED-E's story arc. And Honest Hearts pertains the story of The Burned Man, an important character in the Legion story arc and the history of Hoover dam as well as the story of Crimson Caravan's struggles.
  19. If you played through it that fast, you can only have yourself to blame for going through the main questline first. Honest Hearts has a lot of caverns with fragments of a backstory and lots of rewards to offer. There are also a lot of areas to discover that are hard to even get to show on the compass. And Old World Blues is simply vast, not only does it have several new kinds of enemies, but also at least two new kinds of weapons as well as great implants, armor, prototypes and upgrades and a way for you to actually make some use of all the trash you find lying around everywhere. It also expands on the history of three characters, from two of the other DLCs. If you play these through properly and get every ending, they'll take you more than 100 hours each. Let's compare them to what a DLC is; downloadable content, in other words something extra for the game, such as in Assassin's Creed 2 where the DLC was a short questline with some ok rewards. These are more like complete sequels, or intermissions if you want to be precise. They have their own settings and storylines as well as incorporating the main game's. Now this is more than the description asks for, but wait, they also each raise the level cap by 10, raising the time the main game takes to really complete significantly. What does this sound like? Oh, yeah, that's pretty much the same as what WoW's "sequels" do, except these actually come with whole new maps as well.

  21. Bad example, Archi. The DLCs there are actually separate stories, with their own additions that just happen to transfer over to the main game once you're done with their respective primary questlines, and lengthwise each one of them are far longer than most modern games not made by Bethesda. In fact while Portal 2 took me 8 hours to beat, BF:BC2 and CoD: Black Opps took me 2 days, and Assassin's Creed 2: Revelation and Brotherhood took me about 3 days, I spent over a week completing a single path in Honest Hearts, and Old World Blues I've temporarily given up on because that shit just doesn't seem to end, despite me playing with God Mode on. Fallout: New Vegas and its DLCs are the reverse Nintendo solution V.A.T.S. makes it easier than any other FPS, but they are each simply gargantuan. Compared to these, Pokémon G/S is just a cheap DLC to R/B.
  22. Duh, so do I, I just wear pants that are of a more baggy fit so that I can actually correct it when my underwear rides up. There's nothing wrong with having a little room between the waistline and the crotch of your pants, after all tight pants is one of the most common causes of temporary sterility. This exact pair of pants is the only one I have that can actually sag, because it's my newest pair. Can't get past my hips though, and I usually wear a belt when I'm not at home, it's just that the only belt that still fits me is thick, rough leather filled with solid metal studs and weighs like half a kilo.
  23. Went to the bathroom, noticed myself in the mirror, "I look [bleep]ing huge! Have I grown like a foot taller since I last left my room?" :shock: Sadly it was just my pants sagging more than usual. <_<
  24. There may be some special gems that can do it, but crystals as in empty crystals can't, neither can you enchant crystals using soul magic. I have not tried to see if crystals enchanted with for example earth magic can be used as a power source for when you cast earth magic, but that renders it nearly useless as you either have to predict what magic you need, or just make heaps of them, the latter being a solution only feasible for me due to the amount of crystals needed.
  25. Since using crystals to store mana doesn't work, is there any way to extend your mana pool and/or mana regenerative capabilities? Also I think I leveled in earth magic (unless that +.6 was for soul), if so I spend the specialization on a second specialization in earth waves.
