  1. Gotta make a presentation, it's supposed to last 5-7 minutes, any topic. I'm going to make one about Runescape, and it's sort of tempting to go really in-depth and make it last 57 minutes just to [bleep] with the teacher. What do you say; Do or do not make it insanely long?
  2. You can compare Google to Microsoft and Apple because they have one sales product in the same category, and there Google is still the one who cares more about the user than the money. HTC dropped Windows in favor of Android as OS for their phones once it came on the market, which proves that Android is of better quality than Windows for phones. And by looking at the app markets you can see that while Android has it all open for whoever to make an app, Apple is sitting on all the money on their side.
  3. Yeah it does, because you can also notice the difference in quality in the products that earns them money through sales, such as the Android OS when compared to Windows for phones and iOS.
  4. I'm not saying Microsoft and Apple are conspiring about anything, I'm just saying they care more about the money than their customers, something which is apparent in their products. Google however goes to great expense to ensure that their customers are happy (and employees as well, Google headquarters is more like a luxury hotel than an office Scratch that, there's no hotel that can even compare to Google HQ).
  5. Nex, your spoiler is empty. In wasted processing power, IE tops the scale alongside Safari and Firefox. And while it is true that a top-grade-functionality browser like Opera requires setting up to be enjoyable, Chrome requires no work at all, is near crash-proof and has compatibility with any addons you may find use for that you can find. I know using the standard browsers for the two leading OSes may seem like a good idea, but who would you rather trust? The company who can't take care of the customers, the company who sells half the product for ten times the price or the company who time and time again gives to their users and has yet to ask for a dime for their services? Google's software is in a completely different league than anyone else's. There's a reason 99% of all internet-literate land dwellers in existence use Chrome. As an example my class is the one where most computer geeks go (not IT, because IT is mostly for people who just think they know computers), and there's only one here who does not use Chrome, and that guy is incidentally the same guy who lately has taken a habit of using a pillow when sleeping in class. Still he has the wits to use Firefox instead of IE though.
  6. May I ask why you haven't gotten a less abominable browser?
  7. Actually I use half of them, and the other half is stuff I use so seldom that I would forget I have it without the shortcuts. Actually there are quite a few there that are on autorun or locked in the taskbar... And it's clean, that went fast for something I did by accident. There are still a few there that I have no idea what are, but it's 3-year licensed free shit from Autodesk so it might come in useful.
  8. To end this silence, how about we post our desktops? [hide='Spoilered for 1360x768][/hide] Yeah, I love my background, I've never been this satisfied with any other preset ever. EDIT: And I just realized that I'd forgotten about half the stuff I have shortcuts to. Deleted the useless stuff and tidied it up a bit. There's still a [bleep]ing lot there, just half a line less.
  9. I should worship some craftsman god that is part of some pantheon, and while it is common to believe in all, it is uncommon to worship more than one. The teachings of the god would be what to do in the workshop and the worship would be using certain designs and patterns in my creations. If you need any more details then just take them from Hephaestus. Also a question; Would it be possible to create the sort of "magical mechs" that you find in many games? By which I mean can I create clockwork golems that act like they are intelligent?
  10. Any time of the week that isn't 7:00 to 14:00 GMT on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday or 7:30 to 12:00 GMT on Wednesday and Friday is fine by me. It's not like I ever take the time to sleep anymore (no seriously, I don't, I just take two powernaps and fall asleep wherever I'm sitting when I'm bored). Just slap some darksight, strength, and craftsmanship on me and call me a dwarf.
  11. And there might be some that are willing to try in my class. I feel like getting Ouyso to join would be demanding a bit much of him seeing how I'm already forcing him to read Homestuck, though he has gotten more willing now that he's more than halfway though act 2.
  12. 'Tis gon' be a good day! My post-breakfast nap felt like it lasted an eternity, my hair feels like a silken veil, and I inexplicably practically danced my way to school. And yeah, I'm up for either one, no preference.
  13. That's more common than you think, so I don't blame you.
  14. Yeah, my spell check must've thought I tried to write vane as in weather vane. Can't blame it for not being context sensitive though.
  15. Sort of, but I don't think that term applies when you're thinking actively about intellectual stuff, not just letting your imagination run loose, not that it hasn't saved me from being caught daydreaming as well.
  16. I'm not vane, I just prefer to look my age and gender. I never do my hair except sometimes run a brush through it occasionally so it's not a complete mess, and my clothing is as elaborate as a tshirt, a hoodie, a pair of baggy pants, and any pair of black shoes that I know can take the punishment I put them though. Sure I'm wearing something for looks; a pair of aviators, but their looks are to serve tactical purposes, such as to hide the fact that I barely sleep and to avoid awkward eye contact. They've also more than once saved me when I've gotten so deep in thought that I've fallen into a meditation-like, catatonic state in class (no, not sleep, I just sit there, blocking out everything but my own thoughts).
  17. I've already begun getting stubble, after only 8 hours... I like where this is going.
  18. Why did you provide a picture of an oil lamp there when the one in your previous picture is clearly electrical?
  19. I think what happened is that he broke the origami lamp, not the headphones.
  20. You strike me as a bit of a douche. Not that I have anything against you, but really, the fulfillment of stereotype is ridiculous. How so? Is it my lack of tolerance for foreign matter in my skin, my curiosity or my liking for evidence of pain I've gone through?
  21. It's my first time shaving to remove the "beard", up until now I've only trimmed it. Also I think the swelling has more to do with my decision to pick the blackheads that were hidden by my facial hair and to try to see why aftershave always leads to screaming in movies. There's actually pretty much no way I could have avoided it by shaving differently since I'm using an electric razor with covered blades. Anyways, at least now my scar is visible.
  22. I don't think makeup could make it worse seeing as how I now have a slightly Joker-esque swelling around my mouth.
  23. Just shaved; bad idea, I now feel 98% less manly.
  24. Yeah, if I tore a vain then I'm pretty sure I would have noticed early and bled to death by now, anything else and it can't kill me. Now what I suspected it was was a minor tendon, which wouldn't matter that much really, but I'd prefer to know. Though it is just as likely that it was nothing and I am just imagining that rusty sensation in my shoulder.
  25. I might have thought so if not for how I'm used to cracking them and how that has a very different sound, this one was more like when the fibres start splitting. And I don't really get a chance to talk to my parents for the next nine hours, seeing as they're asleep up until I leave for school. And the weird feeling was sort of like blunt internal pain, but not strong enough to hurt. If it continues to hurt the next day, I would advise that you get it checked out. If not, you should be fine. It never hurt, it just felt... dubious... Though feeling anything at all may be psychological seeing as how I expected to feel something after that sound.
