  1. My guess is that in maybe 4-5 years, Apple will be back to being that odd company that sells weird, expensive computers only photo editors, audio technicians and hipsters use and iPhones will be the same as what MacOS was, "that thing made by that weird company that kicked off a new trend that eventually made someone else much richer".
  2. To be honest I'm kind of looking forward to seeing Apple crash and burn.
  3. I have already built a character to exactly the cost of 100 points. I'll just save it so I can edit it later if I can use more.
  4. How many points do we start with?
  5. What I mean is that it is really similar in the way things are portrayed in Fallout, creating a character is almost exactly like it is in Fallout NV if you subtract the graphics, Doc Mitchell and the psychological exam.
  6. Will this be played in maptools? Given it's similarity to Fallout that would be the deciding factor on whether or not I'll play. If it's not then I'm in, if it is then forget it.
  7. There's also that... too much lingo that's not worth [cabbage]. But yes, I know it's slow because I even find some videogames too slow for my taste, and DnD is unarguably a board game and it requires you to wait for everyone to take a turn. I may like thinking when I play, but I value a fast pace and simple gameplay more. Unless of course it's played by timescale such as Hegemony is.
  8. Wow, that took me like 10 attempts to read because I'm so tired my eyes were going everywhere at once. Yes, I have tried a normal "free" RPG, but in games I prefer not to be both the player and the game engine. Deciding results should not be up to each individual player in my opinion. No, I have never read a DnD manual because why the flying [bleep] would I? I find DnD to be too slow-moving to be worth playing and the sheer amount of rules you find there are just ridiculous outside of a videogame (because there you don't have to think of them). Sometimes limitation is a good thing, but when it is something such as max number of steps it's just horrible. I have tried to run a game myself, BC-304, and it seemed to be going well... for the entire one session where someone showed up...
  9. It's too slow and tedious, same reason I don't enjoy chess or any other board game. In DnD you can take an hour to do the same stuff you could do in 10 minutes in Dungeoneering, and no, that's not due to overpowering but rather common sense and good modding outranking that little piece of unnecessary realism. My mind is running on constant overclock, idleness and repetition is torture, I need constant stimuli.
  10. Just saying that I will never play DnD (due to arbitrary limitations such as max number of steps and casts, set range for attacks and contempt of maptools), RP (due to me finding it pointless to play anything where you play god with regards to your character) or WoW (due to contempt for Blizzard.)
  11. But a mole is a physics derived term even though it is only used in chemistry.
  12. Two different sciences  Biology! Yes and no, a mole is the relative molecular count in a mixed substance, quantum mechanics is about the 12 mass particles and the 4 energy particles. They belong in the same category, however the use of one is more suitable elsewhere.
  13. That moment when I find moles annoyingly painstaking to understand and I have no idea what SigFigs are but I have a firm grasp of quantum mechanics.
  14. Don't know why I didn't post earlier but I just thought I should share the nerdgazm:
  15. You'd have to hit a wall to get thrown off a motorcycle, else the worst thing that can happen is you getting stuck under it which is pretty harmless if you're wearing protection. And no, you don't just lose control, you have to either be breaking or turning on top of a slippery surface or driving way fast in a long puddle to lose control all of a sudden.
  16. Yes, actually, because someone has to do something wrong in order to achieve it. And going by the state of his bike he was not hit by another vehicle.
  17. That is called stupidity, people could manage similar results with almost any motorized vehicle.
  18. In the same way you are to blame if you are injured when a plane comes crashing into your house. Or any person is to be blamed for being killed by a homicidal maniac.
  19. If you follow the law and drive responsibly and you're then hit as someone runs a red light, you're not to be blamed. Motorcyclists are statistically more likely to drive carefully than other motorists, as they're more likely to get injured or killed in an accident.
  20. Motorcycles are more prone to get in accidents, true, but they are not the cause of them, that would be the [wagon] who think they should drive first because they have the larger vehicles.
  21. In story mode you can carry any two weapons as long as they're not the same, you can even carry two identical assault rifles with different sights or both the slug and buckshot version of the same shotgun. Heck, you can carry the RPG and C4 if you want to only use explosives.
  22. Then drive a motorcycle, that way if you kill anyone it'll be yourself.
  23. Slugs are rarer to come by though, standard ammunition for a shotgun is the 6- or 8-gauge. I already know to appreciate sniping with slugs due to the semi-auto shotgun in BF:BC2, I kept that in my secondary weapon slot whenever I could, using a FN-2000R or other assault rifle as my primary (I quickly learned never to go around without something with a grenade launcher).
  24. Going by the fact that skeet shooting is a thing they must have less spread than in most videogames, it still stands however that you'll be more accurate with a handgun, smg or rifle.
  25. I said shotgun because at that range if you're using anything else then you're likely to miss, I know that you're better of with any other modern gun for most other situations. Nex, range and volume.
