very nice Ohfour looks very effective, don't know tons about this sorta stuff but a 9/10 in my books. maybe turn up the contrast?

actually pretty good so far, I saw the black lines on the thumnail and thought it could let it down but It does it really justice atm. Great pose too, it should look great finished and with some extra detail. Maybe his right hand needs work but im sure you were working your way towards that.. Any plans for the rest of the sig or are just hoping of getting to that when you finished this guy? Seriously nice shading, maybe you can add more colours to your pixel art to add an extra sense of reality? keep it up :wink: - Ter

A quick painting of myself practicing with tones (pullin a face), with a colour drawing of a passport photo (just started tho :?).. was rushed in places cus we had until the end of lesson to finish, didn't wanna stick around :D . The first watercolour painting of someone I've ever done so I hope it looks allright, I'd love to know im improving. suppose to be very loose btw :). EDIT~ oh and if anyone else has any watercolour paintings or any of the sort, please post cus I'd love to see em.

He's holding a clump of rune ore in his hand btw :), and the sac is suppose to be slightly blue-ish as its full of em. Thats a red halloween mask, with longish hair comming out of the back, looks much better than short hair.

Yeah :( I blame tip.it for that one (No offense intended). The resizing lowered the quality quite a bit, and made the scan-lines too numerous. But ah, you win some, you lose some. I wasn't sure of the limitation when I made it :P 8/10 kinda creepy :shock:

I've never been that fond of watercolour painting but since I hit college I've found it increadibly fun to do, but I gotta admit it's hard not using white or black paints, all has to be in pure colour so you have to learn the ways of darking colours without black.. For instance to darken Orange you add blue (darken blue by adding orange), to darken red add green (darken green by addin red) etc.. to replace the effects of white to colour you have to use the white of the paper to tint (basically more watery and less paint on the brush), or if that fails use white gauche which makes the colour milky due to the presence of chalk. Well here's some of my object drawings, based on senses so the objects are pretty peculiar, only my A4 paintings cus my scanner is too small for my larger paintings. They order first to last. A melon slice, for taste. one of my first in college. a party toy thingie, that makes a noise when you blow in it. Hearing. A cute, soft, bean-bag toy mouse. aww, for touch cus its really soft and nice to feel. A tiny football toy, for touch as its soft and squidgy. probably to scale :S. A rattler, makes the same noise as a rattle snake, for noise, hard to do cus my tutor kept sending me out for being too loud. had to re-make the colours a few times. Brought nothing in this lesson so I had to use what I had, a brush, you touch it dun ya.. hahah. :wink: Self painting, pulling a cocky look in a mirror. only under spend an hour on it. Sight. BTW, we're not allowed to draw anything out before hand to plan out were everything is going to be, it's all down to guessing and seeing whats in front of you. Its one of those games that you know nothing about until you play it, then you fall in love The games basically an MMORPG with levels as big as city's on GTA, and your a super villain, City of Heros is a different game linked to CoV so in certain places (PVP) your enemies.. which is pretty cool. I think its amazin honestly ive got to level 17 now after 4 days playin non stop and the powers you get just get better and better, my guys a mastermind which means I have good defence and the ability to summon things, at the start you can choose to summon, ninja's, mercineries, robots or zombies, according to your character.. Mine looks ninja-ish so atm I got 4 including a dark assasin. 8) 8) absolutely owns. at level 6 you can learn hover which is pretty slow but you can enhance your powers making them stronger, faster, more accurate etc. but when you get to level 14 you can choose fly which is basically as you expect, you just pick off and fly off into the distance :lol: .. There are loads more powers you can select like leap which allows you to jump for miles like a flee, yeah thats a popular skill. My characters combat skills are pretty strong and accurate but not as strong as other classes, but my army of minions makes up for that plus I got the advantage of not getting hurt, basically its hard for me to die. And thats just masterminds, there are 5 other classes to choose like Brutes, Stalker, Corrupter etc plus different character settings to determain your skills, you choose how you get your powers (mutation, science, natural etc) which means there are potentially hundreds of different character types to choose from not including the fully customisible costumes 8) .. Its even possible to make existing super heroes and villains, you saw my spiderman who cant websling but can do everything else imaginable, even saw someone make wolverine from X-men who has super strength and metal claws. :wink: I strongly suggest people getting this game, I only paid $35 for it and you get the first month free then '10 dollars' a month to play. not too sure about the exact storyline, my Idea is several rebel teenagers who all stumble onto the same school, and they don't get along.. :lol: .. well much more to the storyline but im not gonna bore ya, those who said they look like guys need to know im still working on the style, if you read the first post you'll know that I persifically stated that these are quick copies of my original storyboard.. so the quality is less than norm, and the spelling is just how i've always wrote and said it, I don't think teenagers of that sort would speak fully perfect english, they aren't well spoken =P .. shh, thats my excuse and im sticking to it.. oh and Ryan theres not much to the storyline because im using four frames of a storyboard originally only thumnail size on paper, enlarging them to A5 each and transfering it onto a printing plate to be cut and ready to print. Theres much more to it, goes onto a whole fight scene.. Its the best way to start an animation, with action..

still developing characters and the positions, its hard maintaining the style whilst thinking of how it's going to be animated, so please don't crit the drawing quality so much as how you think it looks so far, you think the end result would look eyecatching? pls tell me your thoughts. 8) . these select drawings where made especially for a print making class so theres no shade or great detail, it's been simplified from my original storyboards so I hope you keep tha in mind :P . just crit pls :lol: . just posted for fun, no serious work atm.. till I get to the final design, consider these practices, plans, tests, wtever u call it. :? ~Ter

well I gotta say you have a pretty sweet style and I prolly prefere your non chibi'd pieces from your semi realistic ones.. wouldn't take a week to do that but the experience is there, im guessing a hour doodling and stuff. Are you tryin to create characters for any particular reason or simply drawin what takes your fancy? cus it'd be sweet if you designed a character and continued to experiment and draw poses, facial expressions etc.. also.... do you ever draw women, or do they always turn out too manly.. :lol:.. ohh I soo wanna post some of my drawings :( but my brothers got my scanner for a university project.. will get it back in a few days..
