his sig is great mine are the ones that need work =.= anywayz, its good WIP, if ur gonna put a watermark on it just put a faded SAMPLE over it easiest way.

seems rushed.. too dark even for my screen and the character is diddie, usually theres a main focus to a sig. those squiggles and red lines sorta wreck it, try add more into it, objects characters, scenery. You just got a grey sky, black ground, white moon, a tiny dead character with your name.. I think you just added those squiggles to make it seem like more than just tha. sorry im not usually harsh just doesn't seem like theres much to it, but if its a first I suppose it's a good try. it's hard doin large landscapes so try do easier things and work your way up.. sorry but a 2/10 (Ter slaps himself) I hate givin low scores though that dead guard look cool.. why do people insist on saving pixel images as jpeg's.. that just blurs them (add's AA if not already used), save it as a PNG, or a higher res gif file. It'll look as it did while you were making it.

heheh nice cute characters you got there.. Well if you want this to be a signature your best resizing it down to the forum sizes, which is 300x150. without strechting or squashing it you'll have to cut off a bit, like i've done ere for ya. When you've got the right size canvas, all you have to do is go over your drawing in a black line tool and delete any mess. Try not to rush drawing the linework cus you'll make what should be curved lines straight and it'll make your signature look too blocky. I've shown you you need to do with the left character. When you've done that for the whole sig it should only be made up of black lines and a white background, no left over mess (from your scan). should look like this, clean and smooth. After that it's up to you what you wanna do with it, you can simply colour it in, add shade and depth.. There are loads of techniques so to figure out how you wanna colour it its best to look at other peoples sigs to pick out a style you'd like to use. Oh and your best sampling your work everytime you post something like you did on that original picture, even linework can be stolen, coloured in and sold off. :x . (I know im contridicting myself by posting unsampled linework, cus I'm not really bothered, my view is that they're just pictures, I'll only sample something I really don't want people to steal). well in ms paint you can draw something on paper, scan it in, transfer it onto paint and start tracing over it as a plan to your sig. If you can't be bothered doing that just sketch out on paint as you would on paper, use a light grey to make a basic structure (characters with stick figures), then built it up until your happy to decide on a stronger outline. Rub out the mess and your left with linework (which should be black), from then just edit your character to however you want him, edit your work accordingly until your happy that you want it to be coloured, choose your colours then eventually shade it. If you want you can change your black outlines to coloured. It's all up to you what you come up with, the only thing you can learn is techniques from advice and critisism. I know its a rubbish character, just an illustration of what I meant. The same technique applies for the whole sig (background aswell as characters), look at my before and afters. Used a scanned in sketch for tha. see nothing detailed at all.. used the ms paint method... sorta just planned it out, did the linework and worked on it section by section. 3 steps to a simple character. Latest one, still using my same old technique 8) . It's honestly up to you how you wanna make a pixel sig, just figure out what you like to do and stick at it, don't do it if it's not fun :) . And certainly don't try to mimic anyone else's style, find your own and develop it. hope that shed some light on your situation. ~Ter

pixel art isn't a style mate, its a type of digital art. His style is definately different than one of his other sigs. very good work bam, I'd give it a 8/10.

The guy looks smaller than the women, maybe make him bigga. make his jacket thingie longer and widen his chest givin him a neck. It's a different style from what I've seen before so you'd be best figuring out what you think looks better rather than asking for advice. Looks very nice though. 8/10 atm cus its a wip :wink: .

the idea of a buddy kit was great, but it's got a bit weiry and boring now, the graphics haven't improved at all and people seem to love em all the same. Im not dissin buddy's Im just pointing out that they should improve the graphics a bit more and maybe design a new model because they all just seem to be mimics of the original with just different clothing. You wouldn't catch me spending hours of my day messing around creating little characters that don't serve any purpose out of someones poor graphical images.. It may be fun to some people but I simply just find it boring, nothing creative about it.. But I gotta say those alternatives are pretty good, people making their own buddies and thinking outside the box, which is what im tryin to get at.. just be a lil more creative. :wink:

nah I've got no plans of making a buddy kit cus I recon they just suck, the point of this was to show that you shouldn't just copy and paste other peoples low quality work together to make a character, doing it yourself is much more fun, easy and looks much better.

Hahaha, you didn't think that. Don't be too modest. I said that cus im very familiar with pixel sigs so I don't see many pixel sigs to be 'impressive', I wanted Nad to win cus I've honestly tried to do that in the past and I completely messed it up. So Nad's to me is very impressive, I know all the flaws and mishaps about my sig so I wouldn't see my sig as a 'winner' but the voting proved me wrong. Yeah I think different catagories would be nice but more people would have to enter otherwise it'd be 2 pixel sigs, 3 abstracts, 1 tarragen and maybe a vector sig.. If there was a tarragen sig catagory than Nad would win every time 8) . ~Ter

I was sick of seeing rubbish buddies so like this. yeah its amazin aint it... so I made my own :D :D :D !! thats me! heh I still hate buddies but just thought it'd be nice to show people at runehq that they can be a bit more creative than just throwing some body parts together, they seem to love makin simple buddy characters. can rate or just discuss buddies, im not bothered guys... ~TER!!!
