I am afraid I won't help much in your case. I tried herbs once, didn't like it as I get much more herbs from my farming, so I don't have any numbers for you... As for using coal as a second choice - I do it myself, though, I am not able to sell it 200ea. I usually end up selling it 180-190ea. I suspect that flax is slightly better money than coal because of it. Of course as a second choice - the first one for me is maples, because of bird nests.

I vote for the monsters in Abyss. They drop talismans a lot, more than any other one I saw. Use fairy ring to get there - it is much easier this way.
-
I also use Crystal Bow for training and Slayer. I ended up buying a second one just so I won't have to go to the evlen forest to recharge too often.

You have to get gout tuber, gems and sticks. Gout tuber may be a problem, unless you buy it from another player for 150-250K. It was a problem for me - I spent a few days trying to get one from the minigame.

people with about 50 combat are doing it fine

What is the fastest way to raise your smithing lvl?
Vaskor replied to Lord_Firer's topic in Help and Advice
Cannonballs are slow for sure... There a way to combine power mining and smithing in one operation. After you get access to Phistashios Colony, you can mine load of iron ore, quickly go to the furnace (right behind the wall), make iron bars and smith them right there into iron sheets, sell/drop sheets and repeat the process. This method makes both mining and smithing go up. No money lost and it is pretty quick. You just need some rings of forging. -
You can report autotypers as "macroing". I usually ask to stop autotyping and if the person continues I report. I think it is very rude against other players to flood the screen with autotyped text.
-
Phistashios Colony is great to make and bank iron bars. You can quickly mine a load and smelt it into bars right on the way to the bank. As for banking iron ore, I find a scheme with runners in Al-Kharid mine working the best for me (in F2P world there are always people who would run for 1-1.5K per run)

Thanks! English is my second language :wall: I haven't heard this meaning of 'outrageous' before...

No, I don't believe so. I still get the same proportion of tuna/swordies at lvl 79

I raised my Agility there from 64 to 67. Falling was not a big problem.

Yes, max number of tree seeds is the main factor for me. I also think it would give you max money. Here is my math: 9 maple, 6 flax results in 803 maples, 750 flax, 9 bird nests and 1-2 herb seeds. 80300 + 75000 + 80000 (lowest average from tree seeds) + 2000 = 237300 (237K). With 100 flax and 5 coal, 3 herb seeds, 2 gems 125000 + 72500 (coal for 190ea) + 4000 + 4000 = 205500 (205K) Pure flax/coal method is faster cash though as these are easier to sell than maples and tree seeds.

I am lvl 87 fletch, but I do it occasionally. When I am reading something and not paying much attention to the game, I do fletch my maples :-) and sell them later in Brimhaven. There are quicker ways to make money for sure. But for middle level fletchers it is a very good way to raise the levels with profit. Haven't measured. I fletch mine on background, so it is slower than it could be if I do it without pauses. I actually collect 9 maples and 6 coals, but flax probably better than coal money wise. I keep max possible number of bird nests and maximize # coal/flax because they are easier to sell than maple logs.
-
yes, because of bird nests and tree seeds from them. Tree seeds are very expensive. If you sell them you will get more money than from extra flax. Or you can raise your Farming for free as I do with these seeds. Also maple logs became more profitable recently. Little known fact is that Charter Trader Store in Brimhaven buys unstrung maple longs for 112 gp each if you wear Karanja gloves (1) which are given after you completed all Easy tasks from the diary . So if you use the maple logs you get for raising fletching, you can sell unstrung bows and get 112 gp from every log as a result.

I do it daily and yes I would recommend it to you as well. I even wrote a guide about it in my blog. Take a look if you are interested: How to manage your Miscellania Kingdom effectively

I guess you might get more bonuses, as their number is based on a rounded division. But someone need to try to say for sure. Anyway, in case of 9 maple workers, you would be so close to the rounded number, so I would not make sense to wait. You would have to wait 34 days to get an additional bird nest.

_-'-_What cape do you mosly wear? > 2K+ views! 200+ replies!

I usually wear Lunar Villager costume, therefore, Lunar Villager cape. The costume is awesome looking by the way. Add a dragon woodcutting axe and you get Lunar Forester! -
With bird nests an optimal strategy is to put 9 workers on maples and 6 on something else (flax or coal). 9 maple workers will give you 803 maple logs and 8 bird nests (1 nest for 100 maples). I personally get the rewards daily because of one simple reason: I plant tree seeds from the nests for Farming exp. It means that I must plant daily and collect new seeds daily. If you intend to sell seeds, then you may decide to collect once a few days or so. But still, I don't see why not to collect daily - you visit the island daily anyway to keep your favor at 100%, right?

Maybe a bit aside from the main discussion, but could you please clarify why it is outrageous that people from all over Runescape world (and other fan sites) come to Tip.it for new updates? I think it is great. It shows that Tip.it does deliver one of the best (and probably the best services to RS players). I personally do not consider myself a part of Tip.it community (too new here and I am a member of other sites), but as a player Tip.it usually the first place where I go for guides/quests/calculators and such. Why is it outrageous?

World 6 is the main one. There are also usually players in world 9.

Falconry at first and starting from around 56 mixed activities: Falconry and Chinchompas.

Yeah :-) But how would you track it? same goes for other minigames. There is no way to track how proficient people are in the minigames. That's the thing, though. What about someone with full gold cwars armor? Even winning every single game you play, it takes a total time of almost 900 hours playing cwars to get that armor, and more realistically, closer to 2000 hours. Most 99s probably don't take nearly as much time to accomplish. Does the fact that someone spent 2000 hours racking up 10 or 20 million total xp more impressive than the guy who spent 2000 hours getting full gold cwars armor? Ideally, I would love to see like a huge achievements diary/checklist which would include levels, exp, minigames, travel and such. And have a score be based on all these items. Also, just don't get me wrong, guys. I am not advocating replacing current score indicators with new ones. I am advocating adding ADDITIONAL score indicators which would be more meaningful for skillers, pures, F2P players etc.
-
There are 1M P2P players and 4M F2P players. There is no way a scoring system can/should ignore 4/5 of the players in the game. I don't disagree (except for the 'stupid' part of it :) ). I am not taking credit from people who earned their money in the game. But look: buyable skills are MUCH easier to raise! How many people have Cooking or Fletching capes? And how many people have Hunting or Slayer capes? My point that the scoring system should give MORE points/weight to the skills which cannot be bought up. You know, it IS very interesting observation. I think you are right and your method can be used to judge how focused the skills are. Yeah :-) But how would you track it? same goes for other minigames. There is no way to track how proficient people are in the minigames. Regarding total exp, I wrote earlier in this topic. I think it has the same fundamental flaws as total level.
-
Well, I am even more skeptical about total exp that total level. Reasons are: -- exp gets much easier and quicker to gain on higher levels -- same problem with people buying exp/levels paying for materials -- same problem with different complexity of the skills. -- possibility to get all your exp in combat stats and remain ignorant with non-combat skills I don't thinks total exp really good for skiller score
-
There is always an argument what is better to have: high Combat or high Total. I personally vote for high Total, but I also think that both scores are not very good in showing real skilling strength of the players. There are several issues with Total which I described in my blog here: Total Score. Is it a good score system? What do you think? Would you agree with the conclusions? Should Jagex think about making an additional score indicator for skillers?
